Chapter 3: My most beautiful fiancée

“Julian-sama!”

I ran up to him with a smile on my face, my amber-colored hair fluttering in the warm spring breeze.

“Aliseteen.”

He was Julian Da Stratis, the fourth prince of this country. His grey eyes were not particularly assertive, but they were mysterious and exuded a certain charm. His grey hair was neatly trimmed, and his asymmetrical bangs suited his well-defined face.

He was also my fiancé, but he remained expressionless as he turned to face me. Even I, someone who knew him well, had rarely seen the muscles in his face move.

But that was okay. As a prince of a country, he couldn’t afford to easily let his guard down around others.

As I stared at his profile, mesmerized, he tilted his head.

“What is it?”

“You look beautiful as always, Julian-sama.”

Truly, he seemed otherworldly. He was tall and slender, and the school uniform looked better on him than anyone else. With his pale skin, even his expressionless face was incredibly beautiful.

I eagerly await the day when that face will smile softly while calling out my name.

“Great job with the student council work. Would you like to ride home with the Quatra family’s carriage?”

“No, I’m already waiting for my servants.”

I internally clicked my tongue at Julian-sama’s indifferent tone. It’s something that could be ignored.

“How about having tea on the terrace after school tomorrow?”

“We have another student council meeting tomorrow.”

“Oh, right.”

I let my shoulders droop, but Julian-sama didn’t seem to care. Normally, I wouldn’t tolerate such an attitude towards someone like me, but he’s always been special to me, so I forgive him with a smile.

I have been engaged to Julian-sama for about ten years now. Although the formal princess education begins after graduation, I have worked hard to become his wonderful partner.

What’s most wonderful about Julian-sama is that there’s nothing besides his face. No man in this country can rival this sculpted, well-ordered appearance.

And the only woman that can match him is me.

“Well, look at this. Quatra-sama is being dismissed by His Highness again.”

“You never learn, do you? I wonder if His Highness has realized Quatra-sama’s true nature yet.”

“I hope so.”

Aliseteen didn’t hear the whispers of her fellow students as she gazed dreamily at Julian’s profile with the eyes of a lovestruck maiden.

If they had caught her doing that, they wouldn’t have let it slide.

(I want to graduate from this boring academy as soon as possible and live with Julian-sama.)

Aliseteen could only see herself as the future wife of the fourth prince.

Even if Julian’s attitude towards her was cold, it didn’t matter. He was like that with all women, and once they got married, he would be hers, or so she thought.

Everything was going according to plan.

Until “that woman” appeared.
