The King Meets His Avatar

Ye Qiu did not have much time to be shocked because The System alerted him with another message again.

THE SYSTEM: 24 hrs left for Mission: Reach Level 50. Penalty: Stuck in Level One forever.

He trusted that he was still in a dream. But his d.e.s.i.r.e to achieve kicked in and as someone who had played Glory for more than 10 years, he knew where to level up the best. But since his level was merely 1, he had no choice but to look for level 1 monsters.

He soon found some wild boars 200m south of his location and he started killing the boars. For each boar he got 10XP and some common drops. He g.r.o.a.n.e.d knowing that it was not enough and the re-spawning of the boars was too slow for him to level up to level 50 in one day. He suddenly felt like his first mission was MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

The System remained quiet the whole time he was killing the mobs even when he gained experience or received drops it made no announcement. It seemed The System only alerted him big news.

He was proven right when another alert came.

THE SYSTEM: Congratulations! You just reached Level 10. Your reward for reaching Level 10 : Halberd. Bronze Equipment. Attack- 50. Defense- 12. Multiplier in effect due to Yin-Yang Pill.

And here, Ye Qiu thought that he would be fighting with his fists the whole day. Because he knew that Level 1 boars do NOT give weapon drops. Also, Level 1 boars do NOT give you enough experience to level up to level 10 within a few minutes.

Since he was already level 10, he moved to another area of the map where there were higher -levelled monsters. After 10 minutes or so, he slowly climbed up to level 13. He was quite happy with his progress then something happened

THE SYSTEM : Warning! Hidden Boss Egg-Plant appeared.

And all of a sudden his sight went dark.

THE SYSTEM: You have been killed by Hidden Boss Egg-Plant. Your level has been knocked down to Level 3. Revive nearby? Or Revive on site?

This system was truly heartless. Ye Qiu had no choice but to revive nearby. He couldn't risk reviving on site and being slaughtered by this Hidden Boss again.

He moved to another area and then began farming for XP's again.

This time it took him two hours to reach to level 20. While farming he had got some decent drops. Now he had at a Level 5 boots and a Level 8 Armour.

THE SYSTEM: Poison effect of the Hidden Boss Egg-Plant completely healed. Health is back to normal.

This shocked him. He didn't know he was poisoned by the Egg-Plant even after he was killed. That meant all this time he was fighting the mobs while being poisoned? He was pissed with this system. But he could not do anything about it.

It took him 8 hours to finally reach level 50. The multiplier effect of the Yin-Yang Pill pulled him through a mission that he initially thought was impossible.

He finally returned to the Beginner's Village and found Abigail, the child NPC.

" CONGRATULATIONS for reaching Level 50! Your reward is Hua Pill. Have a nice day, LordGrain," she said chirpily while handing out a white pill towards Ye Qiu.

She returned to picking her apples after Ye Qiu accepted the pill.

He thought his dream was the weirdest one. First, he had used the unknown pill before he fell asleep and now inside his dream, the game had given him another pill.

And when he tried to figure out the information on this pill, he came up with nothing. Like before, he had never heard of this pill before and there was no information floating around the pill.

Ye Qiu didn't think seriously and popped the pill into his mouth. Then came what he dreaded in his heart.

THE SYSTEM: You have consumed Hua Pill. Your sensation is restored to normal. Player can now feel normally.

What does this "can now feel normally" mean now?!

Don't tell me I can now feel pain!!!
