Tae-Woo stood up from his seat while watching So-Won suffering.

As he came downstairs, a white bowl of porridge was placed on the table with traces of someone’s visit. Seeing the condition of So-Won, it seemed difficult to eat, so Tae-Woo contacted in advance and changed the menu. The steaming soft vegetable porridge seemed to be easy to eat.

Tae-Woo, who was about to take a walk with the food to bring to So-Won, stopped for a while when he saw the lonely living room. The house with the lights out was desolate.

The space without So-Won felt empty today.

Still, all this was like a dream. The fact that there is a guide who he thought he would never meet, someone who smiles brightly at him. So-Won stays by his side even after seeing a monster.

Good. If this is a dream, Tae-Woo doesn’t want to wake up for the rest of his life. Tae-Woo turned his head in the empty house and walked silently.

Tae-Woo, who came up to the room with a bowl of porridge, woke up So-Won.

“It’s time for dinner, So-Won.”

“…what is it?”

So-Won tossed and turned and managed to get up and pick up the spoon. Tae-Woo couldn’t look away from So-Won it looks like even picking the spoon is hard for him. So-Won chewed the porridge slowly in his mouth as if he had no appetite. Tae-Woo came out of the room again, saying he would bring medicine after watching So-Won.

Tae-Woo returned with cold medicine and checked the bowl when he saw So-Won sleeping. He had eaten, but it remained almost as it was untouched. He can’t force him to eat if he doesn’t want to eat, but it was better to give him medicine before sleeping deeply.

” So-Won.”

Tae-Woo called out his name, but So-Won frowned and did not open his eyes.

So-Won took a deep breath. Sweaty hair was sticking to his face. Tae-Woo put his hand on So-Won’s round forehead, thinking that it would be better to hospitalize him at the center even now. The heat boiled from the little forehead.

His heart ached. The fact that there was nothing he could do for So-Won while she was struggling caused a sense of helplessness. Tae-Woo wished he would be the one sick instead. Having suffered all his life, he was used to being sick.

“Umm…”

So-Won’s expression relaxed, feeling a tender touch, he slowly opened his eyes. Tae-Woo stopped thinking and hurriedly opened his mouth.

“So-Won, I brought you some medicine.”

Tae-Woo soothed So-Won in a friendly voice, fearing that he would close his eyes again. Fortunately, So-Won nodded and raised herself.

The drowsy eyes fell down. When Tae-Woo handed over the medicine, So-Won reached out his hand. A white pill headed toward So-Won’s mouth, and his red lips slightly opened due to the fever, and a smooth tongue was seen between them. He felt a sudden thirst and Tae-Woo felt his lower body stiffen for a moment.

After swallowing the medicine, he was back to lying back on the bed, Tae-Won hurriedly swept his face down and headed to the bathroom. Tae-Woo, who entered the shower booth as if he were running away, poured cold water on his head. He had to cool down his head, which was weird because of the hot air.

A long time later, Tae-Woo came out of the bathroom and checked the condition of So-Won. Maybe because he took medicine, he looked better than before. Tae-Woo carefully lay down next to So-Won so that he would not wake up. When Tae-Woo came under the blanket, So-Won hugged his body. Tae-Woo was wondering if he should raise the temperature but chose to hug So-Won instead.

He was sick the whole day.

So-Won woke up feeling the heat like a steamer. The first thing that welcomed So-Won was Tae-Woo’s arm wrapped around his body.

It was so hot in the room, but he was meticulously covering the blanket with Tae-Woo. So-Won hurriedly escaped from Tae-Woo’s arms and lifted the blanket. It got a little cooler when he got out of the hot blanket, but the hotness remained.

There happened to be water next to him. So-Won lifted a cup of water and drank it. He expected cool water, but the fluid slithering down his throat was lukewarm as if it had been heated for a long time in the midsummer sun. He put down the cup, frowning.

“How are you feeling?”

“Oh, Tae-Woo.”

Tae-Woo asked, raising himself next to him. Come to think of it, Tae-Woo continued to be in his sparse memories while he was sick. He seemed to have taken care of himself all night.

“My throat is still sore, but it improved a lot.”

“Don’t you have to go to the hospital?”

” It’s all right now. Thank you for taking care of me.”

So-Won relaxed his aching body. He didn’t have much headache and he felt light. But maybe because he sweated too much, his skin was sticky.

He wanted to wash up quickly because he felt uncomfortable with the sweat in his body plus he might be smelly.

“I’m going to wash up.”

Saying so, So-Won stepped out of bed. However, as soon as his feet touched the floor, he felt the heat and he quickly retracted it back. The floor was so hot. Uncharacteristically for a chilly fall, the air was sweltering.

“Tae-Woo, did you turn on the heater?”

When So-Won looked back and asked, Tae-Woo nodded. It wasn’t cold enough to turn on the heater yet, but it seemed to bother Tae-Woo that he had a cold.

It was too hot to be moved, so So-Won turned off the heat and opened the window. The cool wind blew and the cool morning air welcomed So-Won. It was a fine and sunny morning.

So-Won belatedly confirmed the time. It was long past Tae-Woo’s time to go to work.

“Tae-Woo, how about going to work?”

“It’s the weekend, so it’s okay not to go.”

When he checked the day of the week, it was the weekend. He seemed to have forgotten the concept of the date because he had been in Canada for the past few days.

So-Won soon entered the bathroom and spent time in it after a long time receiving a large bathtub full of hot water. So-Won returned to his room after a satisfactory bath, and stepped back without realizing it as soon as he opened the door.

So-Won’s room was worse than he remembered. Clothes taken out of the closet were scattered all over the bed, and the items in the drawer spilt while looking for a passport were scattered on the floor.

He can’t believe Tae-Woo saw this mess. He suddenly felt embarrassed. Normally, no one comes into his room, so he thought he could clean it up after being dispatched abroad, he guessed he was too easygoing.

Leaving the room so messy and untouched, So-Won unpacked for now. He’s lazy and fiddles with his cell phone. He was going to visit his parents since he couldn’t do it yesterday but since he isn’t completely cured yet, he decided to rest until today.

The late breakfast with Tae-Woo was a long-awaited Korean meal. So-Won, who was about to return to her room with Tae-Woo after eating full, dragged his steps slowly. It’s been a long time since the two of them had a holiday at home, and he didn’t want to waste precious moments spending time in each room as usual. So-Won wanted to be with Tae-Woo a little longer.

“ Tae-Woo.”

“Speak, please.”

“Tae-Woo, what kind of movies do you like?”

So-Won going to stay with him a little longer under the pretext of watching a movie that Tae-Woo would like.

Soon after, however, the answer from Tae-Woo’s mouth was something that So-Won never imagined.

“I don’t know because I’ve never seen a movie.”

“What? You’ve never seen a movie? Never?”

So-Won was surprised with his eyes wide open, Tae-Woo, who had been delaying his answer for a while, corrected his answer, saying, “I think I saw one when I was young after thinking about it for a long time.” But So-Won can’t hear anything else.

So-Won was greatly shocked.

Come to think of it, he had never seen Tae-Woo watch TV before. In the old days, he stayed at home because he had a few days off, and these days, he sometimes sat in front of the sofa, but it was only to wait for So-Won to wake up while he slept or to check the contact from the association.

“Then what have you been up to?”

“Most of the time I rested with a machine.”

Even when he wasn’t working Tae-Woo preferred to sit still and rest rather than do something. He originally thought he was taking a break like that, but it seemed to be because of the habit of attaching a guiding machine.

So-Won calmed down his surprised heart. He couldn’t let it go like this.

“Tae-Woo, let’s watch a movie together today.”

So-Won brought Tae-Woo to the front of the TV and sat down.

If it’s his first time, they’d better watch it at the movie theatre, but the movie theatre is noisy and if someone recognizes Tae-Woo, it could have been a problem

So-Won thought about it for a long time while holding a remote control. As it was the first movie the two of them watched together, he became cautious. So-Won wanted to choose something that was memorable for a long time.

Action? It must be boring for Tae-Woo, who always enters the gate and fights monsters. Romance… was a little embarrassing for men to watch.

So-Won’s memories of being 30 years old were searched and thought of some good movies, but there were many movies that were not even searched because they were not released yet. So-Won, who didn’t give up and looked for various things, managed to pick out a movie.

“How about this?”

So-Won’s chosen movie was the first instalment of a famous fantasy series. The material was good enough and the reviews were good. When So-Won saw it for the first time, he remembered enjoying it.

Tae-Woo nodded, and So-Won pressed the play button. The opening music played along with the film company logo.
