Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 19 - Oh, beat me, Mrs. Mercury, please, beat me!

Chapter Seven - Thoth Academy part 4

"After merging with a mystic beast's soul essence, I can control its flaming thunder abilities. I can also condense its bloodline as a part of my own. Among mystic beasts, the Flaming Thunder Stallion is rather unique in that its soul holds dual elemental affinity. Thanks to this, your teacher can hunt for elemental essence. This particular Flaming Thunder Stallion had a rank two lifeblood limit. Originally the highest Stage I could reach would have been the one I currently possess. Thanks to the mystic beast soul, I am now able to reach the advanced Spiritual Palace Stage of the Spirit Realm in the future. Of course, after reaching the Spirit Realm, I can re-integrate with a more powerful mystic beast soul of the same affinity."

As she spoke about her own cultivation, she had a deep pride displayed on her face, for all the class to see. Scarlet Mercury's words caused many of the students to be in awe, Mystic Palace Stage Magi were existences that they couldn't even correctly fathom. It was far out of their reach. It's not like everyone was born in a wealthy family that can afford the best resources like Scarlet Mercury.

Nibiru City was a megapolis and one of the few cities run by democracy. The Royale Family, the Frenzy Family, the Bazaar Family, the Graham Family, and the Divine Sun Family were the top factions in Nibiru City. The leaders of each of the four other academies were high ranking members of these families. Only Thoth Academy had a principal and staff comprised of those who were not members of the top factions, although a few members of the top factions were also apart of the school staff. In spite of this, Thoth Academy was far more popular than the other schools and families, even eclipsing the glory of the Divine Sun University!

Only the top experts of Disaster County attended Divine Sun University.

One must know, Universities and Academies were on two different levels in terms of heritage. Yet, Thoth Academy was the school with the highest reputation. The principal of Thoth Academy represented the supreme faction of Nibiru City, the upper echelon of the city. The Mayor of Nibiru City was usually chosen from among the five top factions. They would hold a martial arts tournament to compete for control every four years, with the winning family receiving the honor of choosing the next Mayor.

"From today onward, you will all be divided into two classes. One for Magi and one for Warriors. The Magi classes are in the evening while the Warrior classes are bright and early," continued Scarlet Mercury, "only those above the eighth level or in the advanced placement classes are eligible to take Magi classes."

"Teacher, why aren't they at the same time?" one of the female students asked.

"There are many people who dual cultivate the warrior path and the magi path. I, myself, am an example of this," replied Scarlet Mercury. This was met with plenty of oohing and awing.

While the other students were enthralled by the teacher's words, Lucky Riot sat in the back row of the class wearing black robes of a unique design while daydreaming. The quality of the clothing was a ubiquitous hemp brand, but he still looked handsome. Commoner students like Lucky were not required (or one could say allowed) to wear uniforms.

Lucky's long wavy black hair was braided to the back and hung to the nape of his neck. Lucky simply did not invest himself in this lecture as much as the rest of the class. It's not that he found himself to be better than anyone else. Just that this woman spoke too arrogantly! He didn't feel like learning anything from her at all.

Sitting next to him was a tall, slender, and elegant young lady with a slightly childish face that appeared to be around 15 or 16-years-old. She carried herself with elegance and had long blonde hair that now hung below her waist. Her skin was a perfect golden brown, and as smooth as polished gems. The light of intelligence apparent in her ocean-like blue eyes made it hard for people to not take her seriously. Whenever the young lady turned to look at Lucky Riot, her eyes swam with infatuation, and she wore the most beautifully warm smile on her face.

That smile was world stopping and exposed two deep dimples. Although the young lady's face was a little childish, her body definitely had the flavor of an a.d.u.l.t woman. Lucky felt she was shaped like the number eight with long legs, and this was only becoming more refined! She was currently wearing a silver dress that seemed to give her an angelic glow.

This young lady was surprisingly none other than Margot Frenzy!

After returning to Thoth, she immediately demanded to be transferred into the same homeroom as Lucky Riot. At first, she was rejected. However, a week later, she got her way. The school had no choice but to relent, as they discovered that Margot had achieved the seventh level of the Hard Body Mystic Stage! From the early phase of the sixth level to the seventh level in a mere week!

This was unheard of by the masses.

Now, she was more powerful than her older brother, Bravo, who was known as a talent that could jump ranks to fight. That, on top of her being the little princess of the Frenzy Family, made it so they could only acquiesce to her demands. They wouldn't offend this genius student over such a thing. After all, it was just a minor matter.

They knew she wouldn't remain in that class long anyway.

Lucky Riot, on the other hand, wasn't originally from Nibiru City. His family was back in Acadia, several hundred miles away. His mother had sent him out of the city because Thoth Academy was supposed to be the most exceptional school to send gifted young warriors to learn cultivation. Lucky didn't have any backing, or a force of his own in this city, which was part of the reason all these noble's sons looked down on him. His step-father may be a mega-rich entrepreneur, but Lucky had zero interest in using the status of this man to his advantage. He treated Marc Raizen as if they were two strangers.

Even more now than ever before.

"So, do you think she's pretty too?" Margot Frenzy sneered as she watched the other males in class drooling over this s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s that decided to corrupt… or it should be teaching the younger generation. Why couldn't they be more aloof towards beauties, like Kasino? Of course, Margot wouldn't share these thoughts with the man in question, "These punks are so pathetic, tsk."

"She's definitely not bad to look at," replied Lucky nonchalantly while glancing at Scarlet Mercury. Margot wanted to be upset. However, there was no l.u.s.t in Lucky's eyes, only appreciation. He wondered, was this Mrs. Mercury related to the Silver Mercury Gang as well? He had heard the students saying she was from the Royale Family, though. Suddenly, Lucky felt a nasty sensation. It was like a cross between a chill and a blade slowly piercing his flesh.

Killing intent!

Lucky was just about to go on guard when he noticed Margot was glaring at him with fire in her eyes. His back then covered in cold sweat, but he felt relief in spite of his fear. However, could that have actually been Margot? Maggie wouldn't really kill him… right? "That is… she's definitely not as cute or nearly as funny as you, Maggie."

"Aw, Kasino, really? Do you mean that?!" whispered Maggie with supreme glee in her voice and sweetness in her eyes. Eyes, which now contained so much warmth that it made Lucky's head hurt. This was a complete reversal of how she appeared just 10 seconds prior. This girl was becoming more uncontrollable by the second. Was this called being bi-polar, or merely the effects of estrogenic essence? Either way… Lucky kind of liked it.

"Of course, I… do?" Lucky only seemed to finish part of his sentence. Margot wanted to ask what happened when she noticed that Lucky's face had suddenly turned blank, and he was staring behind her. She turned her head and was greeted by round h.i.p.s that curved into a rather thin waist, making Margot instantly jealous. This woman's shape was currently two points better than her own, but Margot felt it wouldn't be challenging to catch up soon and even surpass such a level. She crossed her arms and just glared back at Scarlet Mercury, who was currently glaring at them both.

"Is there something you two would like to share with the class?" asked Scarlet Mercury, her profound orb still floating next to her, releasing a threatening aura and stifling pressure. Lucky Riot frowned. Teacher or not, he didn't enjoy feeling threatened.

"We were just discussing how your amazing c.h.e.s.t is already doing wonders to encourage and focus these young men. Such an outfit selection, completely dismissing the need for any and all forms of social decorum, is truly revolutionary," remarked Margot Frenzy in a sweet and light voice. It even had the feel of a compliment. However, every soul in the room knew better than that. This was definitely no compliment.

"You…" Scarlet Mercury's gaze turned cold, as the profound orb next to her begin to blaze and crackle loudly. "You, have you lost your pretty little mind, Miss Frenzy? This will be the first and final time I tolerate you. I do beat children."

"Oh, beat me, Mrs. Mercury, please, beat me!" Margot Frenzy feigned a servant's behavior before she stood up on her desk, and her voice became clear and compelling, "I dare you, bitch! Now let me see if you dare!"

Smack!

Crash!

To everyone's complete shock, the one that Scarlet Mercury struck was actually Lucky Riot! Lucky crashed through the three empty desks in the back row one by one. The slap came so fast that he didn't even see it happening.
