"Ziwei...what happened to your head?"

"Are you hurt anywhere else?" the old woman searched all through the young lady's body and her gaze stopped on the bandage around one of the ankles of Ziwei.

Yifeng least wanted the scene of his mother knowing about Ziwei's condition to happen. But Rushi found about her right infront his eyes.

"Oho dear...you hurt your ankle too" Rushi's heart shook in grief.

"Where were you roaming to leave her alone, and for her to get hurt like this?" Rushi picked on Yifeng.

"Mom..." Yifeng's voice trembled.

He gazed at Ziwei with a look on his face that indicated he'd be thankful to her his whole life if she saves him from his mother.

On seeing his expression, a sleeping devil in Ziwei woke up. But to avoid future complications, she controlled her erupting emotions.

"Mother....Its not his fault" Ziwei slowly moved her head towards Rushi.

*whispers*

Her words sounded too low for Yifeng to understand. He couldn't guess what from her mouth would lower his mom's anger.

As she heard to Ziwei's mumbling, Rushi's face turned pale and with her cheeks becoming red.

Seeing his mother to blush, Yifeng's heart stumbled and he wore a stunned expression on his face. He turned his gaze onto Ziwei and she in return closed her eyes assuring him that the problem got solved.

But he didn't get what nonsense this little monkey muttered for that oldie to blush.

Rushi cleared her throat and walked into the living room away from Yifeng and Ziwei.

*Sighs*

"Mom.., what brought you here without any prior notice?" Yifeng asked his mother staring at her back.

He cursed his brother in heart for leaking the news.

Rushi glared "Should I get your permission to see my daughter in law?"

Yifeng fell dumbfounded on hearing his mother. He knew how much his mother got attached to Ziwei. He was always worried about her reaction if she knows about their act.

"I just wanted to take her to shopping. Its bad that she's hurt like hell. By the way, will you stay home atleast at times when she's sick or will you escape like everytime" Rushi snorted.

Yifeng relaxed and cursed himself for doubting his brother.

After a second, Rushi continued "Yifeng.. I know you always felt uncomfortable and ran away every single time I come here. But after what Ziwei said, I think I should just live here permanently" which left Ziwei's face with a smirk in rejoice and Yifeng in confusion.

With a thought in mind :what this cunning fox said for that old woman to act abnormal?' Yifeng lifted Ziwei from the floor, sweeping her feet off the ground.

On feeling his touch Ziwei rolled her eyes asking him to drop her down but Yifeng shook his head saying her to stay calm. He just wanted to show his mother that he truly cares about her daughter in law.

But only Ziwei know what his mother would think of him if he does such kind of things infront of her.

He walked with her in his arms towards the sofa and made her to sit next to his mother. Rushi cleared her throat "Ahemm.." on seeing Yifeng and Ziwei.

Yifeng cleaned the dining table, washed the dishes, made a plateful of fruits for his mother and Ziwei to eat while chatting. His mother felt happy and satisfied to see her son as a lovely husband material.

Time passed just like air and the skies soon turned darker. Yifeng with working hard at home for the first time got tired and slept until the sky turned black.

Yifeng woke up when he subconsciously sensed familiar smells. He walked down into living room and on noticing him his mother called him to have dinner. Rushi set the table with very few dishes unlike the times of a cook setting the table.

All the three got seated at the table. Both Yifeng and Ziwei picked the chopsticks and started munching onto small portions of each dish before getting immersed themselves in eating.

The old lady stared at them happily while they both enjoyed eating the food.

Only after Ziwei ate her stomachful, noticed that the old woman had no appetite.

"Mother...Is the food not to your liking..?"

Rushi always thought that her son hates to tire his wife and hence makes a cook to prepare a special feast for her.

But this time, with Yifeng sleeping sound.. Ziwei even after getting hurt didn't drop down her spirits and fought with Rushi saying she would cook.

Rushi at the end lost to her lovely daughter in law's sweet talk. Its her first time to see Ziwei in the kitchen. The food Ziwei prepared was simple and on seeing Yifeng enjoying the food, Rushi really hated him for not letting her to taste Ziwei's food in the past.

"Just wondering when you learned to cook?"

Though the food tasted good, Yifeng just continued to fill his stomach as he never expected them to be cooked by Ziwei. But after knowing that it was her to cook, he was instantly impressed as they tasted perfect to his tongue.

"Ahh...These few are what all I learned to cook because I love to eat them" Ziwei's eyes brightened as she spoke in excitement while Yifeng's throat choked up, spitting the contents in his mouth out.

Ziwei picked tissues and helped him in cleaning himself and thought that he was mocking her for saying those simple dishes as what all she learned to cook in her whole lifetime.

Rushi laughed on seeing him and said "Is this why everytime you order a chef to prepare a feast for me because your wife doesn't know much to cook?"

Yifeng totally neglected her teasing and hurried into his study room leaving both the ladies at the dining table in amus.e.m.e.nt.

He searched in his room for a while to find a old tin box. He slowly picked a small piece of paper to see the names of the dishes he ate before. That paper was what made him to love those simple recipes. He c.a.r.e.s.sed the doodle girl at the bottom of the paper with longing in his eyes.

He fell in daze and only after hearing his mobile's ringtone, he came back to senses. "Boss..." his assistant's voice.

A brief moment of silence passed before he heard "Details of Miss Yi..." Wu Chun's trembling voice.

"Enn..You found them?" Yifeng questioned in a cold tone. That cold tone made Wu Chun to shiver and he stuttered "ye....yes Boss. I'll bring them... ".

"Now... bring them right now" Yifeng screamed before ending the call.
