Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 6 - Eye Of Horus and the Sacred Wall

Chapter Two - The Sacred Blessings part 2

'Why were the five of us so special?' Bravo thought to himself.

One could only imagine how upset the Frenzy Family elders were at the time.

"It's good you've arrived, Kasino. Capital." Bravo Frenzy spoke in his deep voice as he stood up and struck hands with the two newcomers. This was the new way to handshake, how the youths of this era greeted each other. Bravo was a tall and robust like a hunk, and he gave people a secure feeling. His long blonde hair hung down to his c.h.e.s.t, and his even and lighter complexion was rather fair. He poked his c.h.e.s.t out and spoke with vigor, "Finally we can begin. I have been waiting for this chance all year. I have a pleasant feeling that this year's blessing will fall upon me."

"No way, no fair! Last year, Kasino hogged all the blessings. Even worse, the year before that it was big brother and Bottle-Capp," Maggie huffed angrily, and she stood up to berate her brother, "If this princess does not receive a sacred blessing this year I... I'll... I'll get daddy to blow this alley all the way to the Valley of Death!"

Maggie Frenzy always possessed a sort of pride that was impeded into her soul itself, she was a real firecracker.

"Little dove, this is extreme, no? Of course, the blessing should belong to you and no one else," Tony spoke with a smooth and refreshing tone. He was a head taller than Bravo but slim and athletic. His mannerisms were quite flamboyant, but he fancied himself as a ladies man, "Merely if someone else was to receive a sacred blessing, it should naturally be I, Antonio Bazaar III."

"Do you two ever get sick of hearing yourselves talk?" Lucky Riot was getting a headache already. How many days had he dealt with these idiots and their antics? But today was different. It was the anniversary of the day his life changed. Lucky was somehow given a great gift!

Unfortunately, it also ended up being a great curse.

"Today, we are are not here for this," Lucky turned to face the wall of the alley. The four youths behind him all wore serious faces with eyes full of reverence as they glanced at the seemingly regular brick wall in front of them. Lucky walked up to the wall and placed his hand on it.

Eye of Horus!

Lucky Riot's eyes flashed as the ethereal Eye of Horus tattoo appeared above his glabella. The symbol was nearly invisible and had a mystic appeal.

Perceptive Force State!

The first time Lucky Riot came here, the mysterious man used his scarlet golden eyes to look Lucky deep in his own hazel eyes. There was a strange warmth in that man's gaze, and his voice was like someone who had experienced myriad trials of the heavens and the earth.

The words he spoke that day still reverberated in Lucky's mind, "My... son... the sky is what you are... but the dragon... sleeps within... Amun will light your path... I pray we meet again…"

"Never have fear... new sky fall herald... I give you the gift... of the Pharaoh!"

The man spoke only this sentence to Lucky. He said it as if trying to sing him a nursery rhyme that ended with shouting as nine claps of thunder resounded in the sky. The man faded into dazzling flashes of golden light that submerged instantly into Lucky's body.

As far as Lucky Riot knew, before this day he was a regular kid training to enter the Hard Body Stage but failing miserably. He always worried whether or not his mother would disown him once his little sister revealed a talent that left himself in the dust. After all, Lucky didn't have any of her same advantages growing up. However, after this encounter, he became able to perceive things that he had never noticed before. He could even feel people's intention before they spoke any words.

This was known to only be possible with powerful esp, the driving force behind mana production.

It was an unusual sensation.

Also, anything Lucky came in contact with he could understand thoroughly in a short amount of time. Most surprising was that he discovered he could activate some type of magic spell on the walls. After doing so for the first time, a blue light invaded the minds of himself and Capital.

For Lucky, the blue light was actually something called a soul map! It automatically guided his soul into absorbing origin energy as he cultivated, increasing the strength of his soul and awakening his spirit power!

Before this event, Lucky had undoubtedly never heard of spirit power. Even now, he simply didn't understand this power. There were many things his mother refused to teach him for reasons he also didn't understand. However, due to his increasing intelligence and wisdom due to the influence of his spirit power, he was slowly able to comprehend more and more of this ability — the Eye of Horus.

Even if Lucky couldn't be called dumb before, calling him simple-minded would be an understatement. One indeed had to be literal when speaking with the previous Lucky. However, as his spirit power grew stronger, he became wiser and his thinking more profound.

Afterward receiving these rewards, whether it was Capp or Lucky, both felt absolutely compelled to return in exactly a year. It was as if these thoughts were ghosts determined to haunt them until the end. Then, one day, Lucky was shocked awake. He was floating and literally staring down at his own body! He had an out of body experience, or what was known as an astral projection. From that day forward, he had been able to use psychic energy, or psi, not just esp. Shortly after this, he also comprehended an ability that allowed him to summon an ethereal third eye!

The third eye would enable his mind to be completely clear of its natural inhibitors, providing him more sensitivity and control over his abilities and comprehension skill. Ordinary mortals could only dream of such an ability or use miracle drugs to temporarily explore a similar state.

This was the Eye Of Horus.

"Enough memory lane..."

Lucky stopped wasting time and activated the spell. The wall suddenly released a dazzling golden light, as the youths all marveled. Meanwhile, Lucky Riot walked to the other wall, and soon both walls were alight with golden hieroglyphics that danced and moved in a mystical pattern. It seemed to tell an incredible story from ancient times.

As these images danced in the eyes of these youths, their bodies started to resonate and undergo subtle changes that they were simply too weak to notice.

"So pretty..." Maggie Frenzy's eyes were as bright as stars as she stared at this phenomenon that had become an annual event in her life for the last seven years.

"Truly, this never gets old," said Bravo Frenzy. "Tony, quickly kowtow! This is your chance to gain the favor of the mighty walls of sacred blessings!"

"Yes!" Antonio collapsed and smacked his face against the ground three times, before shouting up to the sky with his arms open wide in welcome, "Oh great and powerful god of the alleyway! Please grant me your boon!"

"Is this guy serious?" Capp asked Lucky, who just laughed dryly.

At that moment the golden light of the hieroglyphs burned a scarlet golden color and two fist-sized spheres of scarlet light condensed in the air in front of each wall. They swelled in size to appear like a pair of menacing eyes, before shrinking down to half their original size. The spheres then vibrated fiercely and flew directly into the glabella of Lucky Riot and Maggie Frenzy respectively.

They both suddenly passed out, but Bravo immediately caught Maggie, while Tony and Capp grabbed Lucky.

"Fortunate bastards," grumbled Bravo, but he had a warm smile on his face as he held his baby sister. "Sorry Tony, no dice. Maybe next year, yeah?"

"This is bullshit!" Tony Bazaar threw Lucky Riot towards the wall aggressively in frustration.

"Hey, cut it out, f.u.c.k boy!" Capp caught Lucky again and then executed a well-aimed kick, jamming his foot down Tony's throat with his fifth level Hard Body Stage strength. Antonio Bazaar III, who was at the peak phase of the fourth level, also summoned the power of his body's mystic essence and guarded his head.

*Pah*

Tony was knocked back 12 feet before he steadied himself. His lifeblood roiled, and his face wore a grimace. Clearly, he had bit off more than he could chew by challenging Capital. Who many years had passed since he was able to make Capp cower in fear beneath his foot?

Now, this brat was the strongest among them all.

"Ugh. I don't get it, Capp. How come this wastrel gets a blessing every year even though he makes no improvement, yet here I am busting my a.s.s to get into the advanced classes." Antonio felt disgruntled since he had never received a blessing. Why did the magic wall hate him so much? Little did Tony know that the powers hidden in the wall indeed despised him.

"Call him trash one more time, and I'll bust your a.s.s for you," said Capp Blacc aggressively.

"That's enough you two," Bravo spoke to interrupt the conflict. Although Antonio was his best friend, Capp had earned Bravo's respect in the last couple of months. After all, their strength was nearly even. Sometimes, Bravo even felt Capp may be stronger than himself, "We all know the rules. The sacred blessings are theirs now, and will be theirs for life."

"What do think they got this time?" asked Tony with a smile after the previous commotion died down.

"Won't we naturally know when they wake up?" said Capp, anticipation dripping from his eyes. He couldn't wait to see what lucky chance Lucky would receive this year!

Every time one of them received a blessing, they would be rendered unconscious while their body's glowed in runic light. As the glow faded, the person was closer to waking up. Usually, this took up to an hour at the most. However, three hours after receiving their own blessings, the scarlet light glow surrounding Lucky and Maggie had yet to fade in the slightest.

"Could something be wrong?" said Capp Blacc nervously as he watched his two unconscious friends.

"It has never taken this long…of this, I am sure. People will surely start to look for us if we stay here too long, no?" asked Tony Bazaar, who was just as nervous as Capp, if not more.

"Remember what happened to everyone who tried before? No one can invade here." Bravo Frenzy wore a deep frown. "But you're right. From that glow, they're not even close to waking up. If they don't wake up before class tomorrow, what will we do?"

"Well, …we could leave them here, right? Like you said, no one can find them here."
