After greeting the old man, she turned to Jia Li to greet her. Now, she was genuinely happy because the old man responded to her greeting.

Jia Li responds to her greeting and continued eating while replying to her questions about school.

"Meixu tell your mother I want to see her in my study before dinner." Grandfather Fu said.

Meixu was a little bit tensed at the reason the old man wanted to see her mother.

Before dinner, Fu ChunHua went to the old man's study to see him. She was a bit nervous as she didn't know what he wanted to talk about.

But deep down in her heart, she was hoping the old man wasn't going to as them to leave since he hasn't mentioned anything about it.

Sitting in front of the Old man without any hint of expression on his face, Fu ChunHua managed a smile as she said, "Father, you asked for me."

Looking up at her, Grandfather Fu stared at her for a few seconds before slowly speaking up.

"If you want to live here comfortably, treat Jia Li well."

Fu ChunHua thought she didn't hear her well, so she was in a daze with her gaze on the old man.

'Wait, the old man wasn't asking us to leave?'

'He wasn't going to admonish me?'

"He's asking that I treat Jia Li well if I want to live here?'

As different thoughts were going through Fu ChunHua's attention was called back.

"You can leave." Grandfather Fu said to her.

Because of his plans, the old man wanted Jia Li to have enough support, even if it may not be genuine, but at least, it wouldn't harm her.

Since he wanted Jia Li and Fu Hua to get married, he knew Fu Hee would be strongly against it, and Fu Hua will not like that idea. 

And since Fu ChunHua and Fu Hee were at odds with each other, he would need the former to be standing at Jia Li's side.

He was seriously making future preparations for Jia Li and Fu Hua's marriage.

As if having gotten the hidden message, Fu ChunHua smiled and thanked the old man before leaving.

As long as she treated Jia Li, well, not only could she leave here, but she could do so, comfortably.

Why wouldn't she treat Jia Li well since she had nothing to lose?

She doesn't know the old man's plans, but she knew she wouldn't be short-changed as long as she listened to him.

Fu ChunHua couldn't wait to break this news to Fu Hee, because the latter has been taunting her and couldn't wait for her to leave the house.

Grandfather relaxed his back on the chair and said to the Butler who has been standing in the room.

"I think I have done a good job here."

"Yes, Sir. Now Miss Qin wouldn't be attacked in the future from both sides of the family." The Butler responded.

He didn't know the actual reason the old man was acting this way. Well, he thought it was because of the report he got out his two daughters-in-law a question his treatment towards Jia Li.

A day ago, he reported to the old man on what he heard the two Madams said about Jia Li. Both of them were jealous because of the treatment Jia Li was receiving.

"At the right time, I will let you know about my plans." Grandfather Fu said to him.

For now, he will keep his plans to himself.

"Finally!." Jia Ki said to herself as she closed her book. Just now, she was doing the assignments given to her.

Before she could take a deep breath, her phone started ringing. From her side view, she saw the caller ID, and a smile appeared on her face.

Once the call connected, she heard the gentle make voice from the other side.

"Hello, Jia Li..." Li Huang greeted.

"Hello, brother Huang." Jia Li responded.

"Sorry I haven't checked up on you in a while now, I have been occupied with work. How are you doing?." He asked.

"I understand. I'm fine, I'm better now." Jia Li replied.

"I heard from my Mum that you left the town for a while." Li Huang said as he tried to confirm things from her.

"Yeah, it's true." Jia Li replied.

Li Huang went ahead to ask her series of questions, and Jia Li's response to the previous questions gave rise to a new one.

"Who are you staying with?."

"Are they treating you well?."

"When will you be back?."

"Does it mean you won't come back again? What about your studies?."

Jia Li patiently answered all his questions.

There was silence for a while before Li Huang said to her. "I understand that you have to study there, but be careful. These rich people have complicated issues amongst their family members."

"I know, thank you!." Jia Li replied.

"Alright, I will let you go to bed early, I will call you tomorrow, take care of yourself, and don't forget to give me a call if something comes up." 

Jia Li smiled and responded gently to him before the call got disconnected.

She was very happy after speaking with her crush. She went to bed to lay down with a smile on her face.

That night, Fu ChunHua called Meixu over to her room to tell her of the old man's instructions.

"Really, it's so easy to stay here because of that?." Meixu asked in surprise.

"Yes. It looks like the old man likes that girl a lot. You have heard what he said. If we treat Jia Li well, we can live here comfortably." Fu ChunHua said.

"Okay, I got it. As far as I can reap some benefits from treating her well, I will do it." Fu Meixu said.

"Good. Your grandfather will also take care of our affairs, so do your best." Fu ChunHua said with a smile.

The next morning, more pictures from the FJ Style fashion show were released. News of the retired Old General gracing the occasion became a sensation because it was difficult to see the old man appear at public events.

The News was accompanied by the picture of the Old man, Jia Li, and Fu Juan. In the picture, Jia Li was sitting in-between the old man and Fu Juan, and there were smiles on their faces as their eyes were fixed on the stage.

Nobody knew Jia Li's real identity and her relationship to the Fu Family, but because she wasn't so important, they just had a few speculations in mind and left the matter aside.

It's been almost two weeks since the fashion show was held, but this news came out only because FJ Styles released a magazine featuring the Autumn fashion show and some of their latest collections.

Jia Li didn't know about this matter until she was informed by Fu Meixu when she came back from school.

Fu Meixu brought the magazine to her bedroom while telling her she was being featured. Jia Li didn't believe her until she saw the front cover of the magazine.

Apart from the model's picture that was made bold, by the side, was a picture of her, the old man, and Fu Juan with smiles on their faces.

Belie the picture, it was written that the retired Major General graced the occasion.

Jia Li smiled at the picture before her eyes moved to the model on the cover page. She recognized the model because she was one of the models on the FJ Autumn Fashion Show.

"Heh! I remember this model. I like her style." Jia Li said as she pointed at Feng Alix's picture.

"You mean Alix? She is a top model in the country and outside, so obviously, her style would be great." Meixu replied with a hint of envy in her tone.

"Oh! Please can I have a copy of the magazine?." Jia Li asked.

"Okay, I will try to help you get one. My agency gave this to me." Fu Meixu said.

"Okay, thank you!." Jia Li said gratefully.

Fu Meixu smiled and continued showing her the pictures from the Autumn show.

Jia Li saw the pictures of the founder of FJ Styles, who happens to be Grandfather Fu's wife and the grandmother to Fu Hua.

"This is my grandmother." Fu Meixu said as she pointed at the old picture of the woman who had a smile on her face.

"She is beautiful, and she looks a lot like Aunty Juan." Jia Li said in amazement.

"Yes, they look alike. Look, my cousin was featured in the magazine as well. He normally doesn't do this, so it is rare for him to have his picture put her." Fu Meixu said with a smile as she flipped to another page and pointed at Fu Hua's photo.

Jia Li was surprised to see another look of Fu Hua. He was very handsome, and he dressed just like a fashion god.

"Although I don't have a good relationship with him, I know how to appreciate good things when I see them. He should be giving the Fashion King's award." Fu Meixu said with a smile.

Jia Li nodded in agreement as she stared at the picture of Fu Hua that gave off a handsome cold ruler's vibe.
