I was up at the first strike of four. It must be my body's alarm clock. It was still dark, and I wanted to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. Not with the constant reminder of the system that flashed on my face.
I whisked it away.

No way was I going to do that. Luke was sleeping just a meter in front of me while there wasn't enough space on the bed for me to fit.

. . .

. . .

Or was there?

Someone whispered in my head, and my eyes flung open.

Who was that?
*thump!

My heart thumped so loud I was afraid the others might heard it.

I didn't want to do it.

God knew how I didn't.

But the moment that space appeared in my eyes, it was like I was consumed with all these evil thoughts to just go with it. It opened a path of possibilities that only appeared once in a lifetime!

I might never have this chance again. Even though Soarsie and I were a couple, we never shared a bed.

Heck! The far thing that we have ever gone was a smack on the lips.
Besides that, the 5000 EXP points I'd get with just a second of lying in that tiny gap was enough to catapult my ATP to another level!
There were so many advantages that I didn't even consider the disadvantage.

Now that an opportunity appeared right before my eyes, I couldn't think clearly anymore and just wanted to grab it.
Oh, the hell with it! If they wake up, I'll just say I sleepwalk!
I went to my toes and held my shaking breath as I took my first crawl into the mattress. It was cold, but sweat coated my face and dropped onto the bed at every baby step that I made.
"Ehm . . ."

I froze, and my heart almost leaped out from my mouth when Jane moaned while Soarsie moved in her sleep.

No! The tiny gap! I screamed in my head when she was about to change position.

Luckily, Soarsie stopped on her side again. But this time, she was facing me.

Guilt and shame overcame me at the sight of her innocent sleeping face, and I wanted to back away and abandon this God-given opportunity.
I'd have another chance next time.
This is not the end.
Fuck! Who am I kidding?!

I laid on my side just in time that the timer counted to zero.
. . .

. . .

I didn't dare breathe nor make a tiny bit of noise. My raggedy heart was thumping so loud it hurt my ears and ribs.

But soon, I found my calm with Soarsie's sleeping face. Her breath on my skin made me feel at peace, and I thought I would give this world to her if she could remain smiling like this.

She was charming and nice . . . in fact too nice that I wondered what she sees in me.

I was hit by that familiar sadness again, and I shook it off.Yes! I balled my fist and shouted in my head.

However, my slight movement and the sound of my breath out of my nose cause Soarsie's eyelids to slowly open.

In my panic and haste to get away, I distributed all my EXP to AGL.‖ S K I L L S & S P E L L S ‖

I activated the skill, and within a blink, I was back in my lotus position on the floor, pretending I was asleep.

Soarsie sat on the bed and rubbed her eyes. A little dizzy and unsteady, she focused her squinty eyes around. When she noticed that nothing was strange, she lay on the bed and cloaked herself with the blanket.

Whew. That was close! Too close for comfort!

What would she think if she found out that I snuck on the bed?
". . ."

I don't need your opinion.

I checked my ATP.
