My New Isekai!

Chapter 33 - Prologue

I finally made it back to Kazuma's house. He was - not surprisingly - sitting down under a kotatsu. (A kotatsu is a table with a bed cloth over it with a heater under the two things.)

I walked inside, moving my arm at the door to make sure not hit it against anything. Then, walked over to Kazuma to tell him about my discovery.

"Kazuma," I said, "I met an old friend from Japan. She says that she knows a person who can fix my arm quicker."

"Oh, that's nice…. Wait, did you say from Japan," Kazuma asked. This expression was look of pure confusion.

"Yeah…?" This was confusing, was it not common for friends to come to the same world?

"Haru, are you sure you're not getting baited? The possibility of you meeting an old friend from here is really unlikely."

"What do you mean?"

"Haru, there are multiple versions of this world, some with the old Demon King still there. She could've been transported too. How long ago was this person transported to this world?"

"About five years ago," I said answering his question.

"Five years ago? There was no Demon King!!!"

"I know, I know," I said. "But she said something about her just getting sent here by Aqua."

"Why does that actually sound like Aqua?"

"I don't know, but does it sound lazy," I asked.

"Yeah, it is lazy! Just because she has a deadline doesn't mean she has to send humans to a place without a Demon King!"

"Oh, at least I met her at a perfect time, right," I asked.

"I don't know," Kazuma said. "Is she hot?"

Megumin, clearing hearing this last question came to Kazuma and hit him across the back of the head.

"Ow," Kazuma exclaimed.

I laughed, "Thanks, Kazuma."

While he was distracted from the bruise that was forming on the top of his head, I went up to my room. I opened my door and saw my bed. I quickly walked to the bed, and sat down. For some reason, I felt myself get suddenly tired.

So, I decided to take a nap. Might as well.
