Chapter 3: Ruining young love

For the successful vicious female character Xia Yao, how good Ji Huai was, she could talk endlessly for three days and three nights.
For Xia Yao, who had recently awakened her self-awareness, how good Ji Huai was, she could only ask one thing: was he better than her studies?
In “The sweetheart of the three big bosses”, Xia Yao had liked Ji Huai frantically and genuinely. Knowing that he hadn’t liked her at all and only had her sister in his heart, she had run rampant, head broken and blood flowing1.
She had pestered the boy and followed him wherever he had gone, unable to understand that he had hated her and sticking to his side no matter how indifferent and fierce he had been to her, until she had not had anything at all2 in the end.

Xia Yao kicked a stone beside her foot towards Xia Xi. Whether she had awakened her consciousness or not, she really hated this good white lotus heroine.
“Xia Yao, don’t go too far! Why do you always bully your classmates every day after school?” After she scolded, Xia Xi turned to the boy in white: “I apologize, classmate, I didn’t expect my sister to act like this. I didn’t take care of her enough, I’m so sorry…”
Her eyes were full of grievances and guilt, as she had been the one beating people up in the street. Ji Huai faintly glanced at this girl who had appeared out of nowhere and thought that the two sisters really didn’t look alike at all.

When Xia Yao heard her, she felt happy and chuckled. She walked further on her delinquent path and kicked another stone towards Zhan San who was trying to get up, before looking at Xia Yi with contempt: “Are you my mother or my father and have to watch over me? And by the way, this isn’t the way home, dear sister. Can you tell me why you followed me here?”
“I…” Xia Xi was stunned for a moment but lied casually, “I naturally followed you because you never come home with me. I am so worried about you.”
Oh.
Did she think she couldn’t see the phone in her hand? Xia Xi followed her every day after school to take pictures of how she beat people, before going home and giving a tearful report to their brother. The situation after that was rather obvious.
“Then I must thank you sister for your concern.” Xia Yao tilted her head and smiled, “You don’t need to take pictures of me, I already know how good I look when I beat up people. You don’t have to go home and share them with Brother either, he would misunderstand me.”
“Sister, you…”
She had secretly followed Xia Yao dozens of times on weekdays but had never gotten caught. She had not expected Xia Yao had been aware all along and felt like a clown…
“Don’t call me sister so affectionately, it makes me sick.” Xia Yao rolled her eyes and took a few steps forward. Xia Xi instinctively backed away; for some reason, Xia Yao’s eyes were so sharp today and she looked different.
No, she was merely caring about her younger sister and wanted her brother to know about her daily whereabouts.

Xia Yao stood still in front of Ji Huai and faintly looked at him, resisting the urge to not roll her eyes at him too.
Ji Huai watched the beautiful girl come closer and guessed the relationship between the two sisters was not good yet wasn’t able to think of why. He opened his mouth but before he could say anything, he heard a noise.
Xia Yao caught Zhang San off guard and her voice became softer: “Tell us, why are you being beaten up? Tell the truth and you can leave.”
The threatening meaning of that kick was immediately washed away by her gentle tone.

At this time, their leader Xu Yinuan was looking at Ji Huai too and had forgotten the current plot, leaving the little white flower the opportunity to break through her grasp. She was wearing a dirty white dress and she rushed and stumbled to Zhang San, crying: “Please, let Senior Zhang and I go! We love each other sincerely! He doesn’t like sister Yuanyuan! If you separate us, you will destroy our love~”
She had grabbed Zhang San’s green-colored glasses as she ran, this might really be true love.
Zhang San was also bewitched by Xia Yao’s fake gentle tone and said as he wiped his glasses on the skirt of his girlfriend: “I liked Yuanyuan at first but she is too strong! She always spied on me and didn’t allow me to flirt with other girls! Who can like a girl like her?”
“…” Don’t stop me, I need to keep kicking a jerk like him!
Xia Yao sighed. She covered her ears and said: “Shut up!”
The scumbag was so scared she stopped talking and shuddered. Xia Yao gave the couple a blank look; she was so angry she felt another kick would only dirty her shoes. She waved her hand and looked back at the pigtailed girl carrying the camera: “Sweet Sister, is the video recorded? Let’s call it a day.”
Sweet Sister made an Ok gesture: “All done. It was for sure a blessing in disguise for Yuanyuan to be dumped by such a bastard. She will be very relieved after watching it.”
[Host, the time has come. Please leave the scene and show up at home before 19:00. Be sure to complete the plot of “The sweetheart of the three big bosses”.]
The system sounded in Xia Yao’s head. She had already understood that the system was just urging her to appear at a specific time and place but wasn’t restricting her behavior. And since she wasn’t restricted, she could study with confidence.

After the girls left, noticing Ji Huai was also moving, Xia Xi stopped him: “I am sorry to let you witness my sister’s behavior. My sister is always like this, I will be sure to tell my brother as soon as I get home.”
Ji Huai pursed his lips and suddenly thought of what the other girl had said: “Can you lend me your phone?”
Xia Xi’s eyes lit up and she stroked her hair around her ear with one hand, making sure her prettiest side was turned his way. She had not expected things would develop so fast; it was only their first meeting but he was already asking for her number!
Her heart was full of joy but she handed her phone casually and said: “My family’s education is very strict. I don’t usually use my phone much but if you are the one texting me, I will definitely reply as soon as possible.”
Ji Huai glanced at her with a smirk and discreetly opened the gallery. In all the duck-face selfies, he noticed the “Delinquent sister” album at a glance. He looked through it and it was full of pictures of Xia Yao beating up people. He had to admit that… she looked very handsome.

Xia Xi stared at the young man smiling and pink bubbles appeared up in her heart. She took the phone back with happiness and wanted to say something, but Ji Huai had already left. Forget it, as long as she had his number, they would definitely meet again in the future.
However, when she clicked on her contacts, the smile on her face froze; there was no new entry.

Ji Huai felt that the beautiful girl had done nothing wrong. After all, he also wanted to kick such a scumbag after seeing him. It was just that the older sister seemed to always make small reports to their family, and he felt rather uncomfortable.
He thought of the crooked school badge that had been on her chest.
Williston Noble High School.
He would transfer there tomorrow; if they were in the same school, he would find a chance to see her again.

Author’s note:
Now that the self-awareness has been awakened, Xia Yao will no longer follow the original novel and the system is there to remind her of the time and place she is supposed to appear.

Xia Yao: You will never believe we will actually see each other again in half an hour, ha ha.
