Please, It’s Just A Story!!

Elaina drove down the highway and was soon at her destination.

The school

She knew her brother had after school practice so she waited quietly in the car. She had her eyes closed and the music playing. She soon began to hum to the rhythm of it.

"The days are over,

The nights feel longer,

The sky turns dark,

But my feeling of love,

Never fades so quicker.

I remember that feeling,

When we hold hands when we're cold.."

The music was interrupted. When she heard a sound near her window she opens her eye wide and turned to her window.

It was the school bell ringing and she got off the car. But when she looked at her watch see saw there was till a little bit of more time left before it rang.

'What the heck? A bell test or something?' Elaina questioned why the bell rang.

She looked at her watch and saw it was almost time for her break to end, but she still stayed.

"Just 37 minutes, no problem" she mumbled.

She got out of the car and leaned on the car door. Lots of a.d.u.l.ts notice her standing but left her alone.

"Did you see that woman?" A woman whispered to her friend.

Elaina wasn't planning on paying attention to conversation.

She pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.

"Teens now a days. They have no problem bring trouble to themselves." The woman replied.

"Look at the way she dressed, talk about not being able to cover up." The woman said when she saw Elaina wearing her skirt.

'Are you dumb women? Which eye of yours saw, ME being un-conservative?' Elaina wasn't to far from the gossiping mothers. She felt slightly ticked off.

"Is she a mother?"One of the mother said.

In the middle of smoking, she was close to choking.

'What better being slapped by your boss or slapped by an auntie?' She threw the cigarette on the ground and stomped on it.

"Big Sister!" A cheerful voice brought her back to reality. She looked at the young boy running over to her with a huge smile on his face.

'Ahh, I'm truly blessed to have him' she smiled and all the negative feeling she had disappeared.

"Little Daisuke! Don't run so fast you might fall!" She said.

"..." the 2 gossiping mother were dumbfounded.

" it's ok! I won't fall!" Daisuke said and he went and hugged Elaina. "Big Sister, I'm hungry! Can you make lasagna?" The sparkling eyes were so hard to resist.

'how can I say no?' She thought silently.

"Alright! Whatever you say Little Daisuke!" She smiled and held his hand all they way to the car. She closed the door and pulled her belt.

Click. "You ready to go Little Daisuke?" Elaina said.

"Oui!" Daisuke said. And then started talking about his day, while Elaina was driving him home.

"Big Sis, you know today I saw a boy sitting alone in our class reading Detective Izumi!"

"Really now?"

"Uh huh, but you know what...he always alone. And when I tried talking to him he would only say a few words and not talk at all... and I heard that he don't have a mommy and daddy."
