Chapter 76 - The Dragon King's C.h.e.s.t (2)

His breath brushed up against the nape of my neck, and I felt a shiver crawl up my spine. I hadn't heard him move, then again I'm pretty sure that he could teleport. The way he moved around silently and quickly was too much for him to be doing it without a skills help.

But at the same time, I didn't have the time nor the patience to ask him. I knew that he'd dance around the topic since it interested me.

"Are you going to look at the last item since the annoyance have left?" He practically purred in my ear as he pointed towards the item that read [Skeletial Wings of a Dragon], but I decided that they could wait for later.

Waving a hand, I suck them into the ring, and a notification flashes in front of my face.

[Due to lack of Mana host wouldn't be able to use certain skills!]

I snorted and rolled my eyes, as I waved a hand through the notification in front of my face. It blurred as I swiped it away.

"I'll look at that another time, I think I'll spend some of the skill points that I gained from leveling up," I mutter as I wave a hand and the skill page appears before me.

All the basic skills have a glowing arrow next to the number and then there were glowing numbers at the point of the arrow.

[Basic Stats:

Intelligence (30 ~> 45)

Dexterity (32 ~> 41)

Luck (30 ~>40)

Mana (50 ~> 65) ]

I had a grand total of hundred and sixty-two skill points that I could allot into my stats. Drumming my fingers lightly on my leg, I try to think of what I wanted to do with all those points.

"Mistre-" I raised a finger to my lips and shot Envy a glare. He seemed to understand that because he pipped down and just pressed his face into my shoulder, and watched me with a careful eye.

I could deal with that as long as he would be quiet.

With the immense amount of points that I had to spend, I should be able to spread my points evenly. I could pour them all into one of the stats, but that would be dumb and a useless way to spend my points.

It would only get harder and harder to level up, it was the early game that would set you up for the latter half. I had to be smart.

Biting my lip, I glanced at the numbers. So far I'd been acting as a close range tanker or attacker, but that was ineffective considering the fact that I used summons to do most of my fighting. It looks like I was shaping up to becoming a long-range attacker.

Although most of the points should go into mana, it was safe to assume that I was consuming a large number of mana points with these my summons.

I'd raise my intelligence and mana stat to one hundred. Allocating the points, once I'd poured the right amount into the stats, I felt a rush of cool energy run over my body.

Ding!

[Player has reached a hundred in her mana, she's a hidden title 'Sorceress' reduces the usage of all skill's that require the player to use mana, by fifty percent.]

That was helpful, it completely halved the amount of mana that I needed to use and I had a hundred points of mana, I knew that there was something to gain if I raised a skill enough.

Would I get something for raising my Intelligence skill to one hundred as well? I waited but the sound of the notification didn't sound, so I gave up on that. Maybe, that one had a higher cap on when I'd gain something.

Looking at my skills, I still had seventy-two after raising both my stats. Should I pour the rest into the other basic stat skills or should I wait?

"Excuse me!" Wit's voice sounded and I looked down to find her standing on my screen with a smile on her face.

"Yes?" I ask her.

That wasn't a bad option, I could raise her level. She did have a good area of effect skill if there was blood. Which wasn't a bad asset to have, but did I want to do that with my remaining skill points.

Looking between my basic skills and then her, I was having trouble deciding but, it was only thirty-six points. I would still have thirty-six points left over that I could put into the rest of my skills. There was still strength, dexterity, and luck to worry about.

However, with the remaining points, I could raise them all to fifty.

I'd do that, I'd raise all my skills to fifty and then use the remaining points, to increase her rank to primitive two.

"Alright, let's raise you to rank two Wit," I tell her with a smile, and I watch the counter with my points drop down to thirty-six.

As the skill points dropped, her body began to glow in a bloody light. A cocoon of blood began to form around her body and it was a mixture of sanguine red and black tendrils. With that, it just began to glow in front of my screen.

Ding!

[Entered into hibernation, time till evolution five hours]

I nod my head, that wasn't too bad. Let's hope she gets even stronger.

Especially now that I had the wheel of fate, I needed all the luck in the world to not role a negative effect on an ally, or to use a booster on the enemy. I shudder just remembering the debuffs and buffs that were on the wheel. It was a one in four chance of wielding a buff.

Glancing down at my stats I smile to myself. Now everything was even.

[Basic Stats:

Intelligence (100)

Strength (50)

Dexterity (50)

Luck (50)

Mana (100)]

Fl.i.c.k.i.n.g a wrist I close the screen with the stats on it and look towards Envy. His eyes were half-lidded as he looked at me with evident l.u.s.t. I couldn't help but wonder if he really was the clown of Envy.

Raising a finger, I tap on the screen and pull up my unique skills.

Almost all of them were the same, except for Samurai Determination, it's mastery stat had gone up by a good margin.

[Samurai Determination: (5% ~> 12%)]

I really wanted this unique skill to upgrade all the way. It was a great buff skill.

After glancing at that I closed the skill window. There was nothing else to look at.

I wonder if it was time for the feast that the old man had mentioned. I was a little worried about when Locasta and Bavamorda would arrive. They should be here soon, I didn't want them to run into trouble trying to enter into the oasis.

"Get off me," I grumble to Envy. He was like glued to my body.

"No!" He says.

I couldn't help but sigh, as he kept himself attached to my body.

"Mistress, I hope that I'm not bothering you but the feast has been prepared," the sound of the Oldman's voice sounded from the other side of the door.
