My Stubborn Mistress

CA.S.SIE'S POV

That ringing of an alarm clock drilling inside her ears. "Ugh, I have school today," she mumbles.

What time did she fall asleep last night? She's been thinking about her conversation with the new owner of her house, more to say,  he is her master from now on.

Could she really just accept everything? They have an unclear agreement of her living in the Villa, although it will benefit her for staying on the island, where she had happy memories about her parents, she no longer owns the Villa. She is just now a mere errand of someone, even though Shun mentioned about her college, but what for? What is his true motive?

Ah... she needs to go to school first thing today! Cassie rushed to take a shower then wore here PE uniform, because of what happened yesterday, she forgot to wash her school uniform and the extra one.

She went down to the kitchen after she finished getting ready, just to surprise seeing auntie Ling. She then remembers, that from now on, they will start working full time which she's not used to yet. Every day, she's the one who makes her own meals before going to school. And she'll prepare more food for her aunt Lydia and Mimie, then will come back during lunch to cook their food when the two decided to stay on the island.

That's right, she's already been a maid by someone else before Shun came. She has more heavy household chores than what Shun is requesting her to do, by only serving him every time he is on the island... with auntie Ling and uncle Jong around, then it will lessen her works from now.

Cassie was eating quietly when a group of men entered the house accompanied by Mr. Rudolf and they went straight to the second floor of this villa. Before she could ask, auntie Ling told her that the boss will be going to auction all the stuff from the two bedrooms occupying by Lydia and Mimie.

Auntie Ling added that Shun told Mr. Rudolf to wait until she woke up, so that, it won't disturb her sleep. She was surprised once again of how Shun gives consideration toward her. She began wondering, why he is giving her so much favor when she was just his personal maid?

Right, the correct word of her status now is being his 'personal maid ', however, that doesn't sound appropriate to the ears.

After finishing her breakfast and settled herself on her bike, one of Shun's men blocked the driveway.

"Miss, boss instructed us to send you to school by the car. Please, step out from your bike and get in the car," said politely, by a huge man she learned that named Jing.

"The school is not that far, Mr. Jing... I'll be okay going on my bike, tell your boss I appreciate the thought, but he should not bother about it."

After saying this, she began pedaling and left the huge man scratching his head. It won't be good for her classmates to see her riding in someone's car to the school. That would be a huge talk, especially the car was too intimidating. No rich man in the island owns that kind of Mercedes Benz.

Cassie was like a free butterfly feeling the cold wind while pedaling her bike. The sun is soft on her skin and the morning breeze calming her... which the ocean was still quite this early of the morning, as the island has its peace somewhere on this Northern Asia.

She falls in love on this island as well, not because she was born here, but inside of her heart, this island is giving her security somehow... that is why she doesn't want to be apart from here again. The people are kind, helping each other is the main purpose of existence. They shared small things to others and don't mind if nothing has left for them. Everyone trying to survive, but did not forget to help other people. No wonder how her dad fell in love with this island.

She used to have a knock on her door; then seeing someone giving her fresh fish, fresh vegetable and spices, or a freshly cooked pork stew and a chicken sometimes. To think of it now, her life was always good regardless of what happens to her parents. Even she turns to be orphaned, there are still many good things happens to her until she was actually betrayed.

Cassie looks at her Fushigi Yuugi's wristwatch, she still has more time before the first class period will begin. She glances at the watch one more time before she took the right intersection away from the main road.

She remembers that the watch is given by her uncle as her 15th birthday gift when they visited Japan around three years ago. She was looking at it through the store window and her uncle noticed, she was surprised that he actually bought it for her. After learning that her uncle stealing from her, she can't completely hate him. Maybe she's just a complete innocent or because her uncle shows too much kindness: that made her blind of what's going on. At least, he did not abandon her in the street, but her aunt Lydia and Mimie.

When her uncle died, they slowly changed a lot and become cold towards her. They made her like their slaves when no one is around. Even though, she still wishes they are in good hands wherever they are now.

Cassie stopped pedaling and observe the busy people in the distance. She was hearing rumors about a hotel resort that will begin the construction soon, just next to her father's man-made forest. Who would have thought, that it was that man name Shun Crow who owns it? She also learned that he is just 30 years old but already achieved so much.

If ever her brother still alive, Shun and her brother were the same of age. She wonders, what kind of life she has if her brother stayed?

She continued watching the men below when Shun turn around and their eyes met. Caught in the moment, something racing inside her c.h.e.s.t. To her surprise when Shun turns around, she suddenly starts pedaling her bike and left as fast as she could.

To think that, she will be safe after arriving the school, but she was stormed with questions and curiosity instead... which only all about the handsome men staying at her villa. This island is small to not heard anything.

SHUN'S POV

Waking up in a room he's not familiar with, Shun recollects his memory. That is right, he was in the Hiryuu Island and now staying at Young Villa after he bought it. Right when he heard the rumor that the house and the whole property was for sale, he runs an investigation immediately. When he learned the truth, he set up a trap against Lydia who's the mastermind of all scheming of the Young properties.

He introduced himself as the owner of the hotel and resort to start building soon nearby the Young properties. When he approached Lydia that he is looking a certain land, the woman quickly showing interest until she openly said she will going to sell the Man-made forest as no one takes care of it anymore. Shun pretended he did not know that the property was about to taken by the bank. The woman knew but still try to sell it away, she believes that she is way smarter.

Shun suspecting the mother and daughter will right away leave the island after wiring the money, but he already sent his men to hold them from leaving. In front of Lydia, he revealed all her schemes, and he has strong evidence and records: that enough to imprison her for her entire life unless they will surrender by their own.

Peacefully, Kier escorted the mother and daughter by a helicopter to surrender to the police and admit their crimes. Shun carefully not revealing anything to Cassie that her aunt Lydia and Mimie was now paying their crimes, and they will never get near her or step on this island ever again. He'll make sure of that.

After taking a shower, and get the dress into a casual t-shirt and jeans, he went down to the kitchen to make his breakfast. The sun is about to rise, he thought.

"Oh, good morning boss," Auntie Ling greeted him. "I will make your coffee right away," the woman offers.

"Okay, auntie Ling. Thank you." Shun pull one of the chairs and sit. Not long ago, Rudolf appeared in the Kitchen yawning and went straight to the fridge. He pulls out the water pitcher then take a full glass of cold water. After he put away the glass and put back the pitcher, he took the seat across to Shun then rest his head on the table.

"Have you sleep late again last night? This place has a bad connection, you should limit yourself from playing online games with your age now," Shun scolded him.

Auntie Ling listens to the men who just casually talking in the table like, they were not the boss and an employee but good friends or like brothers.

"What? I stayed up all night reviewing some doc.u.ments that not my assignment," Rudolf stretching his arms while saying this. "Am just showing an extra consideration here."

Shun chuckled. "Okay. Expect for a bonus. Do you ever see me abusing my men?"

Auntie Ling places their breakfast when Daichi arrived from running outside. "Ah so good to jog around this island because the air was so fresh! You both should run often," he told the two men in front of him who's take a glance at each other.

"You, right away dig in just a moment you arrived? You don't even wash your hands!" Rudolf scolded Daichi and grab his ear towards the sink. Shun shook his head and start eating.

Auntie Ling enjoyed the scene. When these men arrived at the house, although their deadly aura overflowing from their body, she could also feel good energy from these men. Looks like they enjoy teasing each other but doing a serious job once it is a time of working hours.

"Rudolf, have you already gathered the people we need?" Shun asked.

"Yes, boss. They already arrive at the port and will on their way here," Rudolf replied.

"Okay." Shun stop eating then look up to search auntie Ling. "Auntie Ling, what time Cassie usually woke up?" he asked the middle-aged woman.

Auntie Ling come out behind the counter, "She usually wakes up by six in the morning," she answered.

"Okay, thank you, auntie Ling," he smiled to the woman. "Rudolf, began the packing after Cassie woke up."

"Alright, understood."

Shun and Daichi left the house before Cassie come down, that's around 6:30 in the morning. They went to the site to have a meeting with the engineers, architect, planners and all the workers he needs to build his own hotel and resort.

Past seven o'clock when he felt someone is staring at his back. He turns around and found it was Cassie who's still riding her bike. He was surprised at first because he instructed Jing to drive her to school. Looks the young lady refused it.

He saw how Cassie was startled once their eyes met. He smiles at her but she left without looking back once more. He noticed that she was scared of him, she even thinks he would kill a person. He sighed.

"Ahem... cough... cough." Daichi pretended something bothering his throat. Shun understood what he's trying to give signs.

Shun glances at the faces of the people in front of him who's now dropped their mouth on the ground. He Can't blame them. They knew him as a person with a poker face and they already witness his angry state when a mistake happens during the building of the Peninsula Glass Garden Castle incident. That's why everyone is very careful every time they have to work with him directly.
