It was only early on in the morning, did Madam Sheng give birth. That whole time, Lady Liu had been kneeling and Xiao Jun had stayed by Madam Sheng's side, wiping her sweat and keeping her company.

Luckily, both mother and child were safe.

"Thank you.. Xiao Jun..Thank you so much." Madam Sheng smiled weakly, the little baby was asleep next to Madam Sheng's side. It was a relief that the child was born safely despite being born early.

"Don't worry too much, focus on your child and recuperating. I'll take care of outside for you." Xiao Jun smiled, Madam Sheng nodded and Xiao Jun only left after Madam Sheng had fallen asleep.

"Ying, stay and watch over Madam Sheng and her child while I go out with Mama Chu to handle some matters."

Ying curtsied and nodded.

Outside, Lady Liu cursed at Xiao Jun and glared at her. "You wench!"

"Wench? Who's the wench? Look at yourself!" Yue exclaimed, just as she was about to go forward and slap her, she heard a loud voice announce, "Imperial Edict from the His Highness the Emperor!"

"Lady Liu! You were bestowed to Commander Lin as a concubine for you were deemed a good fit. But last night, you have crossed the lines of a concubine and tried to harm the main wife and the child. For your actions, Madam Sheng could've lost her life. By the Imperial Edict, your marriage to the Commander shall be terminated and you will be thrown into the Imperial Prison!" the eunuch announced.

Lady Liu's eyes widened and she exclaimed, "This can't be! My aunt is an Imperial Concubine! The Emperor is my uncle!"

The eunuch laughed, "Uncle? Only those born to an Imperial Prince and Princess, the direct siblings of the Emperor, can call his highness as uncle! You, a mere noblewomen, aren't related in anyway to the Emperor even if your aunt has become his Imperial Concubine! Men, take her away!"

Two strong men came forward and with the strong mamas no longer restricting Lady Liu, she turned and charged towards Xiao Jun, managing to hurt her with her hairpin, cutting her cheek and making it bleed as she was then grabbed by the two men.

"Madam Feng! You dare!" Mama Chu went forward and slapped Lady Liu a couple times before she was taken away while laughing hysterically.

Raising a hand to touch her face, Xiao Jun felt blood and she glared in the direction of Lady Liu.

'I may not care about my face but now, others may gossip and this news might spread to Yun Long..'

Around her, everyone was frantic and Xiao Jun just stood up from having fallen, a protective hand over her abdomen. Others may not have noticed, but Yue hand noticed and knew her concern.

Quickly going inside, Mama Chu told the maids to bring a basin of water and Madam Sheng had woken up to hearing the yelling of worried maids.

"What's- your face!" Madam Sheng pushed herself to a sitting position and looked at Xiao Jun with a worried look, "What happened? How did you get hurt?"

"It was that wench, she dared to attack Madam Feng after hearing that she was going to the Imperial Prison." Mama Chu frowned, Yue tended to Xiao Jun's cheek and Ying looked at her Madam.

"It's alright. Make sure this doesn't get out to the public. Tell all the servants that were present to keep their mouths shut." Xiao Jun simply said, a smart mama to the side nodded and left to inform the other servants.
