The boy then broke down into tears, as he then turned to face Alex.

"This all your fault! You're to blame! You've caused them all to go against me!" The boy shouted, venting all of his feelings and frustration on Alex.

Alex then sighs, as he looked at the boy with pity in his eyes. "You can't really blame me when you were the one who got yourself caught. Red-handed." He nonchalantly said, whilst flaunting his innocence around.

"You. You..."

The boy wasn't able to rebuke back at him, as he instinctively knows that it was true.

"Tch!" The boy loudly clicked his tongue.

"It's just not fair how you've guys just suddenly acquired weapons, out of nowhere, and we don't! It's just simply not fair! " The boy spoke to the entirety of the backend group.

This even includes John, Alex, and Peter within the group as well.

"That is because we were specifically chosen by the system. We had to suffer through emotional pain and mental attacks in order to awaken as a player." Alex then said with coldness in his eyes.

'Remembering what they did to my parents, and how they were treated. It strongly tears at my heart... I Hate Them. I completely hate them. I despise them even.' His thought lingers, the aura surrounding him exemplified his murderous tone.

"And you guys treat us like crap like we are a liability!" The boy tried to stand up to him, but it was hopeless, like a scared kitten standing up to a tiger.

"Well, that is because you are actually a liability. If you get bitten by a zombie, then you will become one as well." He coldly said in response to the boy's inquiry.

"This is so unfair!" The boy shouted in frustration, whilst blowing his top off.

 *Sigh*

Alex then gave a long sigh, as he took one last glance at the boy, before averting his gaze.

"Now beat it you brat! I don't want to dirty my own hands with your blood... I'm not outright cold enough to murder a child, but it doesn't that I won't chop off your hands the next time I caught you right-handed!" He said so in a serious tone, which furthers exemplifies his cold atmosphere.

"Why you..."

The boy didn't get a chance to finish his sentence when Alex then interrupted.

"I won't repeat myself again! Now Get Lost! Before I lose my patience!" He said so in great annoyance, trying his best to keep his cool, and not lose it.

Alex unconsciously tenses his left hand into a fist, to vent his frustration. His fingernails digging into his palm, flesh, and skin, causing it to bleed slightly, but Alex hardly felt a thing.

"Fine!" The boy shouted, as he upped and left the room.

The atmosphere soon returns back to normal.

However, the surviving players of the backend group, have now grown weary of each other. Each suspecting the other may not be up to something any good.

'I really hate little brats like that kid... It sort of made me remember something that I don't want to remember.' Alex thought to himself, as the incident sort of brought back some unnecessary memories.

The incident happened a couple of years ago. It sort of happened, without any warning, when Alex was suddenly assaulted by two white kids, and almost robbed.

It all started from a simple confrontation, as their eyes meet with each other. Shaun, a friend of John's, who was the intended target, that started it all.

Shaun was happily chatting with his friends, which Alex was a part of, as the two white kids passed by.

They were on their bikes, wearing black hoodies; one was quite tall, presumably nearing the end of his puberty, and the other is a small kid. Roughly, a couple of years younger than them, still in primary school.

But for some unknown reason, or it was Shaun who looked at them funny.

Shaun easily agitated the small white kid, which caused them to confront the group, at the time, was four, people including Alex as well.

However, it was because the tall kid to them at the time looked very menacing and strong. And none of them actually knew how to fight, and stand up for themselves.

"Hey, you! What are you looking at? Why are you looking at us funnily!" The small white kid shouted, having grown slightly pissed, for no typical reason.

"I, Uh..." Shaun then panics, not knowing what to say.

When the two white kids, walked up to him and confronted the group. Shaun then became hysterical, as he then shouted.

"Run!"

The four-man group then splits up, as they each run their own way. However, Alex and Shaun was immediately caught, and couldn't outrun them.

Alex and Shaun were forced back into the park, roughly around the edge of the park, which rarely has people walking by.

"What do we have here? You guys sure have some nice smartphones. An iPhone and a Samsung."

The little white kid then body searched the two boys, Alex and Shaun, as before they could snatch the iPhone off from him.

"Now give me the phone..."

Shaun then upped and left, as he sprinted away, desperately, like his life depended, whilst leaving Alex behind.

"Shaun!" Alex then shouted beckoning for his friends call.

However, Shaun then left him to fend himself. Whilst, using him as a scapegoat.

"Looks like your friend has run off and abandoned you. Now hand over your Samsung smartphone!" The little white kid said, with greed gloating in his eyes.

"Never!" Alex attempted to stand up for himself, but he was immediately shut down.

"Looks like you want a serious beating kid!" The much taller white kid said as he threatens Alex, with an evil smug look on his face.

He rapidly approaches Alex, with his right first raised. He punches Alex straight in the face, near towards his left eye.

Alex then staggers backwards, becoming slightly disorientated, now seeing stars.

"You should have listened, and hand over your valuables." The taller kid said, about to throw another punch.

However, two muscular black guys, who were seated on a bench, not so far away, has witnessed the whole ordeal. And they were immediately shocked, questioning what they were seeing.

The two muscular black guys then hurriedly run over, attempting to stop a mugging in motion.

"That is enough!"

"Now, kid, it's best you leave and get to safety."

One of the two muscular black guys stepped in, they both intervene. Whilst, one we're blocking the two white kids, the other one went to check up on Alex.

'I have to get out of here.' It was Alex first thought, as he runs for his life, desperately through the narrow trees in the park, to the outer edge of the park, to the exit.

Stamping through a pile of leaves, as mud and dirt cover his shoe. Muddy water splashed onto his black pants.

In the end, he was extremely tired, panting heavily, gasping airs. As tears dribbled down the side of his cheeks.

He runned all the way, reaching the Hyde Road, where there were a lot of people. Only now stopping at the traffic crossing lights.

It was the first time he ever got jumped, where he truly feels that his life was threatened. His heart was pounding, filled with worry.

As the thoughts of 'will, they come after me. They now know which school I go to. Am I safe?'

These thoughts keep lingers with inside his head, as he is unsure of his safety.

So in order to reassure himself, Alex always carries a craft knife, with him, for two weeks, out of paranoia. Since he was an Art student, doing an art course, for many years.

He was quite familiar with how to utilise a craft knife, carrying it inside his pocket. With his A3 sketchbook in his hand, with his art supplies.

....

Alex instinctively raised his left hand up, touching his left eye region, unconsciously.

Although the pain has long since vanished, the black eye bruises have long since healed. Though the mental trauma incurred from the incident still remains.

It has little to no effect on his life. Completely reduced to nothing more than a bad memory, that he doesn't want to remember.

'Somehow, that haughty kid is giving off vibes that made me remember that incident... I really want to beat the f.u.c.k off that kid, back then.' Alex thought, feeling slightly irritated.

However, whilst Alex was touching his eye, reminiscent of that time he got jumped. The blood from him tightening his grip too hard, that his fingernails pierced his skin, starts to smeared over his cheeks.

"Alex! Are you alright!" John cried out in alarm, seeing the fresh red blood on the side of his friend's cheeks.

"What?" Alex then responded with a nonchalant look on his face, clearly confused on what's going on with John's immediate reaction.
