Yifeng's POV-

Yifeng strongly determined to act like a gentleman and decided to give up on his love.

To keep Ziwei happy and

To make her smile.

He sent her away with the person she loves.

He sacrificed his love.

His decision this time was really a big deal.

He acted cold and without paying attention to her, he sent her away with Wu Chun instead of him driving to the airport.

He thought he could tolerate the pain.

But at the end he failed.

He regretted his own decisions for the first time in his life.

Seeing his mother in the morning, he wanted to burst out emotions and cry holding her.

After all a mother is a mother.

Every person in this world finds their mother's l.a.p more safe and comfy.

Only a mother can console your broken heart.

Other than his family, it was Wu Chun to stay by his side all the time. His assistant was the one who helped him in doing even the toughest jobs.

He already asked Wu Chun to help him in sending Ziwei to the airport.

Again, he could not order to assist him in bringing her back.

Yifeng could not admit his regrets, but he knew his heart can't afford to live alone without her.

'I don't care about her past, about her previous affairs. All I want is her to stay by my side' he thought to himself.

He also denied the facts of Ziwei loving a man other than him.

Without knowing the truth, It was him to foolishly believe Steve's words.

It was him to get manipulated like a fool.

It was him to finalise Ziwei's response to her broken mobile was due to her love and affection towards Steve.

Now after realising his own heart, he hated the truth of Ziwei loving Steve.

He hated himself for acting clumsy.

For sending her away like an incapable person.

He wanted to rush and hug her.

He wanted to say her those words 'I Love You'

He soon picked his mobile and on his own booked a ticket to the earliest flight to Hong Kong.

His flight was timed to fly just in a few hours.

He wanted to calm and divert his struggling heart and brain before flying to her and dealing with her.

He started to smoke.

He smoked and smoked like a chain smoker.

Like an addict.

He almost finished the whole stock of cigarettes he had in his room.

He doesn't know when Gengxin entered the house, but he noticed his little brother in his room.

He understood the reason behind Gengxin coming to him after hearing him say

"Why did you send her away?"

He thought Gengxin was talking about him sending Ziwei to the tour.

He thought it was his mom to deliver the news.

But he never expected his own assistant would stab him from back.

He knew he can't live without her.

All through his life, he stayed away from women because he can't make space for others in his heart.

His heart was for only one, its the teenage girl trainee he loved for ten years.

It's Susan.

It's the woman with whom he made a marriage contract.

His heart can accommodate only her.

Only Ziwei.

Trying not to agitate his mind and heart, he asked Gengxin to drive him to airport.

He indirectly admitted his defeat.

He took a shower and got dressed in his regular formal outfit.

He got into the car and checked his mobile as Gengxin kept all his concentration on the steering wheel and on the road ahead.

He searched his call logs and his message box.

No trace of her.

All the calls and messages were from Gengxin and Wu chun.

Scrolling through the message list, he read

'Boss.. We reached the airport safe'

'She's trying to stop herself from crying but she's agonised like crazy. Should you really be acting like this'

'She already got into her flight. She'll reach the destination soon'

Gengxin's POV-

He was already stuck in his own schedule of surgeries and check ups.

When he was scrubbing his hands to get into the Operation theater, he heard the screams.

'Gengxin....'

He thought he was daydreaming. But the intensity of the sound increased.

Not all can enter the areas near the Operation theatre.

But like a professional race horse, Wu Chun jumped all the hurdles and reached Gengxin.

Gengxin saw Wu Chun gasping for air.

He understood something was wrong for him to rush like that.

Only after hearing his friend, Gengxin got an idea about the situation.

"Gengxin... I know I shouldn't be backstabbing my boss but I have to say you this matter. Your...Your brother sent her away. He ended the contract also. He was acting cold and Ziwei's in pain. Do you know anything?"

"Where's Ziwei now?"

"Just a few minutes ago I saw her get into her flight"

"To Where?"

"Hong Kong -----"

"Got ya..." Before completely listening to Wu Chun, Gengxin ran out.

Leaving his jobs to a substitute doctor, Gengxin rushed to Ai Villa.

He tried calling his brother. But he received no reply.

He rang the door bell. But no one attended the door.

From the report of Wu Chun, he understood his brother's alone in the villa.

He tried to unlock the door.

He tried all the numbers he could use.

He tried the birth dates of all the people close to his brother.

He even tried the numbers of Ziwei's birthday.

But no use... As a last attempt he entered the numbers 2,9,0,5.

To his surprise, the door was unlocked.

He sighed as he found his brother dumb for creating such a stupid pass code.

He found it stupid because he knew the story behind those numbers.

Because he knew those numbers represent the date of that day on which Yifeng saw Susan for the first time.
