The pirates were shocked to see Squard attack his own Boss/ Dad. Whitebeard himself was shocked as he couldn't think of anything right out of the mind for Squards betrayal.

Marco who was near quickly rushed towards Squard and asked, "Why did you do that Squard? Why did you try to attack Pops?"

Whitebeard controlled his emotions and asked, "Why?"

"Stop pretending the farce, WhiteBeard. I know about your deal with the Navy. You have their assurance that Whitebeard Pirates and Ace will remain safe", said Squard.

Other people of the Allied Pirates also were confused about what is happening and what is Squard trying to say after trying to kill Whitebeard.

Then Whitebeard told him about their (Ace and Squard) journey and how much they have gone through with each other support and also that he didn't dove any of his sons more than the other. Everyone is a family to him.

After that Squard began to cry. Whitebeard was really angry. He punched the frozen wave and destroyed it along with the ice that covered the allies' ship's boats.

"If you are a pirate, you pick what you want to believe on your own", shouted Whitebeard loudly. All the allied pirates who were doubtful knew that it was the Navy's plan. So they chose to fight with Whitebeard rather than to run away.

"Those of you who will follow me lay down your life for it", saying that Whitebeard started to run towards the Plaza.
