The next day, Mesa was sitting near his teammates playing with his scroll. The rest of his team were busying themselves with their stuff, Pyrrha cleaning her weapons while Ren being tortured by Nora.

It was relatively peaceful morning till they heard Glynda's voice over the intercom " Would all the first-year students please report to the amphitheater "

Mesa commented " And here come the assignment ….. I prefer to stay here and play with my scroll "

Nora responded hearing Mesa's word " Don't be a joy killer !! We can break legs !!! "

She then proceeded to pull poor Ren while running excitedly. Mesa seeing her acting like this could only sigh and walk after them. Pyrrha followed silently while looking at Mesa with eyes filled with grief. She still haven't overcome the fact her relationship with him broke so easily.

She was angry and spoke without thinking, she had never expected Mesa would break up with her. She didn't think what she said was wrong, but the way she spoke was wrong and she regretted it. However, seeing Mesa carefree atitude and his complete disregard broke her heart, she felt stabbing pain in her c.h.e.s.t everytime saw his indifference toward her. She looked at his back while following Ren and Nora, she thought [ I don't know if your reaction because of your pride or you really don't care in the least about me. It doesn't matter, I have my pride and principles to carry me on ]

Within Pyrrha's saddened eyes, a stubborn and proud gleam shined. She would never let go of her pride and principles no matter what is the reason.

After walking for few minutes, team MNPR reached their destination, a huge hall filled with fire year students from the 4 kingdoms. MNPR walked and stood near Beacon's students.

Right after their arrival, team RWBY arrived to the hall and moved toward team MNPR. Team RWBY stood in front of team MNPR. Ruby stood directly in front of Mesa with a huge backpack, which caught his attention, the bag was moving slightly on its own. Mesa raised an eyebrow while staring at the bag. Suddenly he remembered the show, Ruby brought her dog to the mission assignments with her backpack. Mesa shook his head, Ruby changed the least among everyone else even with Mesa's influence.

At the same time, Glynda walked on the stage and spoke " Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin. "

Glynda moved to the back while Ozpin moved forward, he stood in the middle of the stage with slight light directed at him, he started speaking " Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best. "

Once Ozpin finished his speech, he retreated with calm and steady steps. The students all began to file out the amphitheater when they suddenly heard crashing sound from the stage. Everyone looked toward the source only to see Ozpin laying on the floor near the stage.

Ozpin stood up and looked around him, all the students of all schools were staring at him weirdly. Mesa laughed from the side and said loudly " You forgot to remind us to not stumble with air "

Ozpin coughed and said " Good point mr Uchiha " he then retreated hastily. Mesa laughed harder. Glynda who was watching what happened sighed. In the past few months, Ozpin came to be known as the stumbling headmaster among his students thanks to Mesa. She tried to stop Mesa at first, but she gave up later on when she heard Ozpin's unofficial title. There is nothing left to be saved so why bothering, that was all what Glynda could think of.

Mesa laughed evilly in his mind as he thought " Oh Ozpin … You might be a great lier and master manipulation. You lied to everyone, tricked them making them you are an angel who came to help them to guide them to the light. You led those who trusted you to grim fate with no hope in the name of humanity and made your ex-wife the greatest evil. But in the end, both you and her are ancient slaves fighting for centuries for the same cause foolishly. When the time comes and all the preparations are finished, your judgment day will begin "

While Mesa was immersed in his thoughts, Nora was jumping excitedly checking the missions. She called for Mesa snapping him out of his thoughts " Hey !!! Great and fearless leader, what mission should we take ???!! "

Mesa looked at the available missions, there was a variety of missions from investigation and catching robbers to fight with grim. He chose a mission without taking his teammates opinions which earned him angry glares.

He looked at them and said " The mission is to catch some robbers in Vale. Think about it, Nora you can break legs as much as you want and no one will say anything to you. Ren, you can have an easy and peaceful mission. As for you Pyrrha, you want to bring people to the right path. Here you go, convert them from their evil ways "

Nora didn't think much about his words and jumped excitedly. Ren frowned a little, he could easy detect the sarcastic words when Mesa talked. Pyrrha clenched her fist as she thought [ So he is holding grudge against me because the way I spoke to him. I swear someday I will change you for the better ]

As Pyrrha swore to change Mesa, she felt slight relief. Mesa did care about her or else he wouldn't be angry. He is not disregarding her out of indifference, he is just angry and may be feeling betrayed by her words which led to his behaviour. WIth such a train of thoughts, Pyrrha believed she still had a chance to fix her relationship with Mesa.

While Pyrrha was living in her hopes, Mesa was thinking about Neo [ I didn't see her for quite some time now. Since I'm a single handsome and badass asshole, I should go look for Neo and make her my girlfriend officially ]

It was a good thing that Pyrrha couldn't hear his thoughts. He truly didn't care about her in the slightest.

Mesa spoke to his team " Prepare for the mission, and follow every order from the professional huntsman you shadowing. If you need anything, you can call for me "

Ren frowned as he asked " Where are you going ? "

Mesa replied " Not wasting my time with this stupid assignment, so I will go play around in Vale. See ya "

Mesa waved his hand and disappeared in his spiral. His team looked tired seeing this, Mesa was a great leader and even a greater fighter than whatever could ever hope to be. But his disregard to the school assignments and his lazy and easy go atitude really are annoying sometimes.

Mesa's team went to do their assignment while Mesa disappeared the whole day. No one knew where Mesa went.

The next day, NPR were surrounding Mesa with narrowed eyes, Nora spoke first with angry tone " When you ditched us yesterday, you said we can contact you. But we couldn't no matter how hard we tried "

Mesa said " Something got up and couldn't answer "

Ren asked this time " Where did you go? What were you doing ?"

Mesa sighed and said " I had some preparation and work to finish "

Ren frowned hearing his words. He wanted to ask Mesa for more details but Nora asked first " Preparing for what??!! What are you doing exactly ?"

Mesa spoke with rare serious face " All what you need to know, I'm working on a big project, and it is not located in Vale. The details are not for you to know "

Seeing Mesa's face, they decided to not ask anymore about this subject. Pyrrha told Mesa " Today, you will join us. NO DITCHING!! " She emphasized on her last words.

Mesa rolled his eyes as he said " Okay, No ditching "

Mesa's scroll suddenly started ringing. Mesa checked the scroll and saw Ruby's name, he answered the call " Hi Ruby !!"

Mesa and his team could hear loud sounds in the background, Ruby spoke hurriedly " Go to Vale's south market, a huge army of grim will attack there. Bring any help you can and tell civilians to evacuate fast !!!! "

Ruby then stopped the call, Mesa looked at his team and spoke " Let's go now, we don't have time "

He didn't bother to waste time thinking about what Ruby said, he knew few dozens of Grim will appear in Vale today, nothing really major. He teleported his team to the south market.

Once they arrived, Mesa gave an order to his team " Start evacuating now !! I will call Ozpin"

His team didn't waste any moment, they started to evacuate immediately. On the other hand, called Ozpin. Ozpin started speaking " Mr Uchiha … It's rare for you to call me. I hope…."

Ozpin on the other side calmed himself fast, Mesa's threat scared him but saving civilians takes a higher priority. He called Glynda immediately.

Back to Mesa's team, they efficiently evacuated the whole area in less than 30 min. Mesa now understood why Beacon had fallen in the original story. The people in Vale have the courage of chickens. They get scared so easily, he had an urge to kill them all. They were nothing but a waste, even the air they breath is wasted on them.

NPR gathered in front of Mesa, Pyrrha said " Everyone evacuated, what should we do now? "

Mesa said calmly " Nothing, I called Ozpin and he should send help soon. Now we wait team RWBY and then we will act upon their arrival "

Once Mesa finished talking, the ground bursted with huge train, Mesa saw team RWBY coming out of the train running fast with professor Oobleck. Mesa now believed he was a jinx. Everytime he said something, it happen immediately.

Team RWBY ran toward MNPR, Yang said happily " Glad to see you guys, especially you Mesa. we need your mass destruction semblance now the most "

Mesa wanted to respond but Oobleck talked to them with grave tone " Students, If you are afraid of this fight, you can leave no one is going to blame you. Even professional hunters will fear an attack of such a scale !!"

Mesa was slightly confused [ Why are they acting like it's the end of the worlds. Sure few dozens of grim will attack the city. But few huntsmen team could stop them]

Mesa didn't wait long to get his answer. From the hole, hundreds of the grims of all shapes and sizes came out. Mesa was surprised, the number of grims he is seeing right now exceeded the show by tens of times.

Mesa whistled seeing the army, he looked at the people next to him. All of them had a grave and pale faces even the professor. He shook his head and said with easy tone " Now, now, don't pee yourself out of fear. It is not as bad as you guys think "

Everyone glared at him. Weiss said with angry tone " How can you be so calm now ??!! We are probably going to die here !! "

The rest of them all shared the same thoughts. Mesa laughed and said " Relax, no one is going to die. I will show you something new. This, my friends, is called 'Chibaku Tensei' Now, start running away, the farther the better. "

As he was saying these words, he raised his hand and clenched it into a fist. Then he started opening his fist slowly, showing everyone a dark purple ball floating in his palm. This ball was the same ball which appeared that he used that night in the docks. Everyone who was present remembered it. For some reason, all of them felt hope seeing it with the exception of Oobleck. Oobleck seeing the ball caused a feeling of deadly crisis to well up in his heart. His instincts told him to run away as fast as possible, he felt like this small is far more dangerous than any army of grim could ever be.

Oobleck ordered the students hurriedly " EVERYONE START RUNNING NOW !!!!"

Oobleck dashed away from Mesa, and everyone followed him. Mesa was still standing in his place looking at the army of grim, which was still coming out of hole and gathering in one location. Mesa could tell the grims weren't completely mindless. They were gathering instead of attacking immediately, but he didn't care, they will be killed anyway.

While everyone was running away, Nora asked Ren " The thing he said earlier, what does it mean? "

Ren answered " It has two meanings, the first 'Heavenly Body Bursting from the Earth', while the second is 'Catastrophic Planetary Devastation' "

Oobleck was the only one who felt the name is to arrogant and too overbearing. The others didn't feel anything as they were used to this.

After running a good distance they stopped and looked back toward Mesa. Mesa noticed that everyone made it to a safe distance, he decided it is time to start. Under the watchful eyes of his team, team RWBY, Oobleck and cinder's team, Mesa threw the ball. Everyone was surprised when they saw where Mesa threw his ball. The ball was sent flying to the sky directly above hole. Everyone widened their eyes at Mesa's ridiculously bad aiming.

Yang commented with opened eyes " I didn't know he is so f.u.c.k.i.n.g bad at aiming"

At the same time, Mercury also commented " What the? Is he blind?"

Suddenly, everyone was watching the Mesa and the grim opened their jaws, their eyes widened even more and their pupils shrank. They saw all the grim started to fly toward the ball in the sky, regardless if the grim was flying type or not, it started flying. The ball was pulling the grimms upwards. Then they felt the ground shaking, everyone had a bad feeling about this. The looks of surprise on their faces turned into fear once they saw what was happening. The pulling force was increasing by the moment. The train started to fly, the trees planted in the ground was pulled upward. In that moment, the entirety of Vale was shaking.

Glynda who was heading toward the south with group of last year students stopped in her tracks. She and her student starred in terror toward the south.

James Ironwood ,who was in his personal ship in Atlas's fleet, was staring through the window toward south market with pale face. He felt like he was watching a dream.

Ozpin stood in his office at the top of the tower, he dropped his mug on the ground as he stared with wide eyes at the sight before him.

In the south market, A huge army of grim were compressed into a ball flying in the sky. Between the sky and earth, a flying tree with many trees heading toward the grim. Once the train made contact with the grim, Vale's shaking increased. The ground burst out. Enormous rocks, a huge quantity of soil were heading toward the ball in the sky. Even the near building started cracking and flying to the sky.

In front of everyone eyes, a huge sphere was constructed by grimms, train, trees, building and earth in the sky flying. The sphere has a diameter of a 100m.

Once nothing flew up anymore, the sphere started to descend toward Vale. To be exact toward the south market where the whole appeared. Once the sphere his the ground, an earthquake occurred shaking everything in Vale. The sphere permanently sealed the hole and the tunnel.

Today, Mesa made everyone realise that they didn't know how strong his semblance truly is or what it can do.
