The Blind Saint

Chapter 1 - The Journey

Today is the first time Tian Yi had decided to return the mortal realm ever since his abandonment he personally had no reason to return. It could be said to be a form of morbid curiosity after all the time flow between realms was massive each year in the mortal realm was said to last at least a thousand in the immortal realm. 35 years would be how old he would be considered if he had stayed in this realm Tian Qi had already decided that he would be going back to his birth place, as It was only right for one to do after such a great length of time had past.

The Xian continent the home of main branch of the Tian family. As far as he read today would be the celebration of the patriarchs 50th year of life. Although he had lived most of his life as a hermit he had made sure to store all his memories of the mortal realm in the deepest part of his mind as to never forget them as they reminded him of when life had been so simple. Often during chess match between the true divine king Ye Su he would be teased for being too sentimental for my own good but maybe that was just something that separated me from the rest of my kind the ability to truly accept myself.

As Tian Yi passed through the divine gate leading he began to feel his connection with the time in the mortal realm begin to slow as if the passing of second was merely an illusion to the eye.

It had seemed to Tian Yi that he had been able to reach his intended destination as he currently stands before the great nine heavens academy an odd name for an academy that sits in the mortal realm but he did not mind after all he could not blame mortals for their ignorance, as it was the greatest academy in the mortal realm it must feel like heaven to those who come here maybe it is the closest they may ever get to experiencing true cultivation although that is not truly why Tian Yi had returned as such a simple thing as a mortal academy could not attract his interests no what has brought him to this academy was his young blood relative Tian Yisu his Niece currently decided to attend this academy to become a great cultivator. Tian Yisu was quite the prodigy at least for mortal standards... He really must stop sounding so stuck up really all that time in the immortal realm has really messed with my head.

As he currently did not wish to be interrupted Tian Yi have decided to keep himself hidden with they Asura mystic stance (shadow dance) allowing him to merge his Body and mind with shadows that cover the earth and travel through them at his fee will although the technique wasn't exactly perfect as it would be easily noticed by higher cultivators it would do.

As Tian Yi passed through the gates of the academy he could see a hundred or so students lined up outside. Each of the students looked as if they are all beaten with a stick and left to dry in the hot summer like dirty clothing a rather weird comparison but a fair one to use for such a situation. He had personally experienced this situation himself the first time he had entered an academy in the higher realms. The kind of academy which drives a wedge between students each of whom madly craving power for their own selfish need to climb the hierarchy of the academy academy with cultivators at the top who receive all the best attention and gain the greatest help with there martial journey leaving those at the bottom to scramble for the chance to rise. Tian Yi had no doubts these students must be the rejects the low of the low those who are stuck at the bottom and are merely used as stepping stones by the academy to better younger cultivators.

As he walked toward the students Tian Yi decided to release the Asura mystic stance (shadow dance) so he could easily be visible to to the mortal eye. His looks had never been particularly special, Tian Yi had even at times been compared to those of the lower realm with my dull blue eyes and thin pale body rapped loosely in grey robes. Tian Yi was always a man of simple taste so he personally saw no problem with this although he did one thing that truly stood out his pure white hair that glowed radiantly in the sun.

As Tian Yi finally came into vision of the students he was greeted with what he could only imagine to be looks of disgust and hatred he cringed inwardly at the lack of kindness in their hearts. They must have mistaken Tian Yi for a student as even after all the time in the immortal realm he had managed to retain most of his youthful looks he must look at the most between the ages of 16-18 or so he had been told.

Suddenly a voice could be heard yelling for the students to get in line a new presence it seemed must be a teacher he decided he would play along after all what better way to meet his niece than to meet as a fellow student.
