Second Chance: Overlord

As they were riding the carriage through the road leading to the Sun Branch, Quinn Ni and Quinn Lan spoke about the issues concerning the family at the moment. It seems like their father Quinn Dan's health has been declining rapidly and nobody knows what the cause is. Even their best Healers and Pill Refiners can't seem to get a hint of the problem. So everyone has mostly set it on stone.

"That's why Quinn Lu has been trying to convince the Elders and other council members that he is to be the next Master of the Sun Branch. I've also tried to win them over, but cousin Lu is too well connected and has blackmailed many members…" Quinn Ni said as he explained the situation to Quinn Lan. It seems like even Quinn Lan doesn't have a very good impression of Quinn Lu it was very hard on him not being able to do anything about it.

"It seems like cousin Lu has once again began to work on his schemes, what a charlatan that damned womanizer!" Quinn Lan said punching the carriage handle slightly trying not to break it. He was angry, Quinn Lu has always been this way. Wasting money on woman even when his own mother was dying he ignored her. She could've been helped but since she threatened his acsencion to the Master position he let her die of her curable illness.

Xion had never seen his father act the way he was acting. Even less over family conflicts. This Quinn Lu must be quite a character, if he could make Quinn Lan forget of his Way of Life, that meant the man has crossed the line.

"Don't worry Big Brother, today we have a special healer coming from one of the top ten sects. 'Valley of Medicine Sect' it cost us a huge amount of precious artifacts to get the person here." Quinn Lan's face changed drastically so did Quinn Xiao's previously solemn face. Quinn Dan and Quinn Xiao had their differences but they had known each other and didn't have bad blood. So she was genuinely worried about her father-in-law. But as she heard Quinn Ni mention the 'Valley of Medicine Sect' she also hit a 180° change!

As they spoke about it, Xion noticed the cloaked driver man reacted in a suspicious way. Was he spying on his Uncle Ni?! What exactly was he trying to do?! Nothing had happened and Xion's patience kept thinning, like a thick string whose threads are coming loose quickly! If this asshole doesn't act in the next ten minutes Xion is more than ready to do it for him!

"Say, Uncle Ni. Where'd you get that cloaked rider from?!" Xion asked with a playful grin on his face. He wanted to see what the cloaked driver would do. Quinn Ni looked at the driver and when he noticed the strange aura he knew exactly what it was.

As soon as the driver noticed he was made he called out to the others following the carriage which were too far away for Xion to sense, so he was also caught by surprise! And what surprised him even more was how the cloaked drivers face suddenly shape-shifted.

"He he he! All of you assholes get out of the carriage this is a robbery!" The man who acted as the driver said. Now that his cloak was off Xion noticed how well built this man was. A buff body obviously someone who has dedicated everything to physical strength, scars that practically covered him. Also the man had a tattoo that went around his head and ended on his forehead somewhat like horns.

The others were similarly scarred, but we're thinner seemed like they all took the different paths of Martial Arts. There were about ten of them and they were surrounding the carriage, Xion was sure he could take the ones in front of him down, but there was somebody at the other side where Quinn Ni and Quinn Lan were that was stronger than Xion's most recent opponents!

It was someone of the 'King Realm'. Xion had previously thought that the cloaked person was the boss as he gave the orders. But, the man at the other side was obviously far stronger than this guy in front of him.

"Hurry up and take everything you have out, don't try and act smart by hiding your treasures we know rich people when we see them…." The man at the other side said, the ones in front of Xion went to try and pat Quinn Xiao down but, he was stopped and the bandit's wrist crushed into dust.

"Ahhhh… YOU!…." Before the man could finish Xion had broken all of his front teeth by enveloping his fist with his Demonic Aura which was ten times stronger than his own Cultivation State. As soon as the that cloaked bandit was knocked out cold Xion continued on his rampage, it was so fast that nobody could keep up.

"Hey!!! What the f.u.c.k is going on over there…?!" The man who seemed to be the real leader and on the King Realm asked as he ran around. How negligent he left Quinn Ni and Quinn Lan unattended and one bandit guarding them!

As soon as he arrived on Xion's side he choked at the scene. Even Quinn Xiao was shocked, her son was a beast. In the eyes of the King Realm bandit Xion couldn't have been the one who f.u.c.k.e.d up his underlings, Xion was just a boy.

"Analyze." Xion whispered.

Xion smiled at this bandit's potential. How f.u.c.k.i.n.g lucky of him to be able to be blessed with such outstanding potential. But, why was this man a bandit?! So strong, such high potential and such amazing growth. 'Ryu' he will always remember this name.

"Brat, the blood on your fists, the way your blue eyes are filled with such intensity and blood l.u.s.t, your a scary one even for me!" Ryu said as he tried to understand the situation. He couldn't sense even a bit of aura from this boy and Ryu was sure that the kid was at most fourteen years old maybe even younger.

"I'm glad that there's someone in this world that doesn't underestimate me. But, why is it…? That someone as powerful as Mr. Ryu and with such high potential acts as a bandit?!" Xion asked causing Quinn Xiao and Ryu himself to be extremely shocked. Ryu couldn't understand how this boy knew his name! Was he from the 'Heavenly Star Sect' as well?!

"Ha ha ha! I'm impressed you were able to deduce who I am! Are you after my bounty?! Are you from the Heavenly Star Sect?" Ryu asked as he tried to act tough. The brat in front of his was mysterious. As Ryu analyzed the boy he knew that Xion wasn't from the sect. So how did he know Ryu's name?!

"Nah, I just know who you are. I'm not really after you or anything like that! But, if you wanna fight I'll fight!" Xion said as he drew out his Wooden Sword ready to fight it out, but Ryu shook his head and smiled. He was just given a chance to scram if he didn't take it he'd be just as stupid as the day he joined that freaking Sect. Ryu wasn't as dumb as back then he wouldn't dare underestimate such a person again and the one in front of him now was even more terrifying!

"Alright kid, I'll be getting out of your way." Ryu said turning around for a tactical retreat. It seems like Ryu was smart, but there was one problem…

"Woah, woah woah!" Xion exclaimed as he walked towards Ryu. He extended his hand waiting for the latter to hand over something which had Ryu ultimately confused.

"What? I thought you said…" Ryu began saying but was interrupted by Xion.

"Yeah, you can go with your life intact but you are to leave all of your valuables behind! This is a 'Counter-Robbery!'." Xion said mockingly. Ryu thought he was about to leave unscathed! Well think again, trying to steal from the Great Xion?! Than let his greatness steal from you as a lesson!

"Your too arrogant! You think I'm afraid of you?!" Ryu had bloodshot eyes. It was fine to retreat tactfully. But, to be robbed by a child?! That was a no-no, he wasn't going to lose face right now! His gonna kick this child's a.s.s no matter what it took.

Suddenly the area got heavy and Ryu, Quinn Lan, Quinn Ni and Quinn Xiao could feel enormous pressure on their shoulders. They all looked at Xion Who was covered in a dark purple aura surrounding him. It was a pressure that even someone of the King Realm felt intimidated by, this was the work of 'Demonic Aura' at level 7.

Ryu looked at the boy with such monstrous pressure and once again realized he was balancing himself in a very thin thread. One more step and he would fall into despair and meet an untimely and cruel humiliation even worse than being robbed by a child!

"F…fine! Here!" Ryu said handing over his interspatial ring and then disappeared from sight as soon as he could move. Xion collected all the other stuff from the other bandits who were out cold and stored them on his inventory. He would take his time to analyze the contents later when he had time.

After the incident Quinn Lan patted Xion's head and Quinn Ni laughed heavily while Quinn Xiao looked at her son with eyes of worry. But, even so they were family, it didn't matter as long as they were all safe. Their son might be a little much, but they are truly happy about it! Knowing Xion can protect himself to such a degree means they could rest easy now!

And so they headed towards the Sun Branch once more.
