"What happened?." Grandfather Fu asked while Jia Li watched in a tense manner.

"No one is answering the call." Fu Hua announced.

"Maybe she is at work. Try Mr. Qin's line." Grandfather Fu instructed just before Jia Li could mention her father.

Fu Hua went ahead to dial Mr. Qin's number. After the first ring, the call was answered.

"Hello, Jia Li." Officer Su greeted.

After the nurse handed the phone and some other items they got from Mr. Qin's pocket, she walked back into the theater.

It didn't take long before the phone in his hand started ringing. When he saw the caller ID, he was a bit tensed because of the situation. But he knew he had to do his job, so he answered the call.

He thought it was Jia Li on the line since the incoming call showed her caller ID.

Fu Hua heard the young male voice from the other end of the phone and frowned a little before going ahead to introduce himself.

"This is not Jia Li. I am Fu Hua, and Jia Li is with us at the Fu House. May I speak to Mr. Qin?."

Officer Su was taken aback when he heard that surname, then he remembered the Old retired Major General he met at the same hospital about 3 months ago.

He thought that Fu Hua must be his grandson because his voice sounded calm and mature. Officer Su went ahead to introduce himself.

"Good Day Mr. Fu, I am Officer Su. I don't know if you can remember me, but I helped with the Old General's case when he was hospitalized. But that's not the issue. Is Miss Qin Jia Li there with you?." Officer Su asked.

"Yes, she is here with me. Is her father nearby, she wants to speak with him?." Fu Hua asked directly while witnessing everyone's curious gaze on him.

"Mr. Fu, there is a serious issue over here. Miss Qin's parents were attacked by the loan sharks and they two were seriously injured before we could arrive. Right now, they are in the theater. It would be good for the patient's family to come over." Officer Su explained.

Fu Hua's facial expression did not change, but he couldn't help furrowing his brows. 

Grandfather Fu was right beside him, so he could feel the heavy aura he was emitting, so he knew something was really wrong from the other end.

Jia Li on the other hand was too tensed that she couldn't help grasping onto the sheets. She was nervously waiting for a response from Fu Hua.

Fu Hee on the other hand wanted to know about the situation, but she couldn't ask about it because the old man had already sent her a warning glare, so she could only keep quiet and continue to rub Jia Li's back.

Fu Hua was about to say something to Officer Su when he heard a feminine voice from the other end of the phone, so he kept quiet and listened.

On the other side, A middle-aged doctor walked towards Officer Su and his colleague from the hallway.

When Officer Su saw the doctor walking towards him, he didn't wait for him and met him halfway. He even forgot to disconnect the call.

"Doctor, how is Mrs. Qin?." Officer Su asked.

"We are sorry, we couldn't have her. Her heart had stopped beating before we could start operating. Where is her family member?." The Doctor asked?

"Her daughter is not in town now, but I will get across to her." Officer Su replied.

"Please do that quickly, as we have other formalities to conclude." The doctor said and walked away with the two nurses by his side.

Fu Hua heard the whole conversation, and his countenance became heavier. But because he was good with masking his facial expressions, nobody could tell anything from looking at him.

Officer Su remembered he was still on a call, so he put the phone back to his ear.

"Mr. Fu, you've heard from the doctor, Mrs. Qin is dead. Mr. Qin is still in the theater, and his condition is critical. As their daughter, Miss Qin's presence is needed.

"Thank you, Officer Su. Miss Qin would be there as soon as possible." 

With that, Fu Hua ended the call.

"What happened?!." Fu Hee blurted out.

She clearly heard her son say, 'Officer Su'

"Miss Qin there is a bit of emergency back home, and your presence is needed immediately. Please get ready to leave in 10 minutes." Fu Hua said to Jia Li with a cold tone.

He was not purposely being cold to her, but he couldn't help but talk that way. He really pitied her situation.

"Did something happen?." Jia Li asked as tears rolled down her cheeks. Her heartbeats were unstable.

"Jia Li calm down, and get dressed, I will accompany you back home." Grandfather Fu turned to her to say, before instructing the personal servant he assigned to her, to pack a few of her things.

Just before leaving her bedroom, the doctor arrived, so they left the room, leaving Jia Li, her servant, and the doctor alone.

When they walked to the living room, the butler helped Grandfather Fu to sit.

"Fu Hua, tell us about your conversation with Officer Su. Did something happen to Mr. Qin?." Grandfather Fu asked.

"Grandfather, the situation is very serious. The loan sharks attacked Miss Qin's parents before the police could arrive. Their situation was very serious so they were rushed to the hospital immediately, but Mrs. Qin died before they could start operating on her. Mr. Qin is still in the theater, and his condition is very critical."

Fu Hua explained the situation as detailed as he could.

"What?!." Fu Hee cried out in shock ????

Grandfather Fu was shocked as well. "This is bad news! Jia Li can't handle this news."

"Fu Hua, call Mr. Qin's number, I need to speak with Officer Su." Grandfather Fu said before turning to his Butler to instruct...

"Prepare the Private Jet, and pack a few of my things, we are leaving here in the next 15 minutes."

The Butler took his order and left immediately. He also was shocked by the news and pitied Jia Li.

'Poor child.'
