83 Chapter 83 Paladin vs Paladin

"They would do as I say, and I'm sure they would be happy, because they would be able to beat you guys during the training" Rebecca smiled.

"Then it's settled, though I'm a little afraid but this is all so we can become top players, ohh it looks like GoodGuy won" Max whispered as he looked at the battle.

"Even though you are a knight with dexterity, I'm a paladin with defense, we are a bad match up" GoodGuy spoke.

The player in front of the group was a paladin named GoodGuy, and he just defeated a knight, he was currently at level 8 and he was wielding a fairly powerful sword.

"Don't worry, I'll defeat him" Max said and walked forward.

The player turned around immediately he heard a sound and saw Max coming out of the bushes with a sword in his hand.

"It seems you are itching to be killed just like the guy I just killed" GoodGuy spoke.

"I happened to watch the battle between you two and I must say, you are pretty skilled but how is your HP holding up, I'm sure two more slashes would be the end for you" Max smirked as he spoke and he wasn't wrong.

The knight he faced knew his way around sword and wielded an ordinary dual sword but he still managed to reduce the HP of the paladin.

"Would it please you to know that my agility is probably higher than yours so I can run back to the city before you catch me" GoodGuy smiled.

"I don't know about that, maybe someone might be waiting to ambush you the moment you turn around to run, we don't know for sure" Max spoke and had a silly facial expressions that make the player turn around to look.

Immediately Max dashed towards him, the player immediately turned around but Max already swung his sword and the player immediately jumped backwards and barely avoided Max's attack.

The player wasn't lying about his agility, he was faster than Max, Max spent his skill points to increase his defense and his strength, though he didn't neglect other area, his defense and strength were his highest stats.

"Trickery, you think you can trick me into believing you are not alone, you can't defeat me in a one on one battle and besides I have more experience fighting than you can ever have" the player spoke with confidence.

"Don't worry about experience, I would use each fight as a spring board towards becoming one of the top players including this fight"

"You wouldn't survive this fight and you aren't the only one aiming to be among the top ten, everyone in the game is aiming to be among them" the player said.

"Alex, Isn't this taking too much time, that player is a really talker" Gabriel whispered.

"Except he isn't, he is trying to buy time so his HP would be full before attacking Max so he wouldn't worry about dying" Alex said.

"Then shouldn't we stop him?" Rebecca asked.

"He's in the zone, stopping him would make him angry, if he's losing the fight then we can help but till then, we stay out of it and enjoy the show" Alex said and made himself comfortable on the ground.

"It would definitely be boring, just swords clanging around" Gabriel snorted.

"Then keep watch, we don't want someone stabbing us from behind" Alex sneered.

"Hey Rebecca, we haven't gotten the chance to talk properly, feel me about yourself" Gabriel said to her.

"Uhmm...I don't know where I should start from, uhmmm..."

'Only a minute left and my HP would be back to normal, the I can kill this idiot in front of me'

Max also wasn't attacking, since he was waiting for his HP to be back to normal, that's means he wasn't going to escape. Max wanted this to be a real fighting experience for him and he knew he had backup in case he was losing so he chose to play along.

"You really are a fool" GoodGuy smiled mischievously.

"I know you were waiting for you HP so I'm not a fool, I also told you I'm gaining experience and this fight isn't going to be any different" Max spoke and the player in front of him could only get angry.

"You bastard" the player shouted and Launched an attack as soon as his HP was fully healed.

The player was quick on his feet and quickly swung his sword but Max was already anticipating his attack so he quickly raised his sword to block he attack.

*Clang!*

Both of their swords clashed and both of them stood their ground, the player was trying to overpower Max but Max was bulging, both of them were paladin so they strength was supposed to be the same but Max was stronger than the player.

Both of them struggled but Max overpowered the player and pushed him backwards, the player staggered backwards but quickly regained his composure.

Max was quick to attack but the player sidestepped to the right and Max was wide open.

*Slash*

[-15HP]

The player's sword cut right through Max's stomach and he felt a sharp pain, the pain was gone in a second and he quickly block the second attack from the player, the player jumped backwards and created some distance between them.

"You can't beat me, you should know that by now" GoodGuy spoke.

"You really think I can't beat you, the battle isn't over yet, it's just one attack" Max responded.

"You are foolish for not attacking me when you had the chance, if I was the one your dead body would be long gone by now"

"Don't worry, you can't really kill me in case you don't know, I'm just using this to learn, if I can't defeat you then I'll just retreat" Max spoke with confidence.

"It seems you are still under a delusion, I'm going to make it clear to you that you and I are very different"
