Golden Agent of the Adonis (95)

This screenwriter enjoyed writing but was not quite skilled at expressing her ideas. She talked a lot, fearing that Chu Xiang and Fang Zhenxuan might misunderstand her and bombard her with a bunch of legal regulations. Fortunately, Chu Xiang and Fang Zhenxuan understood her. Chu Xiang patted her shoulder and said, “Don’t worry, this is a project we will accomplish together. Let’s work hard and make it the best. This drama will definitely be a hit.”

The screenwriter’s eyes instantly lit up, and she excitedly pushed up her glasses. “Sister Xiang, you said this drama will definitely be a hit? Then it will definitely be a hit! Thank you so much, Sister Xiang!”

Chu Xiang was taken aback. “Huh?”

“Don’t you know, Sister Xiang? Everyone has been talking about it. Whenever you say ‘definitely’ about something, it always comes true. It’s like your words are gold! Many people think you bring good luck. If you say this drama will be a hit, then it definitely will!” The screenwriter looked thrilled. Although she wasn’t superstitious, having good luck was certainly a good thing.

Fang Zhenxuan flipped through the script and smiled. He turned to Chu Xiang and said, “It looks like we have to work hard to make this drama a hit and maintain your ‘good luck’ reputation.”

Chu Xiang couldn’t help but feel in between tears and laughter. She never expected to leave such a profound impression so quickly. However, the screenwriter’s request aligned with her intentions. She took on this resource in the first place because she recognized the nature of the legal drama and the company’s emphasis on it.

Even if the screenwriter didn’t approach them, she would find a way to participate in the drama’s production. This was Fang Zhenxuan’s first time as the male lead, and it had to be a big hit, or else his value would plummet. The most crucial aspect of a workplace drama was that it must not undermine professionalism; otherwise, it would feel out of place and lose the audience’s interest after a few episodes.

Currently, audiences were interested in workplace dramas, but there hadn’t been a truly satisfying and visually appealing one in the market. This was the best opportunity. If they could produce this legal drama well, Fang Zhenxuan would undoubtedly soar to new heights like a rocket!

After returning home, Chu Xiang and Fang Zhenxuan gathered together to study the script. Fang Zhenxuan had a legal background, so he easily pinpointed flaws in the portrayal of certain cases and legal loopholes. As for Chu Xiang, she had won international awards in the world of writing and screenwriting. Modifying the script was a piece of cake for her.

Fang Zhenxuan was responsible for identifying issues and correcting errors, while Chu Xiang polished the language and modified the plot to make it more captivating. The two of them worked together seamlessly, achieving remarkable results with half the effort when it came to revising the script.

Even though Fang Zhenxuan had always admired his own manager’s abilities, he was once again surprised this time. She could handle everything, even the script revisions. What was there that his manager couldn’t do?

Just as he was pondering this, he immediately found the answer. Chu Xiang only had a basic understanding of law, and in his strongest area, she truly didn’t know much. Suddenly, he became enthusiastic about sharing legal knowledge with her. Surprisingly, she enjoyed listening, and so they added another leisure activity to their repertoire.

It happened to be a good time as Fang Zhenxuan had finished his current schedule. He could take a few days off and, aside from memorizing lines for the urban drama “Plot Twist” where he played the second male lead, he could search for bugs in the legal drama script. Compared to running around outside, this kind of life was quite relaxed. Furthermore, he could spend quality time at home with Xinxin.

Xinxin was well taken care of by her nanny, Sister Wen. She got along well with other kids at kindergarten and was now even happier because she could be with Fang Zhenxuan and Chu Xiang every day. Her little face was full of smiles, making her all the more adorable.

When The Legend of Noble Consort Jing aired before, Chu Xiang and Fang Zhenxuan were too busy with their TV show recordings and didn’t get a chance to watch it. Now, they sat on the sofa at home, with Chu Xiang revising the script while keeping Xinxin company as they watched together.

Xinxin became extremely excited when she saw Fang Zhenxuan on TV. She grabbed his hand and exclaimed, “Uncle! Uncle! Look, he looks just like you! Is he our ancestor?”

Fang Zhenxuan chuckled and replied, “No, that’s me acting. Do you remember? You went to the set with me before and saw me filming, right? After I finish filming, I appear on TV for everyone to see.”

Xinxin stared at the screen intently, slowly matching the scenes she had seen on set with what was on TV. She opened her mouth in surprise and said, “Is that how TV shows are made? What about cartoons?” Her eyes brightened. “Uncle, can I act in a cartoon too?”

Before Fang Zhenxuan could respond, she turned and hugged Chu Xiang’s arm, shaking it. “Sister, do you arrange Uncle’s work? Can you arrange for me to act in a cartoon?”

Chu Xiang smiled and said, “Oh, cartoons won’t work, sweetie. You see, your uncle looks the same on TV as he does in real life, just with different clothes and hair. But can you look the same as the characters in cartoons? They’re all make-believe.”
