"It's been days since we lost against the Islanders. We were unprepared against them. Power-wise, they are only slightly stronger than us but we still lost. I still couldn't move on, to be honest." Remembering what happened, I could have done better.

*Sigh* "It's not like we can change the past, right? That's why we're going to the swampland to train or even get better monster souls. It's all we can do now as Scy told us that the Islanders are coming soon. We need to be prepared well this time." Ethan's right. Changing the past huh...

"Please shut up, both of you. I'm still eating!" Ugh... annoying little sister.

"Geez. Aren't you pissed of them too? I remember you're the one who threw a tantrum after losing. You almost destroyed the house." In real life, Lili hates losing.

"Shut up, sis!" Well... I guess I should.

*Knock Knock*

Hmmm... Mom and Dad should still be on a vacation. Who could it be?

"I'll take it. Just go ahead and enjoy your meal." Ethan stood up and went to check who's at the door. Should be just a random salesman.

"Lili, go to your room and lock it." Thankfully she listened and went upstares.

At times like this, it's better to be prepared. I remember my father buying a self-defense weapon. It should be here, found it! I found my father's stun gun. I hope Ethan's alright.

"Who are you? Shouldn't you say hello before barging in?" As expected of Ethan. He shouldn't have any problems against random break-ins. Still, I should get ready in case the situation goes sideways.

"Nice reflexes, Ethan." It's a girl's voice and she talks like she knows Ethan. Who could it be? She must be the one who attacked earlier. It shouldn't take this long.

Then I heard movements here and there. Most of the time, Elou takes down people in a few seconds... How can this girl still be standing around Elou.

I slowly walked towards the living room to check and... *BAAAM* Something hit the floor! It sounded so bad. Elou should have handled it without anyone getting hurt, now Elou must have overdone it.

Wait, Elou's the one on the floor! She could me peeking from the side of the door so I revealed myself while showing I have a gun. "Isn't it nice? It's like I'm looking at the mirror looking at you." What did she mean by that?! A girl wearing a mask of some sort came to our house without even a warning. How could she beat Elou in a single move? This never happened before... We're in trouble...

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" I could help myself but feel threatened... I held the stun gun up high aiming at her. "Please get out of here before you get hurt." Please, leave... or I have to use this.

"Should I be scared of a toy like that? Your hands are shaking too much that I don't think you could even hit me with that, not to mention you have only one shot. Go ahead, shoot." My hands couldn't stop shaking. This girl... is dangerous. Someone help us!

"Ack! Ehh?" What happened?

*Cough Cough* Ugh! Pain crawled through my body that came from my stomach. Before I could realize it, I'm already on the floor gasping for air.

"I told you, that toy should be useless. Now, are we done with the introductions and get down to talking?" My hair! She pulled up my head while lifting my hair. I could feel pain all over my body. It hurts...I nodded to acknowledge her threat. I don't want to die.

"Good. So, here's the thing. I'm just here to warn you about something. If you want to be happy, get away from a certain guy you know who. The more you stick with him, the more miserable your life would be." Is she talking about Scy? Why would she come here just to tell me that? Even hurting us...

"I don't understand... Please, leave- Ack!" I can't breathe! She's choking me!

"Poor thing. Look at me! Look at me!" She took away her mask but her face... her face is covered in burn scars that I couldn't even recognize her. "Ain't I beautiful? Hahaha! This is the result of me trusting someone, someone that promised to stay with me and love me for the rest of my life but what happened? I was the prettiest but because of him, I became the ugliest that nobody wants to look at me! Hahaha!" She's... she's broken to the core.

*SL.A.PS* It hurts... I couldn't help myself but cry. "Feeling pity, aren't you?" Her pain, her grievance... it's too much.

Putting back her mask, "Well, it's your choice if you want to be like me but don't forget that I warned you." *Ring Ring* She picked up her phone and... "It's time for me to go. You're lucky to have your sister. She called the police as soon as she got the chance."

Since then, Scy has been avoiding us after the battle against the islanders. It felt like he knows something or he could have met the girl as well but it's hard for me to tell. Still, even if I want to spend time with him, I couldn't ask for more as I'm merely a friend to him... But moments like this, I know that I'm home.

"Hey, Akko! Aren't you daydreaming in the middle of the day? Jeez!" Elou... you don't have to-

Coming near to me and whispering "This is your best chance to-" Elou... "Shut up, jeez." This is not the time for that. I'm sure we have a lifetime to work it out.
