A teacher afraid of his students. This kind of comment caused serious damage to the teacher’s dignity. Although Bai Ruan’s self-respect as a teacher had diminished after crying, he did not want to admit to Lang Jing Feng that he was afraid of him.

As a result, Bai Ruan reluctantly stretched out his curled up upper body a bit, straightened his chest and tried to lie, “I’m not afraid…”

Before he could finish his sentence, Lang Jing Feng reached out his hand and poked Bai Ruan on the cheek again. Bai Ruan shuddered in shock and was rendered speechless.

The original demons consisted of different breeds and had different innate abilities. Just like the wolf demon’s natural physical strength and bravery, a soft and white body was the inborn talent of the rabbit demon. Bai Ruan’s skin was difficult to tan and wasn’t muscular. His face was especially tender and soft. When poked with one finger, it felt like poking marshmallow. When the fingers were released, his cheek would tremble slightly, making him look adorable.

In Lang Jing Feng’s heart, an evil fire was aroused. He wanted to touch Bai Ruan again, but Bai Ruan moved towards the window, clinging to the radiator under the window still and used his limbs to silently indicate his wish of “staying as far as possible” from Lang Jing Feng.

Lang Jing Feng was happy. “Aren’t you scared right now?”

Having said that, Lang Jing Feng was scorched by the fire and couldn’t help but stretch out his hand to touch Bai Ruan’s ears. Bai Ruan trembled again in fright, wishing to distance himself and hide behind the heater.

The young man retracted his itchy hand, forcibly put it back into his trouser pocket, and severely bit his lower lip to resist the inexplicable restlessness in his body. He said, “One poke and you jump, are you a rabbit?”

In fact, if the other party were to be someone else, especially another guy, Lang Jing Feng would think that the other person was dumb. Who would want to touch you? What’s the use of hiding?

However, since Bai Ruan was behaving like this, Lang Jing Feng felt completely different. One of the reasons could be because Bai Ruan was so good-looking and it was difficult to be annoyed by people with such a high aesthetic. It was difficult to explain the latter reason. In short, Lang Jing Feng felt that Bai Ruan’s appearance had a strange harmony. It was as if Bai Ruan’s character and personality could be encouraging, confident and natural.

More importantly, Bai Ruan’s little white rabbit-like temperament and actions evoked Lang Jing Feng’s deliberately suppressed wolfishness. Only so many times of “bullying” Bai Ruan and his reactions gave Lang Jing Feng a subtle pleasure. It was the feeling of hunting a small animal in the forest and once it was suppressed under the wolf’s paws, it dared not resist. So he could only tearfully let Lang Jing Feng do whatever he pleased.

Lang Jing Feng took a deep breath, feeling that the evil fire that was burning in his heart had almost burned all the way south, down to his pants and crotch. He hurriedly stopped and waved away the delusion in his head. Supporting his weight on the table with one hand, his upper body leaned close to Bai Ruan and he asked, “What is it about me that you’re afraid of?”

Bai Ruan did not say a word, using silence to maintain the last bit of his dignity as a teacher.

Lang Jing Feng urged in a low voice, “I asked you a question.”

The tone was much more domineering than Bai Ruan’s, the homeroom teacher.

Bai Ruan shook his head, gritted his teeth and said, “I’m really not afraid of you…”

The young teenager tutted, “Still being stubborn?”

In fact, Lang Jing Feng had heard about the demon spirits and he also knew that weak herbivorous monsters naturally feared his kind. However, as the second generation of a wolf demon, Lang Jing Feng had come in contact with many demons since he was a child. Basically, they were either relatives or friends of his parents, as well as the children of his parents’ friends.

The demons that were closely related to Lang Jing Feng’s parents were mostly carnivorous beasts. Most of them were tigers, lions, leopards and wolves. The worst were the hyenas. Even if there were occasional herbivorous demons, they were also the rhinoceros or the elephants, the breeds that were not afraid of carnivorous beasts. Not only were there no other breeds around him, Lang Jing Feng had never heard of anyone who had actually seen a rabbit, mouse, chicken or duck demon. After all, these weaker animals had a hard enough time trying to survive, let alone cultivating into spirits.

Therefore, in Lang Jing Feng’s mind, the rarity of rabbit demons was almost equal to that of aliens. If he was told that there were rabbit demons in this world, he would swiftly say that he believed it. However, if you were to tell him there was one right in front of him, he would think you were speaking nonsense.

Thus, he didn’t think much about that at all. As a student, he was indeed bad and it was not uncommon for young teachers to be afraid of him.

“I see.” Lang Jing Feng thought for a moment and then said clearly, “Did you hear the rumours that I beat a teacher in my previous school?”

Bai Ruan didn’t deny it because he was really afraid of it being true.

“There’s a reason as to why I did it.” Lang Jing Feng exhaled heavily and frowned. “There was a teacher in my previous school who specialised in experimental classes. That day, I left my phone in the laboratory and went back to get it after classes ended. I saw him putting his hands on a girl in our class. She was so frightened that she cried, so I took the beaker and beat that idiot.”

Bai Ruan’s eyes moved slightly.

“It’s true,” Lang Jing Feng said as he yawned rudely above Bai Ruan’s head. “I’m a good person, don’t be afraid.”

“You…” Bai Ruan was grabbed by the wolf’s paws, making his hair stand up on end. Just as he wanted to remind Lang Jing Feng that he was also a teacher, the young man had already walked to Liu Zhen’s table and flipped over the answers.

Bai Ruan believed that Lang Jing Feng was telling the truth because the issue of beating up a teacher was too serious. Even if Lang Jing Feng’s family was powerful, it was still difficult for them to keep his records free from stain. But if the school had a beast teacher, the school would want to cover it up. The school wanted to cover up the scandal so they found ways to silence Lang Jing Feng and the girl who was molested. It also made sense not to hold him responsible for hurting others.

It was definitely a good thing to be brave enough to see righteousness, but why was Lang Jing Feng’s aura still black? It was so dark, as if he were being condemned by the gods… Bai Ruan thought anxiously. His fear was reduced a little but he was still afraid.

Lang Jing Feng turned over a thin booklet from Liu Zhen’s desk, turned a few pages, and said, “It should be this.”

“Here are the detailed steps to solve the problem. Please read it carefully and write in the exercise book.” Bai Ruan pushed the round tail back into his butt and got up. Feeling his already weak legs trembling, he timidly walked towards the door.

Lang Jing Feng, who looked calm, walked two steps towards Bai Ruan, as if trying to catch him. “Aren’t you going to supervise me while I do my homework?”

“Uh,” Bai Ruan was afraid of being taken back by the little wolf cub again, so he forcefully came up with an explanation, “I’m going to the bathroom.”

“Go,” Lang Jing Feng curled his lips up, deliberately teasing him, “come back soon.”

Bai Ruan walked out of the office feeling humiliated.

At the end, who was the teacher!?

After going to the toilet and solving his physical problems, Bai Ruan didn’t dare to go back to the office and be alone with the little wolf cub. As Class 4 was having English that period, he couldn’t return to the classroom. In the end, he went to the playground, found a shady place to sit on and played with his mobile phone.

It was absolutely impossible to go on like this… Bai Ruan remembered the embarrassing scene of crying in front of Lang Jing Feng half an hour ago and pulled his hair in distress.

The fear of the little wolf cub had seriously affected his work and this was obviously not an obstacle that could be overcome in a short amount of time. Bai Ruan was anxious as he clicked on the WeChat mailing list, hovering his fingertips over an avatar for a while before hesitatingly pressing it.

Bai Ruan was really embarrassed to disturb Master Yun Qing’s practice because of this small issue, but he had endured it for three days and still felt really helpless. He had no choice but to ask Master for advice.

Bai Ruan, “Master, are you there? Can you give me a reply when it is convenient?”

For a long time, there was no response from the other side and Bai Ruan held up his phone in despair, worrying wholeheartedly.

Although it was completely written according to the answer sheet, Lang Jing Feng finally completed his math homework. In the afternoon during the third period, Liu Zhen called the naughty teenager back to Class 4.

Lang Jing Feng seemed to be quite dissatisfied with Bai Ruan’s action of not returning to the staffroom. After returning back to his class, he kept a gloomy face. When Bai Ruan supervised his evening self-study period, he felt that he was almost pierced by Lang Jing Feng’s sharp gaze.

Finally, it was the end of the night self-study session. Bai Ruan walked out of the school building, with jelly-like legs and briefcase in his hands. He took a big breath of fresh air that was without the smell of wolf and walked towards the school gate. At this time, Zhou Hao Chen, who had been called by Bai Ruan to talk in the afternoon today, also happened to walk out of the gate. A gloomy aura exuded all over his body. His gait1 was erratic like a wandering soul.

Bai Ruan was very concerned about this student, so he quickly walked through the crowd to take another look, but discovered that something was amiss. Zhou Hao Chen’s new home was near the school. He only needed to walk east for ten minutes after leaving the school gate and would reach his house. There was no need to take the bus or the subway. But at this moment, Zhou Hao Chen was walking in the opposite direction. It was the way to the subway station and Bai Ruan’s usual route to home.

Bai Ruan stayed calm and followed him, thinking if he were to be seen by Zhou Hao Chen, he would say that he was going to take the subway. However, Zhou Hao Chen didn’t turn his head the whole time. He was oblivious to his surroundings; he didn’t look at incoming traffic and when a car honked at him, he didn’t listen.

Soon, Zhou Hao Chen deviated from the route to the subway station, turned into an uneven and slanted street, turned two corners and entered a small alley.

Needless to say, there was nothing good in this kind of alley. Bai Ruan knew his students well. He knew that even if he were to call out to Zhou Hao Chen now, he would be stubborn and not tell the truth. This would also prevent Bai Ruan from following him in the future. He might as well just follow through to see what was going on.

Bai Ruan tiptoed and leaned closer to the entrance of the alley, poking out half of his face and looking inside.

In the alley, a few people were surrounding Zhou Hao Chen, grinning cheekily.

If these people were to talk about their looks, they certainly had their own ugly ways. The only thing in common was that all of them had strange hair styles, hunched shoulders and wretched temperaments. Bai Ruan couldn’t help but think that the scene of them surrounding Zhou Hao Chen was like a few poor-looking hyenas rounding up a small antelope.
