(Third person POV)

The duo was greeted by four smug smiles from her students. They were visibly unharmed and only their tattered in some places clothes gave away their fights. Judging by a hole, Jiraya got a cut on his abdomen and was healed later.

"I'm very proud to be your teacher," Malika said as she walked over to them and pulled everyone into a group hug despite unenergetic protests from her 'grown-up and independent genins'. Minato climbed down from her and 'attacked' Jiraya's hip.

"Congratulations, Jiraya-san!" the child smiled and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, Minato-kun," the white-haired teen said and ruffled golden locks with a chuckle. "We absolutely kicked their butts out there!"

"Your b.u.t.t can be considered to be kicked as well, Ji-ji," Tsunade snatched the child and smirked.

"Stop calling me that!" he shrieked. "Just say that you're jealous of my snowy white hair and quit calling me old! I'll have you know that I'm at the very beginning of my absolutely awesome life filled with adventures and stunning beauties!"

Minato was put back on the floor. He lifted his head clearly questioning the meaning of what has had been said, Hiruko and Orochimaru let out identical smirks and Tsunade slowly clenched her fists with a very audible crunch which made Jiraya lose his grin and quickly duck behind their Sensei moments before a small, gentle hand crushed the concrete tiles.

"Come on out, Ji-ji~"

"N-no?" He peeked out a little and hid again narrowly escaping a shuriken into the face. "I'M FINE HERE!"

Before the fight reached its usual level of destruction, Malika teleported everyone in line and made it impossible to move for all of them since both of her future researchers also were about to join in on the sibling fun.

Minato was back in her hands and now sat there, giggling. He had seen this so many times all of it seemed like good fun to him.

"Alright my dear, a.d.u.l.t children," Malika began, ignoring unsatisfied noises from her students who really didn't like when she would address them as such, "the second stage of the Chunin exam will continue for four more days during which you have time to rest, train and prepare for the rest of the examination. Others might not have as much of an opportunity depending on how fast they reach this place."

"You will be staying here until the end of the stage. I do not want to see this tower in pieces before others even reached this place, so I will have to ask you to withhold any of your usual banter. It has the potential of becoming too much and-"

"It will draw unnecessary attention to us and show our capabilities to others and since you want to see us all get a promotion we should keep as much hidden as possible," - Hiruko finished with a nod since she had already removed the binds.

"Yup," she chuckled and hugged them again. "I'm not allowed to interact with you during your stay here, so I wish you the best of luck and we'll see each other in a few days."

"Hai!"

"You have to visit us with your parent, Minato-kun!" - Jiraya winked at the happy boy who was destructed by imprinting the interesting place into his memory.

"He won't be allowed here, and technically isn't now, so you'll see him when you get out," Malika said before her child promised anything since he hated breaking his words.

Minato nodded, "I'll meet you soon with mom!"

Everyone from the team was shocked to hear him calling their sensei that but before they had a chance to ask anything, two shinobi entered into the room and motioned the examined genins to follow their lead.

"They will take care of you while you're here and it is my cue to leave," the young-looking sensei informed her pupils and vanished with a child after giving each one of them a flick on the foreheads.

Orochimaru let out an offended yelp while Jiraya just glared at the now empty space covering the spot he was attacked at.

"How come we never catch her doing that!?" Tsunade loudly complained as the group moved deeper into the tower. Hiruko just walked next to them a little dazed because his flick was made by Minato who unconsciously embedded it with chakra.

The second stage finished without preliminaries since only there were only two teams from Konoha (8 people), one from Kiri, one from Kumo, and one from Suna (9 people since their teams only had 3 genins per team). Five people were unable to continue so in total there were only twelve participants in the end. Just enough of a show for 'high and mighty' of the world.

Everyone was given a month to heal, prepare, and train. The guests were allowed to go to our hospitals and train on the training grounds provided for them; however, poor dears were too scared to use our medicine and had to make do with what they had. What a shame. We could've once again shown how good our professionals are but oh well.

I wanted to give my students a few days off as a reward for passing but they made such scary and offended faces that I had to scrap the idea. They were way too bored in that tower.

Minato would often tag along and train as well. He was already able to move his chakra when he used hand signs and was learning how to walk on the trees. He learned fast. He will definitely become a very strong shinobi in the future.

My boy's birthday happened to be a few days before the exam resumed and my team and their families were invited to it. Everyone knew each other either before or after they became my students, so the party was very fun. We even managed to get Izuna out of his tower for a bit.

When birthday dinner was finished and everyone went to play, rest, or speak, I received not so happy news.

Mito was just a few years away from her body giving in to the poisonous chakra of the Bijuu and she would leave us. I couldn't help with this. I could heal almost anything, but at a time like this, when death is almost at the doorsteps, I can do nothing.

"We had arranged for Mito's granddaughter, Kushina Uzumaki to arrive soon in order to be trained and, eventually, become the next Jinchuriki," I was informed by Tobirama as he looked me in the eyes.

"Why, am I only informed about this now?" I asked as I fought my own emotions, struggling to keep them under control.

"I asked them not to," Madara said as he took a sip of water, "I remember that you had a plan for Bijuu but it was moving along very slowly and Mito is running low on time. This was decided just a week ago and no one wanted to interrupt your time with your son and students."

"I'm part of the management of this place..." I massaged my temples, "There's no such thing as 'interruption'. Only duty."

They shared a look in between them and Hashirama opened his mouth, voicing their shared opinion.

"It's a bit painful to say," he began, fidgeting with his sleeve, "but you were never meant to have them."

"....what?"

"Any responsibility you have were originally ours. We never wanted to burden you with work. You are, after all, even if I hate to think about it, not a part of this world and will have to return to your homeplace at some point in time." He moved closer to me and squeezed my body in a tight, bone-crushing embrace, "We want you to enjoy your time here."

They soon went home, leaving absolutely delighted Minato behind with the presents he was given. He tried to remain as collected as he could, but I could see his d.e.s.i.r.e to finally snatch all of them into his room and open the wrappers and boxes.

"Have fun, sunshine. I will join you after I clean up here a bit," I let out a chuckle, ruffled his hair, and watched as he moved everything upstairs at a speed of light and disappeared.

I let out a sigh and went to do the aforementioned chores. And trying to settle my mind down.

I felt... a little weird about the whole situation my family brought up. I was happy that they were looking after my feelings and wanted the best for me, but I also felt a bit bitter that they didn't ask my opinion on things. They could've just asked how was the plan going and I would've told them that it was going great! I've tracked down all of the locations of Jinchuriki and Bijuu and was only waiting for the opportunity to do my stuff.

Well, the arriving girl won't become a JInchuriki until she is much older so I have all the time in the world to finish this.

I finished the cleaning, turned off the lights, and went into the room with excited noises behind the door.

"Well, my little big boy, do you mind if I intrude onto the happy afterparty?"

The response came in a form of a hug and eager tugging towards the bed where everything was lined up for display.
