CHAPTER 3.1: GAME START

After the bus restarted, the lights on the bus became much brighter.

Everyone’s expressions were clearly visible. After what happened just now, no one on the bus was calm. Only the young man standing next to the driver’s seat seemed to have the same expression from the beginning to the end, always indifferent.

Now they were almost sure that the young man had facial paralysis. Unexpectedly, at this moment, he smiled.

The young man stood there lazily with the light on his head, but his back was straight. He stared down at the driver’s face. When he smiled lightly, the delicate Adam’s apple on his neck moved slightly.

When he withdrew his hand, he helped the female manager to brush the hair around her ears, and there was a glimmer of light in his eyes when he looked at her.

At that moment, Zhu Shuangshuang’s maternal instinct almost exploded.

She was also curious: “Does she really look that good?”

Ning Su looked at the driver’s face and said, “Well, she looks good. “

She should look good with meat. The eye sockets were large, and there was a pair of fresh, bloody eyes inside. Judging by the color of the blood, she probably had only plucked the eyes off from someone.

The lipstick on her lips was the red tongue of a snake, the eyelashes were thin black spider legs, and the long curly hair on the back was actually the black tentacles of an unknown creature—Miss Skull seemed to have really dressed up for this job.

The muscular man asked Ning Su what the driver looked like. After hearing Ning Su’s answer, the snake tongue on her lips stretched upwards, and she cracked a smile.

Two black creatures gushed out of her mouth.

    It’s a little bat.

There was a faint green light in their eyes as they stared straight at Ning Su, and there were bluish thorns on their wings.

Ning Su couldn’t describe their overly human expressions.

When the actor asked Ning Su to touch the driver’s face, the two little bats that flew to the skull’s forehead stretched their necks, and the lipstick on the skull’s lips trembled.

Ning Su’s little finger landed on the hair, which felt slippery to the touch. His thumb landed on the corner of her lips, and was immediately entangled by the “lipstick”, and a little bat bit his index finger.

Originally, Ning Su didn’t pay attention to them, but when he noticed that the blood vessels in his body were about to explode and were being sucked out by them, his eyes flickered.

Ning Su just let them suck.

The little bat was so full that it forgot that it could fly, and slid down from the forehead, along the cheeks and chin of the skeleton, and landed on the empty seat.

The snake’s tongue on the mouth also lost its strength and hung down obliquely from there in a daze.

Ning Su strangely saw “satisfaction” in their expressions.

He was silent for a moment.

Seeing that the tentacles, which were hairs, also showed signs of falling down, Ning Su stretched out his hand and dragged it, and stuck it on the only remaining piece of ear cartilage on the skull.

“Really? Then I’ll have a look.” The little Taoist stood up while leaning on the back of his chair.

“Ah” Ning Su tried to make way for him.

“No, you can just stand there.” As soon as Ning Su left the driver’s side, the little Taoist looked at her hair that looked like seaweed, and he suddenly didn’t dare to go there anymore.

He was the only one who had this kind of curiosity, while everyone else was suppressing their own.

After Ning Su sat down, the man in the suit who had only said one sentence stood up.

“Everyone should understand our current situation. Since there are only a few of us left, why don’t we talk about what shall be our next move? I don’t know about you, but I think we should first understand why and how we got on this bus.”

The man in the suit glanced at the few people on the bus. He really didn’t want to meddle in this situation, but seeing the people remaining - a high school student, a girl who looked like a college student, a boy who looked tiny and dull, and the last one who looked like a charlatan - he could only stand up and organize everyone.

“I’ll start first.” The man in the suit said. “My name is Ji Mingrui, and I’m the CEO of a real estate company. I was about to sign a contract before getting on the bus.” He paused and said, “There was a bus accident. A truck hit my bus, and I was here when I woke up.”

Zhu Shuangshuang believed his words, and she cooperated very well. She followed up by saying: “My name is Zhu Shuangshuang, and I am a sophomore at the Film and Television Academy. I’m also a screenwriter. I came home early in the afternoon and accidentally ran into a thief and was stabbed.”

The high school student raised his head. “Screenwriter, Zhu Shuangshuang? Talented screenwriter Zhu Shuangshuang?”

Zhu Shuangshuang nodded and said bitterly: “Just now, Fang Enke mentioned a zombie movie he acted in. I wrote the original script of that movie and sold it to their company.”

Hearing this, Ning Su, who had been in a daze, turned his head and glanced at her.

The man in the suit straightened his mouth and said, “Before we got on the bus, our lives were in danger. There’s a possibility that we might be all dead.”

The high school student said, “My name is Fang Qi, a senior high school student. I fought with my classmates and was pushed down from the roof of the teaching building.”

The little Taoist said: “My name is Su Xiangsheng, I am an orthodox Taoist priest, and I was beaten to death.”

No wonder the mood of the people on the bus was so irritable, it turned out that they were all just on the verge of death when they appeared here.

While thinking this way, Ning Su looked up and found that the eyes of the people on the bus were all on him.

They were waiting for him to also tell them about his circumstances before appearing here.

“My name is Ning Su, a jobless... wanderer.” Ning Su said in a serious voice. “I’m probably dead.”

“...”

The sadness that had just been condensed because of the awareness of their own death stopped for a moment.

The high school student said: “So, we should all be dead. According to superstition, we may be on the way to the underworld?”

The little Taoist priest Su Xiangsheng said with a smile: “Going to the underworld means being escorted by Black and White Impermanence. Are they so advanced over there that they even have a bus service?”

Ji Mingrui, the man in the suit, pinched the bridge of his nose, and said, “The electronic voice mentioned games. Maybe we, who should have died, were involved in a magical game, and there was still hope to get back our lives.”

What the other said seemed to have triggered something as that mechanical voice sounded again.

[Welcome players entering the survival game. Clear the game to get a new life. ]

[Now confirming the number of players about to enter the game and scanning the player data. ]

As soon as the electronic sound fell, Ning Su heard another voice inside his head that was much younger.

[System 9277 is at your service, scanning player Ningsu’s data. 】

No one on the bus looked at him. Ning Su was sure that only he could hear the voice.

    [Player Name: Ning Su]

    [Player Age: 23]

    [Physical Strength: 32/100]

    [Attack Power: --/100]

The voice faltered, as if something went wrong, and it took a while before continuing.

    [Intelligence Value: 87/100]

    [Vitality: 0.1/100]

    [? ]

[Alarm! Alarm! Player data is abnormal! 】

After the sound faltered for the second time, the immature voice issued urgent alarms one after another. But at this moment, the bus rushed out of the darkness, and a much louder mechanical sound covered it.

[No. Jin S90772, a total of five people entered the game base. 】
