My Stubborn Mistress

Cassie did not move until the car disappears from her sight. And before she could turn around, someone jumps on her.

"Miss Young! How dare you!" the girl same of her age grabbed her shoulder to face each other.

"Aren't we besties!?"

Cassie sighed. She stared at Joanna's face who gave her a funny expression as the usual. "What's the matter? Aren't you going home?" she asked her.

Joanna replied, "Look, I just hold myself not to asks you this morning because the whole class already fussing about it, but seeing that a while ago? I deserved an explanation, Miss Young!"

Cassie stunningly pinches Joanna's cheeks, then giggles, "I know you are interested too."

She began walking back to their classroom and Joanna is tailing her, she was glancing at her. Joanna is her best friend ever since Prep school, that is why she knew everything about what's going on in her life. She already plans to tell her but she was just waiting for the best time.

They now seated on their desks which Joanna was seated in front of her. From their classroom, they could have a full view of the blue sea... It was getting noon, gladly the island was filled with trees that give them cool air. The curtain of their classroom was dancing from the wind, and so Joanna tied them up. Cassie then opens the lunch box and she was surprised by what's inside.

How she could finish these all? She inhales them and smells delicious. She doesn't know that Auntie Ling could cook this kind of cuisines.

"Wow! That looks yummy!" Joanna exclaimed happily staring at the food. She looks really hungry who was known for an appetite anyway.

"Now, Miss Young, you can begin confessing," Joanna copied their Math teacher, gesturing like she adjusts her invincible reading glasses.

Pfft. She chuckles. Cassie knows that she can't get away if she'll take longer not to shared anything. She then told Joanna of what happens yesterday and Joanna listening intently without blinking an eye.

"I don't know where Aunt Lydia right now," the last words she sighed.

"In my perspective, it is good news if they are now dead," Joanna slams her own desk. She rearranges them to create a table, for they were facing each other.

"Why you and auntie Ling thought the same?" Cassie still a bit surprised every time she is hearing those cursing words...

She may now has the ideas why they felt that way towards her aunt Lydia as truly she was treated unfairly, however, she still doesn't feel any grudge towards her. She witnessed how they seem to live in luxury but she doesn't care because she's not a materialistic person. The only fact that is, it was her money what they have been spending on those things, and that's the crime they did wrong to her. Because she now lost everything. She sighed.

"What you plan to do now? If you like to, we can adopt you," Joanna pats her left shoulder. She sounds joking but she knew that Joanna is sincere in her words.

"You do not worry, I got a job to stay at the villa," she answered.

"What kind of a job? Have you not realize? That all of your companion in that house were men?" Joanna asked hysterically.

Cassie just now have a careful thought about it. From now on, she will be going to live in the same roof: not only her Master but also Mr. Daichi, Mr. Rudolf, Mr. Jing, and the other men in a black suit.

"But they look, good people," her reply to Joanna. "Besides, Auntie Ling likes them very much, so am sure they are decent men."

Joanna grabs both of her shoulders. "If you think so, but then, let me know right away if they did something improper."

"What do you mean about improper?" she asked innocently. Surely they will not put me in hard labor, right?"

"You are just too innocent Miss Young. I have to become your knight in shining s.e.xy armor." Joanna gesture a fist.

She let out a laughed. "No. You are just watching too much Chinese and Korean drama."

"What's wrong with that?"

"Alright, the food is getting cold," she said afterward. She really is grateful to have a best friend like Joanna. She's the first person who always there for her.

She had four younger siblings whom she just beat them up by their naughtiness. Well, it must be very hard dealing four mischief brothers every day... and yet, Joanna never forgets to stick her nose to her issues. She always thoughtful and cared about her. Yes, sister attention like love. Cassie smiled.

"Ah, finally! I thought we will just going to watch the food for the whole lunch break!" Joanna growled, and they both laugh.

The food was really finely wrapped. It also includes a pair of spoon and fork, then a chopstick too.

After having a taste, they both sigh in satisfaction. The food was cooked very well and tasted so very good. They haven't eaten any food this tasty. The ingredients are typical meat and spices that can found on the island but how the dish turns out this good?

"Wow. Is Auntie Ling who make them? When did she learn to cook this kind of dishes?" Joanna asked between her full mouth.

They both know that Auntie Ling cooks very well, but Cassie wondered, the food tastes familiar. Where she did have eaten this kind of cuisine before?

"I think, I already tried these dishes..." she told Joanna.

"Really?" Joanna doesn't stop filling her mouth. "Wow, even this vegetable," she praises.

Cassie keeps thinking, it could be possible? Looks like, either Mr. Rudolf or Mr. Daichi who cooks these foods.

"Ah, that's right!" Cassie then remembered. "These are French cuisine!"

"Wow, really? Are you saying am eating international food?" Joanna asked like she doesn't care as long can be eaten. How she could know? She just lives on this island all her life.

"Yes. This cuisine is just taught in France. There is an academy who only the best cook can graduate. I heard, they are very strict. After a week from pre-enrolling, when you still can't learn the dish they give you, they will not accept you into the academy."

"What? I don't understand," Joanna murmurs.

Cassie continues, "they will teach you one dish then you have to perfect it in one week. All the new created dish in that academy you have to apply the license for you to use that cuisine, like in restaurant menus. I heard, only 5 stars hotel could afford them."

"Ah, no wonder this taste good. I thought I was dead already because I felt like I was in heaven."

She stares at Joanna and she really looks enjoying the food a lot. She shook her head, then continued eating before Joanna will leave nothing for her and finish it all.

She needs to ask auntie Ling who makes these dishes to thank him later.
