After the first ring, the doctor at the other end of the phone answered the call.

"Dr. Li, I want you to come to ****** to come and take a look at someone, she is running a temperature, and she is an asthmatic patient..."

After the call, Fu Hua kept his phone aside and took the porridge from the manager, and decided to feed his girlfriend by himself.

"Alix, open your mouth." Fu Hua commanded as he sent the spoon of porridge close to her mouth after blowing on it.

Alix Feng gazed at him, and only opened her Smith to eat the porridge when he called out to her again.

Fu Hua dipped the spoon into the bowl and scooped up another portion of the porridge and blew on it. Then he sent it into her mouth as he asked, "Why are you staring at me like that, is something on my face?."

"I can't remember when last you were this nice to me." Alix Feng said as she managed a smile after swallowing the porridge.

"Are you trying to say that I've been mean to you these days?." Fu Hua asked as he fed her another spoon without any emotion on his face.

"Don't you know? Your attitude made me depressed, and at last, I had a fever." Alix Feng replied in a soft tone, as she continued lying in his embrace.

"I'm sorry. I want this Autumn show to be perfect, so I'm doing all I can. I'm sorry that I neglected you." Fu Hua apologized in a sincere tone as he continued to feed her.

Feng Alix on the other hand, was very obedient as she ate the porridge he fed her without making a fuss.

"Do you still love me? I want you to assure me that you still care for me." Alix Feng said as she gazed into his eyes. She wanted to see the most of his sincerity.

Fu Hua's hand paused in mid-air as he stared into her eyes.

"I have already apologized to you, which means that you have a place in my heart. How many times have you see me apologize to other people?." Fu Hua asked as he resumed his movements and sent the spoon of porridge into her mouth.

"That's true, you hardly apologize to people, even to me. An apology is like gold to you which you don't easily give out." Feng Alix said as she became quiet in his embrace.

"Alix, forget about other things. As long you know that I love you, that's enough. I love you, and I'm sorry about other things. Now finish your porridge before it turns completely cold." Fu Hua said to her with a slight smile on his face.

Since he walked into her house today, this was the first time Alix was seeing him smile, so she became infected and smiled back at him as she finished her porridge happily.

"You look happy." Fu Hua said to her as he wiped her lips ???? with the napkin.

"And that's because you made me happy. I thought you would continue to be mean to me after finding out I was sick." Alix Feng said as she cuddled next to him.

"Why would you think like that?." Fu Hua asked as he held her in his arms and caressed her hair.

"You didn't call me even after finding out that I was sick. That got me worried, and then I thought you didn't love me anymore and would soon break up with me." Alix Replied.

When she was sure that the message of he'd being sick has been passed to Fu Hua, she patiently waited for his call, but she didn't receive any calls or texts, so her heart was embittered. And because of that, her thoughts began to wander.

Thinking that Fu Hua was tired of her now, she refused to let that thought go, as her mind and heart became entangled in a panic.

She would never let Fu Hua break up with her. She didn't even want to imagine another woman enjoying everything she has ever received from Fu Hua, be it his warmth, shelter, money, love, connections, care, sex, anything at all.

She doesn't think she can bear it so see another woman replace her, she would rather die or kill off that person for peace to reign.

Thinking of the bliss she was currently receiving, Alix Feng smile as she tightened her arms around Fu Hua.

Feeling the reluctance of the woman to let him go, Fu Hua smiled as he patted her back. 

"Alix, I love you and that is a fact. Don't talk about breaking up with me, because I won't. I will only break up with you if you will be the one to bring it up." 

Fu Hua made a huge promise that he will later regret in the future. At that time, he wished he could reverse time to this day, and erase the words he said, but by then, it was too late till regret, so he had to deal with a lot of things that came as a result of this particular promise.

"Really, you mean what you say?." Alix Feng asked with a little excitement in her tone as she raised her head to stare at him as if to confirm what he said.

"Silly. You still have a fever, rest." Fu Hua said with a smile as he pushed his head back on his chest.

Right now, he actually meant his words, but who knew that he would regret it later?

Alix Feng's manager disappeared from their sight after passing the bowl of porridge to Fu Hua. 

Now she knew how close their relationship was, she decided to stay away from them, in other not to be a nuisance to them.

The manager only returned to their sight some minutes later with a glass of warm water for Alix.

Alix took the glass from her, as Fu Hua asked, "Is it hot?."

"Not too hot, but I can manage." Alix Feng replied after taking some sips from the water.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

"I will get it." The manager replied as she rushed to the door.
