Chapter 22 – The Unromantic Husband Part 2

When Zu Jin arrived at Qiyu, she didn’t even have a chance to sit and warm up her office chair before Xia Tong rushed in a panic.

“President Jin, there is someone here from the board.”

Zu Jin put the lid back on her pen and tidied up the folder. “What are you so scared of?”

Then she stood up and walked out with her high heels.

She did not seem like someone who fainted in the office in the morning.

Xia Tong saw that her boss still possessed a majestic aura that could shake the world.

She felt more reassured and was finally able to calm down quickly.

But she didn’t know that when Zu Jin came out of the office, she stopped for a moment. She suddenly had a thought.

It was: This floor is so slippery, I should not wear high heels…

When Zu Jin arrived at the conference room and pushed the door open, she glanced around and saw the poached vice president.

Without even glancing at Heng Li and Chai Jun, she went straight to the man and took the initiative to hold out her hand.

“Hello, Mr. Gao. I have been looking forward to meeting you for a long time and it has finally happened today. I’m sure you will bring a lot of experience to the company.”

For a moment, everyone in the conference room froze.

They wanted to catch Zu Jin by surprise when they brought Gao Qing in.

But who would have thought that Zu Jin would make the first move against the enemy.

This display of strength came too unexpectedly. Gao Qing originally had his legs crossed and had no intention of standing up.

He was played by Zu Jin like this, so he angrily stood up.

After they shook hands, Zu Jin sat down next to him.

Zu Jin smiled and asked, “Chairman Heng, Chairman Chai, and the rest of you have come and brought Mr. Gao here. I’m not sure what you’re trying to do.”

Chai Jun was a rash person, so he impatiently said, “Now that you know, don’t pretend anymore. We heard that something happened to you this morning and you were sent to the hospital. You have done your best for the corporation over the years, but we are afraid of there being more health problems. Now that Gao Qing is here, he can help you share the burden, so that you can take a break for a while.”

“This morning?”

Zu Jin tilted her head with a puzzled expression and asked, “What happened to me this morning? Chairman Chai, who did you hear such nonsense from?”

Chai Jun glared and could not speak.

But Heng Li, who sat next to him, had an amiable smile on.

“We are concerned about you. Zu Jin, you are 35 this year. For the sake of the corporation, you have not even solved the major problems1 of your life. How can this work? Moreover, your body has been exhausted. In the future, if you faint again during an important occasion, what will the outside world think of Qiyu?”

Zhu Jin looked at him with a fake smile. She was only looking at how she was going to pull him down.

She waved to Xia Tong with one hand, and then whispered something into her ear. Xia Tong turned and left the conference room.

“Chairman Chai, are you done? I’m really not in good health. I don’t need you to care about that. As for this Mr. Gao…”

When Zu Jin said this, she deliberately paused for a moment.

She looked at the man beside her with a ridiculing look. “As far as I know, when Mr. Gao was in the South Jiafu Corporation, he embezzled project funds to take care of his mistresses. It led to a company partner bringing these offenses to light. This was also in the local news. Our Qiyu is not a small company, so we will never allow this to happen. Mr. Gao, do you believe I am right?”

Gao Qing emitted a mocking chuckle, but his expression immediately turned into a long face.

Heng Li and Chai Jun looked at each other and took a deep breath at the same time.

When they looked back, they were about to strike back against her when the doors to the conference room opened.

Xu Peng, the Director of the Public Relations Department, came in.

Xu Peng nodded at several members of the board of directors. Afterwards, he went to Zu Jin’s side.

“President Jin.”

Zu Jin said, “Sit.”

Xu Peng sat down next to her.

“Since so many members of the board of directors have come here today, let’s take this opportunity to inform everyone of the things that have been suppressed up until now Xu Peng, begin.” •´¯`•. Please read at foxaholic.com .•´¯`•

Xu Peng spread out the file “In July and September of last year, November, and February of this year until this month, I have been receiving reports from one employee after another within our Qiyu Corporation. Among these reports, the two chairmen, Heng Li and Chai Jun, have received the most reports. The contents of the reports are of your two relatives who have been arranged to be managed on the ground floor. They have set up a company outside of the corporation and colluded with other employees to benefit their own company. Chairman Chai arranged for the people to take advantage of more than 620 million yuan.”

Zu Jin suddenly raised her hand and interrupted him with an indifferent expression. “Apart from Chairman Heng and Chairman Chai, all the shareholders today, including your children who work in Qiyu’s branches, have also received non-anonymous reports at various levels. I originally asked Xu Peng to suppress these matters, but I don’t know who stabbed him in the back and let the editor-in-chief of the Metropolitan Financial Daily know. He is going to release it tomorrow. It’s probably being printed in the newspaper right now.”

As these words came, the conference room erupted into chaos.
