After the meal, the whole of the village had descended into a party. Quite a few had tried to loop me into dancing with them. Both the men and the woman, however, I quickly turned them down.

Some were pushier than others and didn't want to take no for an answer. Envy dealt with them, without too much trouble.

He did have his uses sometimes.

The revelry of the night seemed like it would last long into the morning hours. I decided that I would slip away from the festivities. Without too much trouble, I headed away from the center of the village and walked towards the entrance.

I'd planned to head back to the surface and get out of this cave.

Lossing all form of communication with the Sisters, I thought that it might not be a bad idea to head up and wait for them. Because I had no idea when they would arrive at the oasis. It would be bad if they couldn't find me, or worse they got into a fight with the villagers.

Heading back through the cave that was lined and dotted in a myriad of colors, I found that Envy was pretty silent for the whole trip. It was odd, he wasn't one that normally was quite or gave me my space for a matter of fact.

It seemed like he'd been a little down since we'd arrived at the village. Maybe, he was upset with the way that I'd treated him, but I don't think it was much different than normal. But I suppose even clowns had feelings.

As I walked I waved a hand and checked out the timer for Wit's evolution. The timer had been counting down from five hours, it was almost finished she only had about five minutes left before she was finished.

It was exciting, I wanted to see what the evolution had in store for my dear little Wit. We passed through the mouth of the cave and headed back into the forested area of the oasis. Looking up at the sky the moon hung in a half crescent in the air. It illuminated some of the surroundings.

The night air of the desert was brisk and chilled. Looking around, I noticed that the vibrant forest was bathed in neon colors instead of the bright pastels in the day. Twisting my head, I saw some birds and other creatures moving in the oasis.

It looks like they'd finally decided to come out, walking away from the entrance, I decided that I would head back to the pond. Envy followed a little distance behind me, half dragging his feet as he shuffled behind me.

"Envy, what's wrong?" I asked him, twisting my head to look at him.

His emerald green eyes flashed up to meet mine. I felt my stomach do a flip as he looked at me. It was like I was being eyed up by a wild beast, there was something predatory about his look.

But just as quick as that smoldering look came to it be, it vanished. My heart that had begun to beat quickly, slowed and I s.u.c.k.e.d in a deep breath.

"Nothing, Mistress," he muttered as he downcasted his eyes to look at the ground.

I wanted to open my mouth and say something to him, but the ringing sound of a bell stopped me. At the same time, a notification quickly popped up in front of my face.

The notification changed into a video, a red flower appeared before me. It soon began to unravel in front of me, the petal that was a vibrant red began to wither and the red color began to bleed out of the petals pooling underneath of the flower.

In no time a pool had formed under the flower.

Soon more and more of the petals fell and withered revealing a mass of inky black hair. I could see some movement from within the mass of black hair, soon more and more white flesh appeared from the center of the black mass.

Without delay, I saw my Witch of Blood appear in front of me. The childish version of her that I was accustomed to had changed. The round and chubby features that I used to her having had morphed a bit and become sharper.

Her eyepatch was gone, but black blood oozed out of her eye. The black oozing material seemed to have a life of its own. It transformed from a liquid into a simple matte black eyepatch. It wasn't as ornate as the last one that she had before she evolved.

After the eyepatch had taken shape, she opened her eye, blinking a few times before she looked up at me. A huge smile bloomed onto her face as she began to push herself into a standing position.

All of her hair flowed around her. She shook her hair and all the red liquid that had pooled underneath of the withered flower petal's flowed upwards, wrapping itself around her body.

The red liquid quickly took shape and created a simple military uninformed, that was a deep black with a red undertone. A jacket, pants, boots and a hat appeared on top of her head. The withered flower petals quickly shrunk and shot up onto her uniform, creating a lotus flower symbol on the c.h.e.s.t.

"I've finished my evolution," she chirps as she gives me a deep bow.

I chuckled at her," How do you feel?"

She patted her c.h.e.s.t and her arms before she nodded her head.

Tapping the skill name, I opened the information page.

[1. Mix five different type of blood together and they'll be combined to create a new creature. When finished the creature will have a life span of one hour. Combined strong creatures' blood to make an even stronger creature.

2. Mix three types of blood together to create a onetime use booster, all boosters are random and change have either a negative or positive effect.]

A skill that had two features to it, that was defiantly a good skill. But it seems that I'm always tangoing with lady luck. These random effects were always interesting.

"Wit, do you know if you get a new skill every time that you're upgraded?" I ask her, fl.i.c.k.i.n.g the skill pages closed.

"I don't know, it's a possibility that I will. However, I don't know for sure. But the next time that you want to evolve me, it'll cost three hundred skill points," she says with a small shrug.

I almost bit my tongue. Three hundred points! Really, that was such a huge jump from the last upgrade cost. If it cost that much it had to be an important evolution.

"We'll no worries, we'll just wait till we get more skill points and see then," I tell her with a smile.

"Do you want to come on out?" I ask her.

She nods her head, and a deep red magical circle appears a couple of meters in front of me. Blood oozes from the ground and then took on the shape of Wit. Her uniform looked classier than when she was in 2D.

It made her seem very powerful, I was just glad she didn't get a rag with this new evolution.

Her hair dragged on the ground a bit, but she didn't seem to mind at all. With a small skip, she jumped towards me and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Did you miss me?" I chuckle as I hug her back.

"Of course, although, I dreamed about you the whole time I was asleep," she giggles as she rubs her face into my stomach.

I felt my heart melt at her words she was such a sweetheart.

"Where are we heading to?" She asks me after she pulls her head back and looks around.

"Just a little walk, I wanted to head up to the oasis, just in case the witch sister's show up. The last thing I wanted is for them to get lost or attacked by the villagers. Plus. I'm not really one for a party, I'll leave keeping the villagers' company up to Janus and Royal," I tell her with a shrug.

As we continued forward, the whole of the oasis was a luminous and glowing, the oasis came to life it seems after night fell. The closer I got towards the water, the more animals that began to appear in the forest.

All of the animals that appeared were made of bones, it seemed that none of them had flesh. But they all had some sort of plant life that was growing on their bones.

The forest was ghastly but at the same time, it was beautiful and mystical.

Soon we arrived at the lake, I found that in the water there were about ten hippos that were just floating. They were the same as the rest of the animals and had plant life that was growing on their bones. Underneath the surface of the water bright orbs of light flashed underneath the water, I could see clear fish darting through the water.

I sat down on the ground and Wit sat next to me. The whole area was peaceful, the sounds of animals and the faint sounds of splashing water.

The silence of the moment was broken by a loud thud.

I jerked my head around to see Envy laying face down on the ground.

"ENVY!" I half screamed as I crawled over to him. I felt my heart jump into action.

I pulled his body up and turned his face up. His eyes were rolled back and his mask was actually cracked. His body was slightly convulsing.

I pressed my arms into his shoulders, trying to hold him down. Blood was pouring out of his eyes and nose along with his mouth.

"Wit do you know what happening?" I asked her.

She knelt down next to Envy and placed a hand on his c.h.e.s.t.

At the same time, she did that, a bright light flashed from his c.h.e.s.t. Which knocked my body back, I slammed into the surface of the water and felt like the wind had been knocked out of me.

It hurt, water began to pour into my nose and into my mouth.

I needed to get back up to the surface of the water.

But I couldn't move my arms, I felt like I'd been hit by a truck.

My eye fluttered as more and more water poured down my throat.

It seemed like drowning was what was going to kill me! How anti-climatic.

But a hand wrapped around my wrist and I felt my body get jerked upwards, soon we broke through the surface of the water. I got hauled up onto the ground, someone quickly began to press my c.h.e.s.t.

Then I felt warm lip press into my mouth and blow air in.

This happened a few more times before I heaved up the water, some wrapped an arm around my neck and tilted me up so that I could puke the water up.

After I could breathe, I felt my vision get better.

Blinking a few times, I noticed that a person with long red hair was holding me. They had a mask that covered the upper part of their face. Ruby red eyes looked back at me. They were also dripping wet.

"Mistress," the new man with ruby red eyes breathed out as he pressed his lips into my hand.
