Upon our arrival, I received information from my clones that they finally retrieved Fukushu and are currently supporting his life with all they got, which isn't much? as they were nearing Konoha and were running out of time.

"Everyone, you're dismissed. Your task is to properly doc.u.ment and format our mission. We will submit it a bit later and you will receive your payment," I informed as I was tracking the location of my remaining few clones.

"Hai!"

"Hiruko, please, go and inform the doctors in the hospital that they need to prepare for emergency treatment of a severely ill patient." my token of identity was tossed into his hands. He caught it and sprinted in the necessary direction. My students knew when to not ask questions.

"Malika-sensei, what is- HMPF!" except for Jiraya, who was too curious for his own good, and was taken care of by his loving cousin. Tsunade Shunshin'ed' both of them away and I saw that Orochimaru followed suit just before I teleported away.

My clones stopped in the middle of the forest about a day away from the Village and were concentrating on keeping the man in their hands alive sitting around him in a semicircle. Which allowed me to immediately assess the condition of our runaway Uchiha.

His deathly pale skin that tightly clung to his bones and atrophied muscles, was covered in scars few of which were recent and are a result of my clones freeing him from the statue's grasp as it seemed to be infused with him. His once long, raven, silky hair turned grey and hay-like. His visible eye was still the powerful Dojutsu and concentrated on me as I arrived.

"....." He opened his mouth to say something, but all that came out were hoarse noises. He was given water before that, but his throat needed to be healed first.

"We will speak when you wake up, Fukushu," his eyes widened slightly in silent terror when I came closer and put my hand on his head, but he soon relaxed and fell into a very deep sleep. My clones dispersed and I teleported both of us into the hospital's lobby.

What followed after, can be only described as organized chaos. The patient was immediately taken away from me and transported deeper into the building for further examinations and treatment. I was asked to wait till further notice if they'll require my help. They know about my abilities, but this facility has a few S-rank Iryonins that held pride in their skills and they will not allow others to interfere unless the circ.u.mstances are truly helpless.

I sat down on one of the chairs.

[Madara-nii, I brought him home. We are currently in the hospital. Please, don't charge in here right now. We need time to treat his body before we move on to his mind shattering and healing.]

I didn't see his reaction, but the whirlpool of emotions that spiked up from his office was enough to picture it.

[...]

[...]

[I will come as soon as it will be allowed,] he finally managed to answer a very long pause.

[Thank you, Nii-san. Can you, please, inform others about this situation? I'll be most likely busy soon,] I pushed the task onto him so that he had something and someone to divert his mind away to. Emotional Madara is only handable by Hashi and his brother.

As I predicted, they did call me in, when it became apparent that they will not be able to mend him into good shape which would be alright but since I was here, they couldn't let a patient be disabled if they could prevent that.

The information about Uchiha Fukushu was highly restricted and guarded. Many didn't even remember his existence so no-one had a problem with healing him or helping to their best abilities.

They left me alone as soon as they made sure I wore proper clothes, a mask, glows, and had other necessary items.

I scanned his body and was very satisfied with his condition now. He was no longer in critical condition. They even managed to somewhat restore his Chakra pathways which were almost beyond that. All I had to do was restore them completely and... replace the eyes. We can speak about this matter after he wakes up and Madara-nii-san comes.

Looks like Zetsu just wanted to have a vessel for the eyes and his mother. Nothing else. And since nothing but the body needed, the rest was neglected.

A few hours later, I was done and the lost Uchiha was transported into his own room. I sat near him by the window and just gazed outside. The view was good. I sent a message to my Nii-sans that it's going to be alright to come when Fukushu wakes up and looked over to the table next to me. A jar with preserving liquid stood there with a pare of 'God's eyes'.

It's a bit astonishing what these are capable of and were going to be used for. Well, not that they will be now.

A glowing sphere was floating in my hands filled with a black tar-like substance. There was so much of this stuff in Fukushu's mind... I don't even know if he was even thinking for himself with that much.

A short incantation later, blue flames engulfed the orb and incinerated the garbage. Pfew, the room feels so much lighter without this trash here.

I looked back at the eyes and caught myself sighing and rubbing my temples. I knew exactly what these were going to be used for by Zetsu. My Taimuai was doing something really odd, which I had no control over, showing me alternate realities of this world.

The possibilities and ways the world could be changed were a little petrifying, to say the least. Many were... similar to each other in a few ways. Some were completely different. Some worlds evolved into safe haven, others became living hell or destroyed. A few of them became domains of newborn Gods and others remained almost unchanged with the exception of a few details.

Let's just say that the experience is an eye-opener, heh.

I shook my head, banishing the annoying images from my mind. They were unnecessary and my patient was waking up.

(Third person POV)

The consciousness was slowly coming back to him. And for the first time in ages, it didn't feel heavy. He felt his body being situated on something a lot softer than a rocky chair and let the feeling of comfort embrace him.

At first, Uchiha did nothing but breathe, enjoying the sudden freedom. A few minutes later, he made an attempt to move his chakra. His eyes flared open when he realized he could actually do that without pain eating at his mind.

Blinding sunlight hit him, forcing his eyelids to shut themselves. Where was he...?

"Take your time waking up, Fukushi," a gentle and familiar voice made him paralyzed. "You have been through a lot and can take it a bit easier now."

A lot of thoughts, feelings, and reflexes wanted to free themselves from his frame, eventually drowning themselves in an eerily calm lake of apathy.

Just like he was told to, he took his time adjusting to the lighting and only then opened his eyes. Fukushu lifted his arm with a slight fascination at the ease of such action. His body still felt weak, extremely so, but the absence of pain and a feeling of HIS Chakra being produced and circulated made it into an almost heavenly feeling.

"Well, wasn't that an emotional spike," the voice teased in a so painfully familiar manner.

"Hn," the man shook his gray hair that was cut a lot shorter than it was and turned his head towards the voice as sitting up was not an option his body was willing to give yet, "...and as I can see, you haven't changed one bit..." he was finally able to say after a short pause. She was still looking like that twelve years old girl he remembered.

"Oh, don't worry, I did," Malika chuckled and flicked a long braid of hair behind her back as she stood up and made her way to his bedside.

"Welcome back home, idiot. We missed you," these words were shortly followed by a hearty, tight hug, you'd never expect from a girl of her frame.

Uchiha remained still for a while and then slowly wrapped his own hands around her for a bit. Being silent. Not voicing any of the guilt his soul was slowly gathering from the moment he woke up. Actions he took and their results. Schemes he had for the future. The betrayal of his clan and friends... Everything that seemed alright and was nothing but steps for the greater goal suddenly seemed so dirty and devastating.

But his emotional self-inflicted torture was suddenly cut short by a loud slam of the door and an appearance of... his teacher. Much older, defiantly a bit faded him, but the man before him was his dear sensei that was his father figure.

Madara ignored any protests from nurses and teasing berating from Malika and just stomped to the bed. He lifted his arms and...

Just hugged his student.

Correction: bearhugged a recovering patient that was in need of a lot of rest and recovery.

The former head of the great Uchiha clan was promptly kicked from the room along with Malika, who showed a peak stage of hurt on her face.

"That's your fault, Nii-san." She huffed and teleported home. Her child was still waiting for her return from the mission. Madara sighed, looked over at smirking Izuna, who was enjoying the show from the shadow and also returned to his office. They will speak a little later.

The rescued Uchiha was left alone after the fuss over him initiated by nurses was done and tried to process what had just occurred. Which proved to be too much of a challenge for his current brain and he fell asleep.
