The fires started to die out as the rain started to pour and the ground started to dampen. The fires of the normal field started to liven up and regrow.

The devastated driards’ weapon and equipment started to be restored as the rain touched its surface. The rain was a blessing to all living things on earth.

Although it is said that fire wins water, this was not any ordinary water.

These droplets dampened me as though I was wearing clothes made out of water…yes, it was the equivalent of a potion liquid.

The sap of the world tree. Somehow it felt like I could hear the mine dwarves laughing in my head.

Instinctively I could guess the origin of the sap. Somehow I couldn’t help laughing. This was a skill only Elder and I had?

The blessed rain, which was a result of the combined powers of Elder and myself. The only reason why it was able to put out the fire was the particular power of the driard.

That power was melting my diamonds and pouring down like rain.

Elder, I guess your obsession over my diamond was it your instinct?

I had been envious of people using their cash to buy a buffer in a game’s final round, but now all that was unnecessary. Nothing could be better than using the cash as a skill itself.

I had endless diamonds that I could provide with this skill. For a normal druid other than myself, they would only have been able to create the rain once off.

The driards came to their senses from the heavy rain and started to attack the weakened fire together.

The unique level fire that seemed impossible to defeat was instantly taken out by teamwork, then finally the attack focused on the final boss fire, the carriage.

The driards no longer averted the lava spluttered by the carriage. Even when they came in contact with the lava, the rain recovered them instantly. Even Mesquite put her shield aside and fully concentrated on attacking the carriage with her lens.

Unlike its initial fierce appearance, with the collective attack, the carriage fire was as easily taken out like a fire by the fireplace with a bucket of water.

The fire disappeared after leaving a bunch of diamonds behind.

From a place deep within I started to feel a strong sense of energy…Daisy who was standing a distance away was enveloped entirely by a white light.

The firewall disappeared like a curtain falling to the ground.

The exhausting raid finally came to an end.

***

Daisy who was enveloped by a dazzling light. It was the same as what had happened when she bloomed at the orchard.

Red petals that were decorated by water droplets danced around rhythmically and disappeared together with the light.

I blinked my eyes and suddenly my level of vision was higher. Someone had come run towards me, lifted me, and was spinning me around.

The bright giggling sound told me who this person was.

I had hugged and spun you around like this when you had first become my driard.

I lost my focus causing the rain to stop. The last droplets that had fallen from the sky hung in the air.

The droplets glistened in the gentle breeze. The dark clouds rolled away and the clear sky shined down on the droplets, making them shine and sparkle like jewels. The child smiling in front of me was also sparkling.

She was a very small child, but she was almost the same height as me. Even so, there were signs of her old self that made me nostalgic.

Not yet an adult but maybe a teenager? Daisy tried to show off her height and showed off that she could lift me.

“I’m still shorter than you, druid, but I am stronger now! I can wipe out fires more easily! I’ll continue to grow from now. I’m so happy I can protect you more safely now!”

Where we stood was the only bright field of flowers amongst the burns out surrounding. I was so proud of Daisy who had grown up so fast.

“You’ve grown. It’s good to see. Guess I can no longer refer to you as a seedling?

Mesquite brushed away the ash off her lens and commented as she returned from the battle. Elder took back his stick from me and made a bitter face whilst looking around.

He must know what the rain was made of.

“My original skill would only have caused a fog…”

He lifted his hand and grabbed the rain droplet hanging in front of him. The droplet burst and was absorbed by Elder’s hand.

His fruitless act of trying to grab something he couldn’t, combined with his wet and pretty face made him look weak and devastated, making me picture a single surviving flower in a field.

“To make it rain…just how much diamond do you have?”

Elder asked with a low voice. Don’t try to find out you’ll get hurt. Your mind will not be able to withstand it.

Asking ‘how much’ was poorly phrased. It was not countable. It was endless. Endless amount of diamonds. I bet it’s been a while since the dwarves worked hard like this.

“You’ve made this whole area scared. A fire won’t even be able to come near this area for a while.”

“It’s the first time I’ve seen such power. If it was the Elderflower I met before, he would be showing off right now. That driard was proud and always trying to endlessly show off his great presence.”

After the chaotic battle, the driards answered while returning to their druid.

As they returned they carefully cradled the rain droplet in their hands or reached out a finger and touched it.

“The water has already dried up. What a shame. It was a great feeling being refreshed by it. The flowers on my wing’s branch had bloomed. It felt like I was back with the world tree. This is impossible for seedling no matter how much energy he uses. So are you okay, druid?”

“Did…your druid….pass out? This is the equivalent…of pouring thousands of positions…from the sky… She must have used up…an equivalent amount of life energy….in place of the sap…”

Mellow answered as he stood frozen, afraid to collide with the rain droplets that were hanging in the air.

It was a contrast to Kadon, who was running around like a dog with his mouth open wide, trying to collect the rain droplets in his mouth. Belladonna came towards me after hearing Mellow.

“I may not have the ability to heal, but I can detect physical pain or damage in the body faster than anyone else. If you’re comfortable with it, can I help you see if you’re okay? Even a healer driard won’t be able to restore the drained life energy of a druid. If the situation is serious…”

“I’m good. I’m fine.”

I am fine. I leveled up a lot so my fatigue has disappeared. The only thing I’ve used up are my diamonds. I feel like the dwarves that have completed all stages of the game, would have refilled the diamonds I’ve just used up.

Belladonna didn’t seem to believe my reply.

The only one who seemed to believe my words was Daisy. She seemed like she wanted to express that everything was okay as long as I was okay, as she continued to hug me and moved around like a flower swaying side to side.

“That’s impossible. The level of this graft would have been impossible with just the driards’ powers. Leave it to Belladonna. You don’t have to be afraid, her powers are different from the evil ones of her natural state.

I said I’m okay so who are you to say I’m not. And who says I’m afraid. Do I look like a kid scared to go to the hospital or something? I mean I may not like injections, but still.

“Are you sure you didn’t use up your life energy. The rain wasn’t even something like a sap. It probably was the actual thing right? Since Mesquite said that a diamond was the solidified form of the world trees sap that escapes it during transpiration.”

“Did you just say…diamonds?”

Belladonna asked while Mellow who overheard cowered even more. Elder sighed. He made an expression of someone who was facing something he wanted to avoid.

[My owner! Look at this!]

[Owner! Are you going to use more diamonds?]

They are so timely. How did they know I was referring to the diamonds in my conversation. Even my Siri wasn’t this good.

Did the dwarves install a listening device next to my mouth or something? This was exactly why I refrained from using the word diamond.

I looked at my phone where the dwarves were struggling to push away the Stonehenge window. As if they were intruding. How were they able to push the system window on their own like that?

<The endless diamond> game screen replaced the Stonehenge window and started to appear bit by bit.

The diamond cart seemed a little…different from the last time I saw it. It looked like an illegally manufactured car.

This is the first time I’m seeing this cart. A large tap was installed in the middle of the cart. And below the tap, it was connected to my diamond safe underground via a large rubber hose.

[Owner! We are ready!]

[Owner! Please use more like just now!]

[Owner! We toppled the cart because you requested so much just now! But now you can take as much without toppling the cart!]

[Owner! Why didn’t you use the diamonds when you could take this much? Please take more!]

…They’re asking me to use diamonds like water from a tap…I didn’t know I would be greeted with this. I didn’t know they would install a tap on it. To imagine, a diamond that flows from a tap.

“Are you saying that the source of the rain just now…were diamonds?”

Belladonna asked again with more emphasis as I stared speechlessly at my phone with the dwarves. Soon Seedling’s other driards overheard the conversation.

What? Didn’t they say diamonds? Why does a diamond come from there? The driard must have thought they heard wrongly as they discussed.

“It should be the diamonds. Ah, looking closely the numbers decreased. So it is the diamonds.”

The number in the ten thousand units was no longer there and replaced by a nine in the thousandth unit. The dwarves opened the tap and the diamonds started to rush out from the underground safe. Now the number returned to a nice.

The dwarves started pumping and displayed how the diamonds were being pumped up.

They tried to appeal to me to take more diamonds and showed off their newly established system. They even explained while pointing to the rubber hose in case I didn’t understand.

Do it again, do it again. The eyes of the dwarves seemed to twinkle.

“All these rain droplets….they are the power of…the diamond…?

Yes yes. It was the result of my synergy with Elder and the price of losing the digit of ten thousand units. Elder shut his eyes as if to show that he didn’t want to hear any more of this. My positivity made Mellow’s face turn blue just like his name.

“My level is…not great, the size of my soul may be smaller than you.”

I rubbed my thumb and index finger together.

“But I have a lot of this. A lot. How does it feel to be showered down by rain created from diamonds? Do I still look small to you?”

I looked at Seedling right in the eye and spoke with emphasis. I may be a novice but I was a democratic novice. I’ve grown and grown well on my own, so you should mind your own business.

“This is the first time I saw a druid that has more diamonds than Seedling.”

“Diamond collected all these diamonds by wiping out fires and taking on requests…but the power from the battle just now was beyond our scale. It was the rain of life. The druid’s graft made it rain. In this wide field. For a long time.”

Elder who continuously tried to shut out the conversation seemed pitiful so I showed him my phone screen to cheer him up. Elder, look here. He looked at me with a ‘so what’ kind of look.

Don’t you see this? The stack of diamonds and the dwarves that are eager to turn on the tap. This should look like a black credit card to you.

Your card is ‘BLACK’. Use it infinitely.

“What about the wallet?”

“Can’t you see? You seem a little down so I wanted to show you your favorite thing.”

“It’s just a black screen.”

What? Am I the only one who can see the  <endless diamonds> page?

This was unexpected. I tapped on Elder’s shoulder. He sensed what I was getting at and bent down with an annoyed look.

“What?”

I grabbed Elder’s hood…put my wallet in it…and shook it.

Shake it. The dwarves were eagerly pumping and the diamonds overflowed out and into the hood.

“Good work on the graft. This is a present! Don’t be upset that I used it on the rain! I still have a lot of diamonds so tell me whenever you want more!”

Elder grabbed his heavily filled hood with both hands with a look of disbelief. Still, the corners of his mouth were going up.

Ya, you should smile more. You look the prettiest when you smile.

“You can have all the diamonds from wiping out that boss carriage. As you can see, I’m loaded with them already. Take it all and let’s part ways.”

Kadon’s face turned white after witnessing what I did for Elder. As for Elder, as expected of him, he looked longingly at the reward from the boss carriage.

Come one, when will we pick all those up? Let’s keep them busy picking up the diamonds and head for the 28th terrarium.

Before Seedling butts in and blocks our way.
