As I opened my eyes again my first words where „Dammit I lost again"

My mother who was also in my room wanted to say something but Neria charged in

„Is he still sleeping?" she said and saw me with my eyes open

„So you are awake? Good do you even know what you have done?"

She wanted to begin but I interruped her

„How should I know? After all the last thing I remember is cutting down mum"

I replied and before either of us could say anything my mother opened her mouth

„It´s nice to see how well you two get along but for now let me say something. Val this attack you used was truly powerful and I personally think that if I wasn´t a vampire with an extremly high regeneration rate I would not be standing before you and I would go as far as to say you could kill a Rank 9 monster with this attack. But the usage of all your reserves is to dangerous in the open field you never know where the next enemy is waiting. Also you caused considerable damage in the enviroment but I personally don´t think that this is the biggest problem here."

She paused and Neria and I looked at her awaiting the even worse problem of my attack

„But how could you cut your own mother down with such an attack this could have seriosly killed me!"

She said and I needed to admit that I went a little bit overkill

„Well I deseratly wished to win at least one time against you before leaving the village" I laughed and Neria jumped in

„This isn´t a reason to destroy 80% of the training ground" at this remark I froze ,How much did I destroy?' as I got up and walked out followed by my mother and Neria.

I walked to the training ground and could only shout „HOLY SHIT did really I did this?"

After I shouted Neria began her lecture and my and Nerias mother began talking about something through I can imagine the content of the converation.

In the end it was already noon as we prepared our departure and nearly everyone came to say goodbye

„Val keep an eye on my daughter" Nerias mother began but her father interupted

„And if you make her cry I will hunt you to the end of the world you…"

A hit in the flank knocked him out „Don´t mind him"

The preparator of this hit Nerias mother said and we talked a while on the otherside Neria got a similar talk with my parents but without a rude interuption.

But on her facial expression I could easily tell what my mother said to her and yeah if I could I would stop her which was impossible right now as Nerias mother had a smile as if she could read my thoughts and her eyes were saying ,Let them be if you want to leave in the next few days'.

As Aldrion and Berlic came to me wishing me good luck and even Sulian who usually didn´t left his home came to me

„Boy, I want to entrust you with this gauntlet I integrated a shield into it which can come out if you wish for it"

He handed me the gauntlet which I switched with the one on my left arm and immedianly tested it out and a round shield appeared out of the gauntlet and disappeared as I released the mechanism „Thanks old man I will treasure it" I thanked him and he replied

„You better do as it is my masterpiece" in a proud tone.

Afterwards Neria and I got many wishes for luck and in the end both our parents or on Nerias part only her mother as her father was still knocked out talked to us

„Neria please keep an eye on this fool of mine" my father said to which she replied

„Of course I will do so. Can´t let him go lose. I don´t want to imagine what catastrophes he would cause"

I interrupted her for this remark „Hey I only destroyed a bit of the training ground and you say I will cause disasters because of this?!"

As I finished my sentence we began to argue about that and our mothers laughed at this sight

„If they keep going on like this our grandchild will soon see the light of this world" Nerias mother said

„Yeah it won´t be to long. Hey both of you. You have our blessings so you can cut lose but we want to see the endproduct of it" my mother continued and I as well as Neria went quiet and looked at our mothers in a little shock

„How comes this funny idea?" I asked them and Neria supported me

„Yeah where comes this from?"

But our mothers only said „You will see soon enough" with a smile as we thought we couldn´t deny any other words we decided to leave and ran as fast as we could.

„Dammit how do they do they think of such funny thoghts?" I questioned Neria but she got arroused and didn´t say anything and so I decided to change the topic

„Anyways how is your equipment?" I asked her

She wore nearly the same equipment as me because Sulian used the same beasts for it he only difference was that hers made it obvious that she was a mage and instead of a sword she had a staff made out of dragonbone.

„It´s frithening how perfectly it fits but it is truly good" she said and the turned to me

„Thank you for your hard work Val" she thanked me and our talk went on. As the sun rose to her cenit we left the forest in which we both grew up for the very first time.

„So this is it huh" Neria said and looked at the sighed before our Eyes

We where near the central region of the Orbaume Kingdom but still on the territory of the Johan duchy and so we decided to went to Mirialak a city which was a bastion of Aldas peaceful fraction which accepted the races of Vida and wouldn´t treat me as a monster as I was still a dhampir.

We so walked to the highway and followed the sign which leaded the way to our destination. On our way we encountered an incredible amount of goblins but they died before they could even jump at us.

„What the heck why are here so many goblins?" I asked and even Neria was concerned about this

„I wonder too normally novice adventurers would exterminate them but this is beyond anything I heard of"

And even during our talk we encountered Goblins and we came to a conclusion a Goblin King must have been born and been ignored by the guild or the guild didn´t know about that yet.

„We should search for a village and ask about this goblins" I said and Neria gave her ok and so we run to our very first adventure without being actual adventureres.
