Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 37 - His... Wife?

Walking away from the training field, Lucky Riot watched as at least 30 students returned to their dormitories or scurried to other places on campus. A few of them even left toward the bullet train to Thoth High School. Only 17 people remained walking towards the classroom 57, for the beginning of Magi Class. Among these 17 people, only six came from the junior students while the near dozen others were senior students. These dozen others included Kenneth Royale, Violet Mercy, and her apparent beau. As for the junior students involved among these people were Caine Sinatra, Margot Frenzy, Aubrey Graham, as well the girl named Rebecca and her pursuer Timothy.

"So few people actually attend the Magi class? How prestigious," Lucky said as he rubbed his tiny beard stubble.

"It takes true affinity with the original forces to become a magus," responded Margot Frenzy, matter-of-factly. She seemed well educated on these matters, "My daddy told me once that magic is the only reason that our kind was born! I don't completely get it, but he swears that not becoming a powerful magus would be a waste of god's gift to me or something…"

Lucky Riot felt a bit stunned, as Maggie had never spoken of her father in front of him before. Actually, he only became aware of that due to this being the first time! He actually felt a little touched once he realized this. Obviously, his place in her heart had become a bit more prominent! Luckily, he wasn't just a piece of meat she had been waiting to taste.

"Aw, the legendary Hur Frenzy, famed all across Avaria for his prowess. Truly, the angel comes from the heavens above. We can only dream of reaching such heights," came a melodious but slightly deep and bassy voice. Lucky and Margot turned their heads to see a blonde-haired fatty who appeared to be age 17. He had handsome features and a full and thick mustache.

"I was not talking to you, lard boy!" sneered Margot, "I was speaking to my man."

This fatty was a few inches taller than Lucky, and absolutely as thick as three Luckys combined. Lard boy wore multi-color brocade clothes and carried a cauldron on his back in the way most would take a sword. Lucky found himself rather amused by this fatty's appearance, though his face remained stoic. Subconsciously, he already labeled this fatty an enemy the moment he noticed Kenneth Royale walking imperiously next to him.

The Fatty continued on with his praise, "In this Magi Class, how could the daughter of such a famous madman fall short of standing out? It is predestined. Oh, heavenly angel, if only my lowly self were able to sniff the bottom of your little toe, how magical would that be?"

To Lucky's actually befuddlement, Margot Frenzy actually giggled at the fatty's words, causing the former to grimace. Margot quickly looked at Lucky coquettishly as she retreated half a step behind his stride, but she still maintained her smile for this new fatty.

Noticing her actions, the fatty too grimaced, as he sized up Lucky Riot for the first time, "Hey you, the skinny brat. This angel has fallen from heaven for too long, forgetting how to fly. Fortunately for my lady, I happen to run a flight school. Why don't you scram while this young master begins his lessons?"

Brazen!

Tactless!

Lucky instantly decided to punch this guy's fat face until it caved in.

Just as Lucky was about to take action against this audacious bastard, he was interrupted by another voice that was emotionless yet elegant, "A senior, trying to bully a junior and steal his woman? I wonder how people should feel about this."

Turning his head, Lucky saw the emotionless eyes of Caine Sinatra, his dreads lightly swaying as he stepped in-between the Lucky-Margot pair and the fatty. Caine continued to speak in contempt, "Bruce Presley? A bit disappointing."

"And what is this brat Kasino, something impressive?" Kenneth Royale sneered in disdain, "Just because he broke some dog's shit record? This young master also broke this record, am I very amazing? Hmph. He's hardly worth mention when it comes fist to fist!"

"Dog?" Margot Frenzy's eyes turned feral, and her aura suddenly intensified. However, Lucky grabbed her hand gently, and her mood did a 180-degree turn.

"Oh yeah, little Kenny, how'd you get here? You broke my record?! Why hadn't I heard of this? When did you even enter the chamber?" asked Lucky Riot casually.

Kenneth Royale felt like he had just swallowed a fly, his face twisted in disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. How dare this brat bring that up in front of Margot. Kenneth wouldn't be so foolish as to continue down this dangerous lane.

Bruce's pale face immediately brightened to a shade of bright red, as he huffed and puffed, speaking to Caine complacently, "Kenneth's right! You just be quiet, brat! Just because our clans have history does not make you worthy of speaking to me. This young master has already obtained the ninth level of the Hardbody Realm. How is this brat worthy of the woman that I, Babyfat Bruce, want? I have the answer ready for you, no need to rack your pathetic brains. He, this trash, is not."

Kenneth Royale's face darkened considerably after hearing the fatty's words. After all, Margot was soon to be betrothed to him and him alone.

Margot's face suddenly became dark once she heard the words 'woman that I want', but her eyes which had just become beautiful and blue once more turned azure and feral the moment Bruce uttered the word 'trash.' Being close enough to catch this already, the fatty Bruce was distraught! Where did the smile from a second ago go to? That smile was what was giving him the confidence to put a claim on her!

But now she looked like a lioness about to pounce…

"Watch your mouth," Just as Margot was about to snap, Lucky's deep voice sounded out, which startled her and the young men present.

The two young men looked at him skeptically. Caine thought that this Kasino didn't know when to leave well enough alone. The Sinatra clansmen had already stepped forward to his defense out of goodwill. He felt that Kasino should have handed the baton already. Bruce believed Kasino was trying to show off for Margot, which infuriated him more. Kenneth sneered and made a face like he was about to watch a good show.

On the other hand, Margot had a sweet feeling in her heart as she watched Lucky step in front of her. Meanwhile, Lucky ignored the shock and contempt on Caine's face, as well as the anger and jealousy on Bruce's face. He simply never looked at Kenneth this entire time, but at this moment, he pointed the finger at him. Lucky's blood was already on the verge of heating up, "Do not speak to Maggie like you know her. Also, if you call me trash again, there will be heavy consequences. Just ask his aunt."

"You dare!" Kenneth Royale roared.

The fatty Bruce looked at this smoldering-volcano-like appearance of Lucky Riot and suddenly calmed down. Bruce was no idiot, and he savored his life a lot. Bruce Presley had actually felt a bit of danger from this guy just now. It was a deadly type of feeling he had never experienced, and he didn't like it.

Someone at the seventh level had the strength to intimidate him?

Bruce found himself no longer able to believe the rumors stating Lucky was just a commoner. Thus he took a step back as he spoke again, "To think the great waste of the school had grown so vicious. Rumors truly cannot be trusted. No worries, no worries."

"Hmph. Merely a stray dog trying to find a home," Kenneth Royale spat in disdain.

"Hmph. Come on, Lucky," said Margot as she pulled Lucky by the arm she had locked, vanishing into the classroom. Bruce felt a little reluctant, but when he saw Lucky smiling at him sarcastically, he almost lost it.

It was as if the brat was saying, 'yeah, you are stronger. So what? She's still on my arm, punk!'

Fatty Bruce gnashed his teeth and entered the classroom as well, followed by the other students. Once the classroom was full, there was a total of 25 students seated in five rows of five desks. Lucky instantly spread out his psyche perception upon entering the room, and was shocked to find that seven of these students had faces he had never once seen before. One more of them was someone who had been promoted back during his first year.

Lucky couldn't help but wonder how much stronger this youth, Craig Crack, had become. What shocked Lucky, however, was that all the seating for the class was assigned. The students who had been promoted to advanced class before this year's term seemed accustomed to this, and thus the new students - namely Aubrey, Caine, Lucky, Margot, Kenneth, and a couple of students Lucky didn't know were forced to quickly acclimate. In this group, Lucky was shocked to see a young lady with attractive features and flowing purple hair. Her skin was the color of pearls, and her eyes were a deep brown, with traces of a different color.

For some reason, Lucky felt this young lady seemed familiar. However, she was clearly a couple of years his junior, so he had no idea how he would know her. However, he was shocked to find she was even prettier than Margot was at that age, it was truly appalling. In another year, would she surpass Maggie? The class was currently clamoring about Margot and the other two angels. After all, it was the first time they were all in the same place!

"Can you believe it? All three angels are in our class!"

"The springtime has finally arrived for us, fellas!"

"It's really the Angelic Trinity, they're all here."

"Come on, guys, there are plenty of beauties in AP! It's definitely not like your world below."

"Name one chick that looks like Margot!"

"Well... maybe not Margot. After all, she truly fits the title angel."

"Don't forget, Violet! She's dumb hot."

"Shut up! Jim will hear you, stupid."

In a strange twist of fate, Violet and her beau ended up right next to each other. However, in the next row, directly behind her seat, was none other than Lucky Riot! Lucky was continually using his psyche perception, which could cover the entire room without difficulty. This way, everything was identified at a perceptive force state level. There was hardly anything in the place that would go unnoticed by him!

To Lucky's shock, he wasn't the only person with a powerful psyche in the room. There were two others with slightly weaker perceptive force and two more with a much more fragile psyche! As long as Lucky didn't engage any spirit power, these youths wouldn't be able to detect his perception. Since his perception was evenly spread out, Lucky would notice immediately if they spread theirs out at all. Especially since they seemed to use spirit power every time they did so.

That was how he became aware of four other sources of perceptive force. One was coming from directly in front of him and was locked on to himself. This was Lucky's first time feeling such a sensation so clearly, but he seemed to find it familiar. Apparently, he had been locked on to before without noticing. Quite often, at that. Nonetheless, this psyche perception clearly belonged to Violet Mercy.

"How curious… I wonder how long she's been able to fuse her psi with perceptive force? I first entered the Perceptive Force State before I had even completely become a Hardbody Stage warrior, but her psyche is only a bit weaker than my own. Could she have awakened it at the second or third level?" Lucky Riot mused silently. Most warriors didn't perceive perceptive force until they reached the seventh level of the Hardbody Realm. From that point onward, it would increase in strength along with the Stage of the warrior. For those who could awaken their psyche perception early, they held more potential for growth and could develop specific talents sooner.

Talents like ESP!

"If only I had better scenery…" Lucky's only problem with his seating arrangement was that directly to his left sat Kenneth Royale. This was less than ideal, as Lucky didn't really want to fight in Magi class. He wanted to be a magus! However, some people kept mistaking him for a coward. This would likely require him to rearrange a face or two.

"This is so stupid!" came a light and airy voice laced in frustration. Lucky was immediately aware that this was Margot's voice! She was huffing two rows ahead, sitting once again next to Caine Sinatra on the left as well as Bruce Presly on her right. She was so annoyed, cursing with her sweet mouth and girly voice, "Why does this princess have to sit up here with you dorks? What kind of dog shit seating arrangement is this? Stupid, stupid, stupid!"

Caine Sinatra spoke with ease, "It's not so bad shortie, you have the best seat in the house. Once my symphony begins, who won't want to be you?"

"Oh yeah? You still planning to write me a song?" asked Margot Frenzy excitedly. Her mood flipped too quickly, many of the other students watching the play found it a bit inconceivable. How could this girl change her attitudes so swiftly? Lucky also found this odd.

"A new ballad for you, my lady," smiled Caine as he attempted to place his hand over Maggie's, but it landed on the desk. Margot had swiftly retracted her hand, so quick it seemed accidental. Caine was caught off guard, but he played it off by grabbing the rubber band on her desk. He tied his dreaded hair into a bun as he continued, "Perhaps the melody will help with any of your night terrors. May thoughts of me become whispers on your lips at night."

"Shameless," spat Bruce Presly from the other side, his fat trembling slightly in indignation. He finally realized that this punk was never defending Lucky Riot, he was simply trying to woo Margot! "No one wants to listen to you fart all day, kid, believe you me."

"Oh shut it, the both of you! This won't do at all! This princess simply can NOT be in-between you two imbeciles." Margot Frenzy placed her hands on her head, seemingly depressed. Watching this scene, Lucky was feeling quite amused. Margot seemed to have pursuers everywhere, she was truly stunning. Perhaps he was so accustomed to her advances that he had never honestly noticed how much attention she received.

Glancing forward at Violet, he saw her neck turn a bit red and felt her psyche disappear. He smirked as he knew she was still paying close attention to him at this moment and was afraid he would notice. Lucky considered ignoring this woman from now on. However, he suddenly frowned as he thought that he should dare to be bold and chose to voice his feelings aloud, "Could it be that you truly consider yourself beneath one and above all others? Am I, your fiancé, no longer even eligible to receive a greeting from my wife-to-be?"

Silence!

Shock!

"What did that kid just say..."

"His... wife?"

"Isn't that the Violet Storm? Is he daft?"

"So this is one of the new students? Looks like the ice goddess has unfinished karma among mortals."

"Jimmy's not going to like this one bit..."
