73 Chapter 73 Excited

The door opened the Max walked in, he carried his helmet along with two packages containing food for Alex and Gabriel.

Rebecca stood up from her chair to help him with the food, she gave it to Gabriel and Alex with a smile on her face and sat down on the chair as she waited for them.

"I know you don't want to join in but this is really tasty," Gabriel said as he ate the food Max brought.

"Thanks, so Max do you know much about the game, I just started so I don't know much," Rebecca said.

"Yes, I know a lot, do you have something to ask me... before you ask, yesterday when you logged out, did you notice anything strange?" Max asked.

"Strange...like what?"

"You know, when we found you, a madman was having his way with you" Max whispered and faced away.

"About that...I also want to ask, was the sex real?" Rebecca asked with an eager face.

"You can't say that in front of a kid," Alex spoke with a smirk.

"Ohh... I'm very sorry, I didn't know you were underage" Rebecca apologized with a sincere face.

"Huh! I'm not a kid, and I know about sex, I have a girlfriend by the way" Max shouted.

"Hey it's okay you don't need to shout, it's not bad to be underage, in a few more years you are going to learn about sex" Gabriel laughed as he spoke.

*Cough*

"Max water...water" Gabriel called as the spice in the food affected him, Max was sitting close to the kitchen where Alex's bottled waters were kept.

"That's the effect of lying," Max said as he handed Gabriel a bottle and Gabriel quickly gulped it down.

"I'm an adult and I'm going to be done with high school this year, I'm a senior" Max said.

"Ohh and Rebecca, the sex wasn't real, the game made it so, the helmet connects with your nerve network and your brain" Max explained.

"Good, I thought I lost my virginity" Rebecca smiled, and Alex and Gabriel turned towards her while Max's eyes opened widely.

"Is something wrong?" she asked.

"No nothing, we're just a little surprised, you are in college and you are still a...you know..."

"To tell the truth, I'm afraid that's while I didn't try it all this while, but in the game it was nice, I don't know if it would be the same in the real world," Rebecca said.

"She is really open don't you think?" Gabriel whispered to Alex.

"I'm sure she doesn't know, she is the only daughter of very rich parents and she has only one friend who is a girl, so they probably talk about stuff like this" Alex whispered back.

"But she's in a room with three boys, isn't she supposed to keep stuff like this to herself"

"She doesn't know she's not supposed to discuss this in front of boys, but we are good boys so we'll let it slide"

"I'll use it to my advantage, she wouldn't be able to hide anything from me" Gabriel smiled.

"So Max, tell me about the game, what are you guys working towards, what is your goal?" Rebecca asked.

"We're aiming to be among the top players," Max said.

"Only, is there a villain or an antagonist that would try to enslave the world that the heroes would try to stop?"

"You think you are watching a movie or reading a light novel, this isn't anything like that, but there must be someone like that in the game," Max said.

"If there isn't someone like that, wouldn't the game be aimless, there is supposed to be someone to defeat then you end the game," Rebecca said.

"This isn't like the game you know, even if there isn't anyone or anything like that, the game is still interesting, more updates would keep coming and the game would continue to be interesting," Alex said.

"I'm sure there is someone like that, you know we haven't really travelled anywhere, when I was checking the map we were in the Bronze continent and they are still two continents in the game," Gabriel said.

"The Silver continent and the Gold continent, the Bronze continent is where all the low-level players are, the other continents have more challenging quests and beasts but to go there is the problem," Max said.

"How is that a problem?" Alex asked.

"The continents are separated by large seas and oceans, so to get there you need a large boat and there is only one city that owns a port in the Bronze continent" Max spoke.

"So we just need to get there and pay for a ride, right?" Gabriel asked.

"I don't really know but I know it won't be easy because the city is run by pirates"

"So we'll need to travel to another continent, this game is really something else, then we should go there next," Rebecca said.

"Not so fast, we are going to encounter a lot of resistance on the way so we'll need to be prepared, and we need to visit other cities and villages in the bronze continent first to make sure we don't miss anything" Alex spoke.

"You guys are done right, we should enter the game," Rebecca said, a huge smile was on her face as she was excited.

"You seem more excited about this than us, the game isn't that friendly you know, you would need to train and level up quickly, you got lucky last time because we stumbled upon a skeleton army, next time it might be wolves," Alex said to Rebecca.

"I'm not afraid, you guys would be there right, I'm just excited about the adventure, I've always dreamed of an adventure like this," Rebecca said.

"You have dreamed of an adventure where you kill beasts and other players to level up?" Max asked.

"No, but it's the same thing, as long as we get to travel and see new places"

"Okay, we're logging back in, then we'll collect the money for the plants and use it to upgrade then we leave the city, right?" Alex asked to see if everyone agrees.

"Yes, I can't wait to leave the city, I need to get more offensive spells to use in battles," Gabriel said as he held his helmet.

"I can't get used to this..." Alex mumbled as his body appeared out of thin air and formed in the forest.

Next to him, Gabriel appeared and then Max followed, the three of them waited for some seconds but still, Rebecca didn't log in.

"Is something wrong?" Gabriel asked.

"Maybe she doesn't know how to use the helmet or how to log in," Max said.

"I'm coming back, I forgot to tell her the wifi password" Alex smiled as his body disintegrated again.

"All the plants are gone, this place looks barren," Gabriel said as he looked around.

"The plants only appear at night, so the skeletons can be able to attack, I don't think low-level players can survive this quest" Max spoke.

"You know Alex was going to come here on his own, he would have died a tragic death" Gabriel laughed as he thought about how Alex would die.

Alex and Rebecca appeared close to the large tree and saw Max and Gabriel laughing, Alex didn't ask as he already knew it must be about him because Gabriel increased his laughter as he saw him.

"We should keep moving, and keep an eye out in case of other players," Alex said as they walked back.

In a certain village in Nova Online, the sounds of cries and screams were deafening as soldiers rode on horses killing anyone in their sight, two cities were at war and one of the cities attacked a village under its rival command.

A certain figure ran through the forest at an amazing pace, the sounds of cries and screams were getting louder as he close in on the village.

The figure wore a black coat that reached only his knee, as he ran at full speed, the wind blew past him and raised his coat a little and two short flintlock pistols were revealed on his waist.

The figure came to a stop as he was meters away from the village being invaded, he took a deep breath and smiled brightly.

"This is a good place to obtain XP" the figure spoke and quickly removed his dual flintlock from the holster on his waist, on top of the figure's head a small blue screen was hovering.
