The Evolution: Rise Of The Heroes

The crowd immediately noticed the change of voice by the receptionist. They were curious and couldn't help but stared at the person in front of the line. Scholars are regarded by many as "genius" or even a "prodigy" individuals. They are supposed to be the best of the best in the country, numbering 25 scholars in each Department. The Hero Department is different though since the number depends on the school's standard of the student's own skills and abilities. In this year, it was rumored to be at least 6 exceptional students who got full scholarship in Hero Department. The School decided not to disclose this for students who may think they would favor scholars more than others and also to keep them safe by not exposing their privacy.

Jon noticed that people are looking at him disdainfully, these were the people that were not accepted to the university. If you were not rich enough to get one of the positions in the Department or not powerful enough for the school to notice you as a valuable student, then the only choice would be to take the scholarship test. He obviously didn't care about what others might think of himself and plus, he was already used to it. "Yeah is there a problem?" Jon asked curiously.

The receptionist realized what she had done. She leaned forward and whispered "I'm sorry I was not supposed to say that." She immediately wrote his name and followed "There's a meeting for scholars at the Admin Building, 4th Floor Main Room. After the orientation, you are to proceed there, so make sure you're not late. Again I'm really sorry."

"Don't worry about it" he smiled at the receptionist and left. People were still talking about him but when they knew he was at the Robotics Departments, they couldn't be bothered and eventually stopped. After all, the Hero Department is what the people are after.

The pathway from the gate to the campus was full of busy people, from Senior students trying to recruit new students to their club, to the students surrounding someone from the Hero Department. The center of the campus was wide and spacious, standing at the middle was one of the five original EVOS, Eternity. There were other 3 connected pathways from each direction which leads to different buildings. The North stations the Admin Town, in where main facilities such as classrooms, laboratories libraries and etc. are located. 60% of the space of the school are Admin Town and is the most busiest part of the University. The west is where the students or staff lives, it is also called the Residential Area. There are also some buildings in where the students can relax like the Lounge Area or hold student's events like the Clubhouse. The east or the Commercial Area is full of miscellaneous facilities. These includes the pools for relaxation or gym for workouts. It even has its own mall which can cater students and staffs.

Jon had a problem walking to the center of the campus, senior students kept bugging him to join their clubs. Some were using their powers to show off to the new students and some are surrounding someone from the Hero Department, probably inviting him to their "House"

In the University of Eternity, they have a group called "Houses". They are a group of people sharing the same goal. The most famous House at the University would be the Eternalis, which holds most of the students from the Hero Department. They can also rent out the buildings in the Residential Area in return to great deeds they would need to do for the University.

"Are you into supernaturals and aliens stuff? Here join us!" Jon just flat out shook his head.

"Interested in reading manga? What about in watching anime? Well we're looking for new students to..." Jon immediately interrupted and raised his hand, refusing the offer.

Jon finally reached the center of the campus, he looked at the statue of Eternity which was standing proudly. A sword at his waist, goggles at his forehead and his hands were position like those main characters in shows that was cracking their knuckles. The crowd surrounding the Statue got busier and with no choice, Jon left and went on to the Residential Area. When suddenly he caught a glimpse of something and immediately make his way.

"Why did we even bother?" an irritated voice said to his companion sitting next to him. They were 2 of them, behind the table that says Advanced Tech Club. The other guy looked at the clipboard and saw a blank sheet of paper. He sighed and said "You never know..."

When suddenly a person infront of them appeared. The other guy was hesitating when he excitedly jumped from his chair and asked "We're the Advanced Tech Club, We experiment in various kinds of technologies that can potentially help the University or even the City! The University funds us when we created something that caught their attention."

Jon saw this as the perfect club for his plans. But first he needed resources, alot of it to start his project. "I'm in, where do I sign up?" The other guy shoved the clipboard to Jon in which he wrote his name. "Jon Storm... Welcome to the Advanced Tech Club! I'm Freddy Goodman, you can just call me Fred and I'm the President of this Club." He shook hands with Jon. Fred is slim at his age, but taller than Jon. His brown long hair would make people think he's a surfer from Hawaii.

"Oh and this is Brad by the way, Bradley Berry." A small stature and with a bowl haircut greeted Jon. After shooking his hands with Jon, Brad offered a tour to Jon around the campus in which Jon gladly accepts leaving Fred alone on the desk, though Fred didn't mind. They first went to the Residential Area and into Jon's Dorm. The building is 3 story high and his room is at the 3rd floor. Jon left his things at the room and continued the tour with Brad.

The Admin Town is like its own separate city. With 3 main buildings surrounding the huge Courtyard, a huge space where every student can do what they want. The 1st Main building at the west side of the Admin Town is the Sports Complex, and behind it is the huge football field a track just outside of it and next to it was the Olympic Size pool. The 2nd Main Building is at the north side of the Admin Town, or the Admin Building. Faculties, laboratories and classrooms can be found in here. Behind of it is the Great Library, which holds one of the largest collection of books just next University of Infinity's Library. The last Building is positioned at the east side of the Admin Town is The Dome, an arena built for the Hero Department to hone their super powers. This is also where professors conduct their test every semester for the Hero Department.

As they were about to head to the Commercial Area, a sound can be heard all over the campus. "It's an announcement, listen." Brad said.

"All new students, please proceed to the Assembly Hall." repeating the announcement one more time before disappearing.

"That's your call, we'll continue this later. Oh right, the Assembly Hall should be the first thing you see when you get in the Admin Building." Brad said before leaving and headed on the Center of the Campus.

The new students all made their way to the Assembly Hall. Some were trying not to attend but staffs got a hold of them. The Assembly hall was a Proscenium Theatre, with 2 floors of seats at the left, right and back side. With the stage at the center and a curtain just behind it. Jon eventually found an empty seat at the 2nd floor. Everything can be seen here but not clearly. When a voice suddenly appeared next to him. "Is no one seated here?" He immediately looked up and shook his head. Jon looked at the situation from above and saw that the Hero Department has always been the core of the University. The students were always s.u.c.k.i.n.g up to these students hoping they would recognize them. Since once you're enrolled at the Hero Department, your future would be limitless!

After some time, the assembly was filled with students. The staff were lined at the side waiting for "that" person to start the orientation. And then he came in, a seemingly old man, with a cane in his hand and a monocle at his left eye. He was dressed neatly with a black suit jacket that fits his short height. "Is this thing on..." while tapping on the microphone. Thousands of eyes were locked on him, and he still acted like no one was there. Realizing that it was working, he cleared his throat and said "Welcome, Freshmans! I'm Henry Destiny, Campus Director and the grandson of the great hero, Eternity!"
