Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 29 - The Glory That No One Would See pt. 1

Everyone present was shocked! Did Lucky just disregard the words of the Vice-Principal?

Ballsy!

In the eyes of everyone here, it was utterly stupid. However, contrary to what they expected to happen, Grand Magus Caesar Calm released a sigh of relief, and then spoke candidly, "This is also fine, young man. However, what I commanded previously still stands. All of these deans will have to teach you seriously in the future, and you are the Guru's direct student."

"Okay, teachers! Time to take your students away!" boomed Magus Fierce Storm. As his voice fell, everyone had already started moving. In ten minutes, the classrooms and hallways were almost totally clear of students and staff, it was now like a ghost town.

"Kasino, Margot, come with us two old ladies," said Magus Fair-Weather gently, "We'll take you to your new dorms."

"Yes!" said Lucky and Maggie in unison, looking at each other unable to hide the glee in their eyes.

Advanced students!

Magi Apprentices!

They felt as if their lives were bound to take a new direction now.

Of course, they had no idea just how right they were.

Meanwhile, as everyone was departing, there was a desperate voice that finally woke up from his daze to shout out, "WAIT. No, wait for me~~~!!!"

Kenneth Royale ran up to the platform and bellowed at the few people remaining, his listless aunt included, "I have yet to take my assessment! Teacher, please bear witness to my glory! I will use the same chamber as Lucky to show him who is the truly talented top student."

Scarlet Mercury's eyes suddenly lit up for the first time in the last hour. That's was right. Her nephew had still yet to test! If this boy could somehow manage to place himself at least halfway up to Lucky's standard, then the wait will have been worth it! "Okay, good, quickly climb in. I'll need to trouble Grand Magus to power to the array once more."

"Certainly," said Grand Magus Caesar Calm, as the original essence chamber on the left lit up once more. Kenneth Royale wore a formal expression as he stepped in and sat down. It looked as if he was facing his life's greatest challenge.

Sometime later, Kenneth Royale exited the original pressure chamber drenched in sweat. He had used his grandfather's device to survive in the chamber a little longer. The pressure inside was torturous, and he felt like he had spent years indoors. Scarlet Mercury had forgotten to reduce the intensity due to it not affecting Casino's result in the slightest. 'Surely an inconceivably long time must have passed,' Kenneth thought.

Looking around at the full classroom surrounding him, he was incomparably excited. So excited that he forgot that he didn't enter the chamber in a classroom. 'I've done it,' he thought to himself, 'I've truly succeeded! How else would such a crowd be drawn? See the truth clown, I am the true top warrior this year!'

"Oh, Kenneth Royale, 2 hours and 45 minutes. That's a pretty damn good time, kid. You started sweating so hard around the 1-hour mark, so no one thought you would make it so far. You're aunt left some time ago. Something about reporting to duty? Anyway. You class 457 youths are truly not bad, it's my honor to have this class." Said a bald-headed teacher in white robes, "Well, that makes you an advanced academy student now, Magi class. Run along now, we're in the middle of regular old earth science class. You, with your new status, can no longer stay here."

"{:-O," Kenneth Royale was once again stunned speechless, as his mouth hung agape. The surrounding students believed birds would eventually nest there.

Kenneth Royale left the classroom feeling miserable. How could life be so depressing? There was no one left… no one stayed to watch him. The cultivation platform had been transferred back to the classroom already. They even let the night classes start, assigning that instructor to record Kenneth's results. This was in spite of Kenneth still undergoing an assessment. His homeroom teacher, who was also his married aunt, had even left him to go serve Kasino for the night!

Humiliation!

N.a.k.e.d Humiliation!

Kenneth hated it!

How would he make Margot Frenzy pay any attention to him now? After all, their families were in talks of engagement! Kenneth felt that he should be the one receiving her affection! It was at this moment he started to birth a plot to end Kasino Riot's cursed life.

...

"Are you daft, or are you mad?"

"You're mad at me for being amazing?"

"Amazing is my left nut! What on earth were you thinking?!"

"I mean, it worked out in the end, right?"

"Worked?! How would you know that? The trouble comes after we leave school, dumbass, not while we're here! In here, we're safe. Who can touch us with the protection of the deans? It's not the same shit at all when we're outside of these walls! Out there, who will want a freak like you to live?"

"You're overreacting, dude…"

"I'm overreacting? When you die, I'll tell your mom it happened because I was overreacting, how's that?"

"Oh, that's just great, you bastard. So you want me dead now? Some brother you are..."

"Ah, I see, so you're daft and deaf?"

"The deafest."

"This sovereign isn't playing with you, Kasino! You have to be careful, you know these f.u.c.k boys are dying to kill us out there!"

"Yes, mama Capp. Besides, this is why we returned here, is it not?"

"Oh, okay. Act like a f.u.c.k boy, why don't you? So, are we expected to just be turtles that never venture out? Because that's exactly what you are making us do!"

"Oh f.u.c.k you, Capp! You and Margot broke the record too, didn't you? Even Bravo almost broke it! All I did was try my best, right? My best happens to be the greatest in the history of the school! Is that so wrong?"

"What you have done is not as simple as breaking some batty record. You took a big stinky shit all over our recorded times, so why even go there?"

"It was pretty good, huh?"

"Luck, what in the hell, man!"

"Uh... I mean, it was an accident, right?"

After leaving the classroom, the Deans escorted Maggie and Lucky to the Advanced Academy gate, a bullet train station. After boarding a bullet train, Maggie and Lucky were launched forward at a speed that terrified them. The scene outside the windows seemed to zoom by so fast it turned black.

The Advanced Academy existed in an independent space. They called this space the Central Sector, and only the nobles or honor students knew it even existed.

Lucky Riot currently sat in his new dorm, a rather spacious luxury townhouse with a courtyard he shared with Bravo and Capital, which Lucky didn't know whether it was by accident or design. Technically these two were his roommates, even though they all had their own townhouse.

"I guess they're yard mates?" thought Lucky inwardly. The townhouse was approximately 213 square meters, which Lucky was more than satisfied with. After all, he and Capp's previous dorm was only 51 square meters, the difference in treatment was rather vast.

Other than the main study and kitchen downstairs, there were two cultivation rooms, two rooms dedicated to crafts and potions respectively, a bedroom, and two bathrooms - one on each floor. Lucky and all his friends were currently down in the main room, sitting around a chimney fireplace that had two couches and a table situated in front of it. Tony and Bravo were seated on either side of one couch, while Margot was sitting with perfect posture on the other couch. This was Lucky's house, so Margot had changed into a lovely and s.e.xy pink skirt and blouse. She wore a grateful smile as she sashayed into the kitchen and brought fresh tea over.

Tony watched her every movement in a mesmerized daze, totally unaffected by the words Bravo was speaking in his direction. Bravo soon felt he might as well have been talking to himself.

Currently, Capp lectured Lucky on the importance of maintaining a low profile. This was due to the weight of the secrets they possessed. They were all long since used to these two having this exact conversation whenever Lucky got provoked into doing something wild. Only this time, Lucky wasn't a weakling biting off more than he could chew. He was a peerless diamond that shined too recklessly.

"So Lucky became Magus Clear Sky and the Guru's direct student, and you became Magus Fair-Weather's, aye? That's so cool, Mags. Maybe foster father won't kill us for not coming home last summer once he finds out, yeah? I bet granddad is dancing out of his pants right now if he's got the news! We both made it, Mags!" said Bravo Frenzy. He finished with near record-breaking time, only to be surpassed by each of his friends and his baby sister. How lame was this? However, Bravo wasn't so petty as to ruin the mood with his brooding.

His younger sister had defeated their grandfather's record. This was worthy of his smile.

"This princess has naturally made it, what is there that is strange?" replied Margot Frenzy arrogantly with a cold face. She had returned to her default personality the moment she exited classroom 457. She had surpassed Bravo's recorded time, so she no longer placed this so-called big brother in her eyes, "Instead, this princess needs to know why your time is so lacking? Why would you waste energy fighting three on one today of all days? I hope that girl you tried to impress spends the next few days gargling your lost children or it's a total waste. Grandfather would have been so proud, and your road to hegemony would have easily begun! Now what? You have a girlfriend who would leave you for anyone more dazzling? Pathetic."

Bravo instantly grew irritated and wore a pained expression on his face, "I have sure doted on you for nothing, brat."

Maggie stuck her tongue out in reply, before turning and saying, "Hey Tony, why so quiet?"

"It is nothing…" replied Tony quietly. This was rather unlike his normal flamboyant behavior, "Tomorrow we begin advanced classes. This one can be said to have become… how do you say? Nervous."

"Magi class…" Lucky's eyes sparkled as he plopped down in the seat next to Maggie, whose cold countenance vanished in an instant as she leaned in closer to him and grabbed his arm in excitement. Lucky's competitive spirit was fully ignited as he chimed in, "What do you think it's going to be like? Using magic! Personally, I'm a little more excited about the advanced warrior lessons. I mean, have you SEEN this place?"

The Advanced Academy was more amazing than Lucky had ever imagined. Who knew that Nibiru City would also have a hidden city just like Kairo City in Acadia?

"Only a battle freak like you would think like this, although I, too, think like this," replied Tony with a sneer. Lucky was baffled at how Tony successfully disdained something that the latter could relate with, "How could the subtle and mysterious nature of the aether and nether be so easily understood. My reasons for wanting to be a warrior differ from your own. I would love to be a mage."

"It's a magus, dude. You can't say mage," said Capital Blacc matter-of-factly, which made Tony roll his eyes.

"Whatever. Magic is cool and all, but what could be more important than the strength of your own fist! What I want is the might to tear through any force of this universe with my own two hands! Everything else is superficial," said Lucky Riot imperiously, making sure to speak with vigor and fervor. Maggie was visibly enthralled.

"My Lucky is right once again, of course. This princess has always believed that one's own strength is the most important," said Margot Frenzy in full support of Lucky's statement, "Grandfather once told me that magic is not to be relied upon. He said true magic is beyond the scope of humans, and can only be obtained at a very advanced realm! That means that just increasing our realms is still the most important! Magic is merely a means of attack and defense! It's a weapon! Just like any other."

Lucky crossed his arms and closed his eyes in thought, and then he nodded in approval at Maggie's words. He felt they were quite astute. This made Maggie feel delighted and proud inside.

"You two… sigh…" Capp hopped over the couch and landed on the opposite side of Maggie, making her frown. This punk was disturbing her private world with Lucky again. Capp ignored Maggie's glaring gaze and continued with his words, "Can you take this a little more serious? There's a chance that we've been truly blessed with some super-secret lucky chance, right? But there's also a chance that this is actually something dangerous! We have to proceed carefully, all right?"

"Captain Capp is correct, my friends. We must seriously train from this day forward. I, for one, will have no more of the time for the playing!" said Antonio Bazaar III regally as he stood up with his c.h.e.s.t puffed up proudly. He bowed towards his friends and turned to walk out the door with a dramatic flair.

Lucky and Bravo exchanged a look as strange glints passed through their eyes. Bravo spoke first, "I'll go check on him. Something must have happened, right?"

"Who knows," replied Lucky indifferently. Bravo was unbothered by this response. Since they had grown up together, Bravo knew that Kasino rarely showed any emotion other than anger and being an asshole. Due to this, he wasn't offended. To him, this was just the way Kasino was.

"Mags, you coming?" asked Bravo Frenzy as he stood to leave.

"No," replied Margot Frenzy instantly, dumbfounding Bravo.

'Poor Tony,' Bravo had a premonition that he suddenly knew what was wrong with his good friend. This little sister of his was apparently 120% team Lucky. It had become even more feverish than previously. There was no changing this anymore, it was even worse now than before her coma.

Before, Lucky's lack of progress put a lot of pressure on Maggie. However, now that he was the most talented individual in this grade level, she felt totally relaxed. What was worse was that the Lucky Riot, who used to typically ignore Maggie, had been returning her advances instead. He had even made a few of his own advances!

Initially, Bravo felt that as a commoner, Lucky would ultimately know his place. So far, this proved to be true. Unfortunately, now this brat had a change of heart for some reason. Bravo thought it was likely because he thought he was going to become one of the Magi soon. If that happened, he would indeed advance past his commoner status.

"Hey brat, let's clear the air right now!" said Bravo Frenzy suddenly and imperiously. Lucky Riot looked up and then rose from his seat to meet Bravo's green eyes fearlessly, in spite of not knowing what the commotion was about. He didn't really care for the Bravo that calls him a brat, he instantly wanted to beat him up for showing this face.

Bravo stared into Lucky's big and intense hazel eyes and discovered that they were already at the same height level as each other. Not only that, Lucky's body now gave off an intimidating aura, just like his younger sister, when she broke through to the seventh level a week or so back.

"Seventh level…" This made Bravo feel a mountain of pressure, as the d.e.s.i.r.e to get stronger grew firmer in his heart. They were all at the seventh level now, yet Maggie and Lucky made him feel so small? Nonetheless, he still stood his ground, "What are your intentions being so close to my sister?! Tell me straight up now!"

"My intentions?" Lucky Riot was taken aback and lost his growing momentum. He had never seriously considered such a thing. He realized Margot had a romantic interest in him, and he also had amorous feelings towards her, but he had never spared it any extra thought.

"Johnny!" Margot said frantically, catching Lucky and Capital entirely off guard. Did she just call him Johnny?

"Be quiet!" Bravo Frenzy barked. He was starting to feel frustrated. Margot fell utterly silent, out of what seemed like an instinctual fear. Bravo felt his blood start moving in natural circulation, and his green eyes became azure and feral. His muscles tightened as his aura changed and became far more intense.

He no longer felt pressured by Maggie, but the pressure around Lucky merely decreased a lot. He looked at the startled Lucky Riot, dead in his eyes, and said, "You heard it right, I was born John Bravus Frenzy II! My father has forbidden the use of this name until I reach the Spiritual Palace Stage!"

"Johnny, stop! You can't!" screamed Margot Frenzy. Capp was somewhat nervous and swept up in the drama of the moment. Lucky, on the other hand, was skeptical and unamused. What reason did Bravo, Johnny, or whoever the hell this guy was, believe he could speak to Lucky in this manner? He was asking for trouble.

Friend or no friend, Lucky wouldn't tolerate being disrespected. Sometimes not even under threat of death! Bravo had better watch his words, or Lucky wouldn't mind slapping him around for a bit.

"You forced me to do this!" spat Bravo at Margot, which shut her up again. She suddenly realized he was right and retreated subconsciously. She had been quite willful with Kasino lately. Bravo locked eyes with that same Kasino and seemed to see the disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in them. No matter what, they were already friends. Not only that, this place was Kasino's dorm! Considering this, Bravo lowered his voice to a more polite tone. He took a step back and said, "We all know that my little sister has a crush on you, Kasino! Don't play with her! If you really like her, make it known now!"

"Is that seriously what this is about?" asked Lucky in irritation, "What if I say I don't?"

Margot Frenzy looked utterly distraught when she heard this. It was like her soul had flown away. Seeing this, Lucky immediately felt guilty. He didn't mean to scare this lovely beauty who spoiled him with affection, he spoke out of anger. Seeing her like this calmed him down a bit, as he was already beginning to get upset.

"If the answer is no, then you need to stay away from her! Tony's a great guy from a good family. Hell, that Kenneth Royale may not be so bad either. Maggie could live a good life with someone like them!" roared Bravo in a low voice.

"Lucky already has a fiancé, you twit!" said Margot with watery eyes, which had also turned feral at some point, her body radiating strong vitality. Maggie was clearly irritated by Lucky's previous response, she thought maybe she wasn't in his heart after all. She spoke slowly and deliberately to her older brother, "Furthermore, you are no longer stronger than me. You can no longer control my fate! Do I have to spell this out for you, Johnny? I. Do. Not. Want. To. Marry. Any. Of. Your. Dirty. Friends."

"You are a member of my pride, it is my birthright! You! Will! Yield!" shouted Bravo Frenzy aggressively. Maggie looked instinctively terrified once more and shrunk, retreating behind Lucky like a frightened kitten.
