The Evolution: Rise Of The Heroes

The next day.

Jon worked all night at the room. Since the machine that he brought at the rooftop has a timer, it'll just shut down on its own. The whole school must have already seen it, because of the dozens of messages that Jon received at his iChip. Most of it are from Tris, and some were from Clark and the other representatives. They were mostly praising him but he couldn't bother. He just turned off his notifications and went to work.

This time, Jon woke up early, although he is still lacking of sleep, there's still a bunch of things to do. With only 5 days left before the homecoming party, he has to rush it if he wants to succeed.

Walking around the campus, it's still the same old scene but with a difference, students are now more in groups. This is one of the effects of the Homecoming party, if they have something to talk to, it's easy to socialize with others.

Eugene Houston was still flying as usual, but this time you can see at his face that he is tired. After all your abilities are still linked to your human capabilities. Flying to Eugene must have been the same as swimming to others, when you keep doing it you'll eventually get tired. It's the same for Liam the speedster, he is basically running but his powers also come with increased stamina.

"I saw what you did last night, it's more than what we expect. Great job." Clark appeared next to him in which Jon jumped in surprised. Realizing it was Clark, Jon just smiled.

"You're truly gifted Jon, even when you don't have any powers, you still strive for greatness." By his own words, Clark was pondering of something. Jon was also thinking about what happened yesterday... but seeing the expressions of Clark's face, he tried to shift to another topic.

"Now that I think about it, What's the powers of the Top 1 from the Hero Department?" Clark snapped from his thoughts and grinned. He grabbed Jon's shoulder and then SHIFT! They were gone! They seemed like they jumped because when they landed they were in another area... Teleportation!

Seeing the shocked face of Jon, Clark smiled and said. "Yeah, praised me!" he joked. "I can teleport people and objects. I know you're wondering, how can Teleportation top the rest of those from the Hero Program... Well let's just say there's alot of things you can do about it, if you just think outside the box." followed by a childish wink at Jon.

Jon realized where they are, it was the Clubhouse but with dozens of students. It must be the scholars still designing the area. Jon realized something and said. "What about the morning updates?" Clark was confused and returned with a question "You didn't get my message?" in which Jon only replied with an awkward laugh and a scratch at his head. He did after all turned off his notifications to focus working on his plan.

They reached the Clubhouse, but this time there were a few boxes lying at the floor. All of the representatives are here with the exception of Opal Jenkins from the Space Department and Davis Chu, from the Science Department. It seems they were still busy making their machines. They greeted and waved when they saw Jon and Clark on the way to the Clubhouse. Everyone can already see that the representatives are comfortable at each other, It seems the Director's plan are indeed working.

There are still much to do about the Clubhouse, but because of the stunt that Jon pulled last night and thanks to the Advertising Team, the Homecoming Party is the talk around the school. Everywhere you go they would talk about the party, making the University busy and festive. The news was also spread at a few Professors and they said they would come.

Clark made a few inspiring words to the rest of the team, and they began working the Clubhouse. The rest of the representatives also went to do their individual task. Clark asked Jon that since he was finished on his task, maybe he could help around the Clubhouse or atleast in advertising. In which Jon refused, he lied saying that he wasn't finished and there are still a few items that he need. Clark already saw what Jon could do and he didn't hesitate to let Jon go.

"Maybe you need help", Jon wanted to cut him right there but Clark keeps going, "Don't worry I know her, she's actually quite good when it comes to tech stuff. Amelia!" He started to call her, which left Jon flabbergasted. He clearly knows who Amelia is, he met her yesterday when he was at the Advanced Tech Club. When someone called her, Amelia looked at their direction and made her way over. Jon was cursing at Clark deep down but he realized that Amelia was getting closer and his mind were all over the place. He was still staring at her but that's when he noticed that her eyes were locked at Clark, she was clearly blushing as she gets closer. Immediately realizing the situation, Jon finally regained his conscience but his eyes were now separated from her, staring at the distance with a disappointed eyes.

'I mean Clark is pretty good looking guy, and also not a douchebag so yeah...' Jon thought to himself "Jon!" someone called him but he was still lost in his thoughts. "Earth to Jon! You okay?" that's when he finally snapped. He saw Clark holding his shoulder, and Amelia looking at him, curiously.

"Anyway, Let's start again, Amelia this is Jon, the Robotics Representative. Jon this is Amelia, also from the Robotics Department." after that she offered his hands to Jon in which he did, awkwardly. Continuing the conversation Amelia said "So what do you need Jon? Maybe I can help." Although Jon wasn't asking for help, Clark insisted and if he refuses now, people would hesitate to help him in the future. They would think that Jon Storm doesn't need help. Good thing that Jon was still missing some parts of his plan. He can use this opportunity to get what he need.

"Yeah, I still need a Quanternax Battery." Jon straight up answered Amelia. The battery that he was asking for is used for storing a great amount of energy. Jon calculated what he did wrong yesterday at his dorm. The draft machine that he did yesterday malfunctioned because it was storing alot of energy inside. A small machine with scraps as parts can't contain that much energy. That's why it exploded. Yes, what Jon did yesterday was making his own Quanternax Battery.

"Quanternax Battery? For a machine like that? The University would never agree to it. You do realized that when that battery is full, without proper caution could blow up the whole University." Amelia cautioned. Jon realizing what he said, he cursed himself. His mind was still out there, he let his emotions get carried away. Clark was also shocked of what Amelia said and he immediately looked towards Jon. "Bad joke... sorry." followed by an awkward laugh. Amelia just shook her head, but she smiled at the end. Clark however was laughing hard, not because of what Jon said, but because Amelia took it seriously. Looks like Jon got away safely.

They were still having a small talk before Clark said "I'll let you two do your own thing. See ya!" In which he just hopped a small step and SHIFT! He's gone!

"Daamn, I wish I had those powers." Jon said "I wish.." In which Amelia just agreed. At the end Jon said that he only need some parts, Jon jokingly said that he gave up trying to get a Quanternax Battery which made Amelia laugh again, but in truth he's going to use the parts that he will get and make his own! Afterall the only reason why his home made battery failed is that the parts he was using was close to trash!

Jon wasn't as awkward as he was when they first met, When Amelia found out that Jon was the one who made the machine, she couldn't stop asking questions about it on their way to the Supply Room. Jon was amazed by how knowledgable Amelia is when it comes to technology. She even came up with suggestions to improve the machine, in which Jon didn't think was possible. He couldn't let himself hide anymore and he became the nerdy version of himself.

They already got access of the Supply Room thanks to Clark. Jon is having a hard time getting the supplies that he need. Amelia is always by with her side, questioning him about the parts that he's grabbing. Although it's annoying, Jon couldn't really bring himself to get angry at her. At the end, he just came up with something like he's gonna try the suggestions that she made earlier.

The University really can't be underestimated, they almost have anything here! They still talked for a moment before saying goodbye to each other.

The 4 days passed by quickly, it went like the usual. It was Saturday now, the last day the Representatives will prepare for the Homecoming Party. Ashley Underwood, the Entertainment Representative was impressive when it comes to home designing. The Clubhouse was marvelous!

Joshua Curry, the Social Representative probably did the most contribution out of all, He used the Club President's orientation to his advantage to talk to every Club President. He convinced them that by showing what their club can do at the Homecoming party, most people would be inclined to join them. Obviously most of them were enticed and went to work. Their works were placed at the field of the Clubhouse, just next to the nearby lake. The scenery was absolutely amazing with Hot Air balloons floating at the top of the Clubhouse, with Eugene Houston and few of his friends who can fly played football at the sky. The lake was also decorated by a who knows club, a number jets of water was propelled at the air, like a water fountain.

The Science and the Space Department just finished their machines yesterday. They saw that Jon was still not finished, but in fact he was already finished 4 days ago. They wanted to show their machine to Jon but he is nowhere to be seen.

At the lounge near the clubhouse, there were 2 people sitting at the same table, they can see the whole scenery of the Clubhouse here. The girl was busy talking to the guy, who just keeps staring at her, smiling. Her honey blonde hair and her honey sweet lips under the dimly radiant twilight is making her even more beautiful. If other people would see the guy she's with, they couldn't blame him! In fact they would even do the same in his position!

"Hey, Jon! You're doing the same thing again." she just rolled her eyes, shook her head and smiled. Her words snapped Jon, he did it again! He hide it away by drinking his glass of mango shake.

"So who are you going with tomorrow?" two female students passed by them, and they continued "I'm going with Dan, who's your date?" that last word thunderstruck Jon. Date?! What Date? He wasn't informed of this! Homecoming Party... Wait! Duh!

"Urghh..." growled quitely by Jon followed by covering his face. It was obviously noticed by Amelia and she asked. "What's wrong?"

"I forgot, the Homecoming Party comes with dates..." He just facepalmed his face hard. He realized something and asked. "Wait, who you're going with?" Jon was also busy on his own plans that he actually forgot. Even when he was finished or taking a break, he would always spend his time talking with Amelia. For some reason, after they properly introduced each other, they didn't stopped hanging out. Whenever they have freetime, they would always talk, its mostly just technology at first but as time goes on, they went off topics. It was probably because the both of them haven't met a person more into technology other than themselves. After all those years, penting up their nerdy selves without someone to talk to, they finally released it to each other.

"Well I was also busy helping you guys, you know the clubhouse and all. I even forgot about it." she just shrugged, she doesn't seem to care about dates. The date thing was after all not really necessary but the party is still full of students with dates. They would get out of placed, no one wants that.

"Great, I'll pick you up at 6."
