Mysterious Martial Cultivator

I really was hoping you guys give feedback to me. So this post will explain our current arc last chapter I introduced the first villain of the book. The only comments I have received so far have suggested my writing pace slow and mc being driven on a revenge crusade. Hopefully you guys have read chapter 3 where mc is still in the sect. So how on earth do you think a massacre will take place. There will be deaths which you need in a eastern fantasy novel but I assure you the core characters cannot die so early in a novel. The other thing is my slow pace. I do not think I can change that but I will be honest on this front that my novel chapters are much shorter than other ones. For example if I compare it to dual cultivation my 18 chapters will be 10-11 based on words so I guess the number of chapters is perhaps confusing you guys. Any feedback will be extremely appreciated. I honestly want to know how to improve my writing so if you guys want to leave reading my novel. I will still appreciate the reasons to improve me further. I started writing due to depression from my university results but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
