Chapter 79: Kanade’s Delusion

“…How wonderful. It looks like so much fun.”

Kanade murmured as she looked at the photos that had been sent to her.

The photos sent by Hayato depicted Arisa and Aina, pressed closely against his waist, their voluptuous bodies in perfect harmony.

“Oh my, they truly seem to be having a great time.”

“Yes.”

Sumire, who was sitting beside Kanade, said with a smile, peering into the photos.

In general, whenever Hayato was involved, Arisa and Aina seemed to exude an even greater allure, almost terrifying in its sensuality.

Though it was through the lens of a photograph, the magnetism emanating from the two of them clinging to Hayato’s body was still astonishing.

“They’re apparently giving him a back massage.”

“…That’s quite an unconventional way of massaging.”

Normally, massages were performed using hands, but these two were using their ample bosoms for the task… Regardless of how it came to be, any ordinary man who witnessed such a sight would shed tears of envy.

“Since they went out on a trip, I hope they recharge their spirits properly. Hayato-kun and the others will soon be in their final year, which will undoubtedly be a busy time for them.”

Masaki, who was sitting across from them, chimed in.

Indeed, the third year of high school is a time of heightened busyness and challenges.

While it’s unclear what paths Hayato and the girls will choose for their future, they have undoubtedly formed unbreakable bonds, so there seems to be no need to worry about that part.

“However, well. Next time, they should definitely come to our house… Huh?”

Just as Masaki was about to continue his sentence, the doorbell rang.

While it was a natural indication of a visitor, Masaki tilted his head in confusion since they hadn’t made any specific plans to meet with anyone.

Sumire stood up and checked the camera footage, letting out a surprised exclamation.

“It’s father and mother-in-law.”

“…”

It seemed that the grandparents had arrived, and among them, Kanade showed the most significant reaction.

She used to be a girl who would happily welcome her grandparents into the house, but now, due to Hayato, her reaction was completely the opposite.

“I’ll go out for a bit.”

“Sure.”

The previously joyful atmosphere had completely dissipated, and Kanade’s expression seemed to suggest that the intruders had come to disrupt the pleasant time they were having, as if those who came were trespassers. Masaki sighed and spoke to Kanade with a wry smile.

“Kanade, can’t you see your grandfather and grandmother in a friendly light anymore?”

“Of course not. It’s impossible, absolutely impossible… I don’t even want to see them.”

It was a clear rejection.

From Masaki’s perspective, it was saddening that his daughter didn’t have a good relationship with her grandparents.

However, considering what they had done, he could understand Kanade’s feelings.

(I can never forgive them for making Onii-san sad… Never… Absolutely never.)

It was an indelible hatred.

It was an emotion she was never supposed to possess, but it had emerged within Kanade after meeting Hayato.

Even for a kind-hearted girl like Kanade, it was unavoidable for her to prioritize the person she loved above all else… And so, once she fell in love with Hayato, it was only natural for her to hold hatred towards those who had caused him pain.

“I’m going back to my room.”

“Ah.”

Kanade was about to return to her room, but her grandfather appeared in the living room with a commotion, making loud footsteps.

“Kanade! Grandpa came to see you!”

Kanade looked at him with a cold gaze, wondering if he had forgotten her previous rejection.

They seemed to have entered the house without giving any details to Sumire, displaying a lack of manners. But they were family, so perhaps it couldn’t be helped.

“I don’t want to talk.”

“…Kanade? What’s wrong?”

At that point, it was clear that Kanade had no thoughts left for them.

“Kanade, what’s really going on? Did we do something?”

When her grandmother asked that question, Kanade briefly glanced at her. Her gaze was piercing and filled with coldness, causing her grandmother to flinch and avert her eyes from Kanade.

“Well then.”

As Kanade was about to leave the living room, Sumire lightly placed her hand on Kanade’s shoulder.

She silently requested her support, but with a resolute rejection, Kanade slammed the door shut.

“…Sigh.”

As soon as she returned to her room, Kanade let out a deep sigh.

In truth, she wanted to say whatever she pleased, to express strong words wishing for those who had caused suffering to her beloved Hayato to be tormented and perished.

However, if she were to do so, it could lead to resentment towards Hayato.

“…”

If they were to do something to Hayato again, just the thought of it made her fist naturally clench.

Feeling the pain as her nails dug into her flesh, as if leaving a mark, she snapped back to reality. But it only emphasized the intensity of Kanade’s anger.

Sitting on the bed, she brought up a picture of her and Hayato together on the screen.

“…Onii-san♪”

Seeing Hayato’s face like this, the flames of anger that had been smoldering in Kanade’s chest subsided, and she couldn’t help but laugh at how simple-minded she was.

As she gazed at the photo in this manner, she received a phone call from Aina.

“Aina-san?”

“Hey there, Kanade-chan!”

Kanade let out a smile upon hearing Aina’s cheerful voice from the other end of the line.

“What’s up?”

“Oh, nothing special. I just wanted to hear Kanade-chan’s voice. And for some reason, I felt like I had to convey something to Kanade-chan.”

“Ah…”

Perhaps she had sensed Kanade’s unstable heart, that’s what Kanade thought. But it seemed to be true, and it made her happy.

Not only Hayato, but Aina and the others also care about Kanade. Among them, Aina is a significant presence for Kanade and has guided her in various aspects regarding Hayato.

“…”

Memories of the time she visited their house before resurfaced, and a certain part of her body grew warm subtly.

However, Kanade pretended to remain composed, not wanting to let her notice.

“Well, I was curious too, but it seems Hayato-kun was curious as well. That’s why I called you, Kanade-chan.”

“So Onii-san was curious too.”

The anger that had been completely held within her heart vanished.

Her grandparents were still in the house, and her parents might persistently ask what her attitude was all about. Kanade felt sorry for Aina and the others who supported her, but it was much better to focus on Hayato and the others than to think about irrelevant people like her grandparents.

“Next time, let’s go out together, Kanade-chan, okay?”

“Yes! Please, I’m looking forward to it!”

Kanade made such a promise.

After that, they exchanged words, saying they would call each other again at night, and the phone call ended. Kanade hugged her smartphone to her chest and smiled genuinely with joy.

“Ahh, I really love spending time with Aina-san and everyone, including Onii-san.”

Sometimes, she couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if they were all going to the same school.

In truth, Masaki had suggested transferring to Hayato and the girls’ school, but Kanade found it hard to inconvenience everyone to that extent, even though she found the idea appealing. She didn’t want to waste the high amount of money that had been paid, and above all, she didn’t want to lose the time spent with the friends she had made at her current school.

“That’s why, when we can meet, I’ll ask Onii-san to spoil me a lot… and, if possible, do various things with him too… hehehe ♪”

Blushing cheeks, Kanade laughed cutely, but the fantasies playing in her mind were far from innocent.

Kanade’s way of thinking had similarities to Aina, so her fantasies were also similar to Aina’s, which means… well, to put it simply, they were quite lewd fantasies that contradicted her delicate appearance.

“Onii-san… Onii-san… m-more…”

If it was just fantasizing, she was free to do so, and there was nothing to lose. So Kanade immersed herself in her fantasies, completely forgetting about her grandparents.

However, if asked whether she could be satisfied with just fantasies like this, the answer would be no. The more she imagined, the stronger her desire grew to actually do those things with Hayato in reality, and it was inevitable.
