My Ex Is My Bestfriend

Chapter 64 - LET'S GO HOME

"What do you mean?"

And there was a crash and some shouting. Oh my god. What's happening?

"Hello? Ethan? Ethan! Are you alright?"

"Uh Ma'am.."

Why is it the person from before? " Where's Ethan?"

"Uh he just passed out Ma'am. Could you get him here? I know you're friends."

Ugh. I hate this, but it's all against my conscience to leave him there.

"Okay, but could you send a cab or some car here? I'm afraid to wait outside."

"Yes, we have a car Ma'am. Where are we sending it?"

I gave them the building next to Minho's apartment building, just some precautions.

"Okay we'll go over there right away. Our driver would just call you if he'd arrive."

"What's his name and your establishment? And your car?" Because what if that guy isn't the guy they sent? Precautions, again.

"His name is Bobby dela Cruz. And we're the Luxury Bar. He'll be taking a black Toyota Vios."

Oh, the Luxury Bar. No wonder they have a car. "Okay, just notify me. Thanks."

"Yes. Thank you too Ma'am."

I immediately changed clothes, appropriate for the cold outside. I also brought my apartment keys in case Ethan forgot it, and some cash.

I went down the building and walked to the next building, where a cafe is still open. As I waited for the call from the Bobby guy, I ordered some coffee. This time of the night is too cold, and I've got lower tolerance from the cold. Oh these moments I wished to be in that cabin, the heat from the fireplace and Minho would drive all the cold away. Sigh~ I'd just settle it with this hot coffee.

I choked on the coffee. Oh shit Minho. Should I tell him about this? But he'd be mad. But if I don't tell him, he won't know so there'll be no problems. But what if someone else tells him about tonight? He would get even madder. Shit shit shit. What to do?

Okay, I'd give him a call. If he ever gets mad, I'll face the consequences. Whew. Okay, let's do this.

I dialed Minho's number and waited for him to pick up. It started ringing, and kept ringing until it stopped. Okay, I'll try again. Still no answer. Okay maybe he's sleeping. Last one.

But before I could dial for the third time, an unknown number beat me to it. Hmmm, this might be Bobby.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Is this Miss Cassidy. This is Bobby from Luxury Bar. I'm parked outside the building now Ma'am."

Hmmm he's got an accent. Spanish maybe? "Okay, I'll go out. Where are you parked exactly?"

"In front of Cafe de Chino Ma'am." Huh good. He knows where I should be.

I got out and noticed the car. I approached the driver's side and knocked on the window. As it rolled down, I immediately asked, "Who are you?"

He broke into a sweet smile. God so handsome. Why are there so many handsome people in the world? "Bobby dela Cruz Ma'am. You are?"

"Cassidy Johnson."

"Oh. Please step back Ma'am."

I looked at him confusingly but still stepped back. He smiled and got down from the car. " This way Ma'am." And he opened the door at the back. I smirked. Huh, what a gentleman. But I guess he's been doing these things as a driver.

And so I sat at the back, feeling like a queen with her chauffeur. Well, this could be a nice life.

"Please buckle your seat belt Ma'am." I did as he told and off we went.

The car ride was a bit awkward. I wanted to talk to him, but I feel I might just embarrass myself. So I stayed quiet and fiddled on my coat. He didn't talk too, so maybe this is normal for him.

We arrived rather quickly. And I noticed it's just near from Minho's, just some three blocks away. Hmmm I guess he likes to party. Hahaha.

After parking, Bobby offered to open my side of the door, but I moved swiftly to open it first. I don't want to feel a queen anymore.

I winked at him and mouthed a thank you. He smiled back.

As I entered, a stout man welcomed me. "Miss Cassidy, I'm Jason Rivera, the owner here."

"I'm sorry for the trouble brought by my friend."

"Yeah, it's a shame he was left here alone." We walked towards the inside. "All our customers here go by group and go home as a group. I'm glad he has a friend to help him."

Yeah, I caused that leaving him alone part. I observed the place. Nothing has changed since the last time I came here, when Minho and I first met. I got drunk here, and thank God Minho was such an angel. And he is still now. Oh I miss him, and I'm feeling so so guilty.

We arrived at the seat occupied by Ethan, who is now sprawled under the table. What a mess. And then I thought of a problem. How am I supposed to bring him home? He is heavy and I don't have a car to begin with.

I scratched my head, seemingly oblivious that Jason noticed my action and got the gist.

"Miss Cass. Don't worry, Bobby would accompany you until the both of you get home safely."

I looked at him bewildered. "That is too much sir!"

"No, it's alright. I just remembered this similar circ.u.mstance with my wife before. It's the least I can do to help you both."

I swallowed. I believe he thinks that Ethan and I are an item. Pssshh, but too much explanation so let's just go with it.

"Then thank you sir. Thank you."

"No problem. Now go and tend him."

I slightly bowed and ran towards the lying Ethan. I shook his shoulder. "Ethan! Ethan!"

No movement. Is he that drunk? I tried again. "Ethan! Ethan!"

Finally, he moved! His hand slowly raised up, his eyes fluttered. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Who- who.."

"Ethan, it's me Cassidy. What happened to you?"

"Ca-Cassidy?"

"Uh-huh. Could you get up? I'll take you home."

"Take me home?" He looked at me confusingly, sadly. "Home?"

"Yes. My apartment. It's where you live now."

He laughed sadly. "But it doesn't feel like home."

I was silenced. I didn't know what to say. I have found my home, but Ethan...

"Can you stand?" I chose to ignore that, for now. My priority is to get him home, so as not to disturb the bar's staff.

He tried standing but I think he's a little dizzy. So I held his hand and shoulder and guided him to stand. Bobby immediately came to my rescue to bring him to the car.

As soon as we sat at the back and the engine started, Ethan looked me in the eye and spoke, "Cassidy, let's go home."
