"Nii-sama!"

"Hm?"

"Nnn~"

Hanako and I were awoken by Mio's shouting in the morning. At first, knowing Mio, I thought that it would be something utterly pointless and was about to go to sleep, however...

"Is that..."

"Yuuji... Is that an illusion...?"

Over the surface of the sea, a yacht slightly larger than the one Hanako and I came on is coming towards us. Although it does not have a beautiful frame nor does it have the majestic feeling of the king of the sea, to us it is the most beautiful thing in the world...

"Oi! We're here!!!"

I ran towards the beach at full speed.

Finally... we're finally going home...

************

Surprisingly (or not), the person who came to pick us up was Haruto. Apparently, Mio sent our coordinates to Erika beforehand and told her if something happened, they should be able to find her on the island immediately. Ma~ At least my sister still has some intellect, I guess...

"Yo, Yuuji."

Haruto gave me a bottle of orange juice as I gazed at the island. Even though it was tough living on the island, it still gave me some pleasant memories. Initially, I thought that I wouldn't even miss the island at all when I leave it, however, once I really got to leave the island, my mind started to gradually change. Now, I'm even missing the life on the island a little. Sigh... I guess I shouldn't soften my resolution, huh?

"Nee~ Haruto."

"Hm?"

"Why do you think I miss the island?"

"..."

"Well, I guess that you must have made some good memories back there, right?"

"I suppose..."

"That's the reason. You don't need to overthink it."

"Hah..."

I guess what I initially thought was correct, huh?

As I was having those idle thoughts, I walked back into the cabin. There, I saw Hanako gazing back at the island in silence.

"Nee, Hanako..."

"Mm? What is it, Yuuji?"

"Do you..."

"Do you miss our life on the island?"

Hanako fiddled her finger and then gave me a rather ambiguous reply,

"A little, I guess..."

"Do you think we'll have the chance to go back there again?"

I asked her with all the seriousness I could. Even though life on the island was pretty tough, the peace and tranquilness I had with Hanako were extremely precious.

"I don't know, Yuuji..."

"..."

I kept silent. I don't know what to say in this situation, therefore, I chose to just look back and appreciate the time I had with her.

"I don't know... but I'm sure that wherever we are, as long as we're together, we can call that place home, right?"

"I guess you're right, Hanako."

I put my hand on top of hers and stared back at the island, which is now just a tiny dot from our sight...
