The Legend Of The Rune Master

Dragx stood in his study room still covered in  the armor.

"So your not the one who sealed my soul away?" Zayde asked.

"No I am not." Dragx answered

"And it has been 30 thousand years since my 'death' and you some how brought me back using runes? " Zayde questioned.

"Yes." Dragx answered plainly.

"Very well, may you tell why you decided to free me?" Zayde asked

Dragx was taken back at Zayde's quick acceptance and acknowledgement.

"You trust me that easily?" Dragx asked.

"I remember who sealed me now and I know that a great number of years could have passed without me knowing.

It is also quite obvious that I don't have a body, I was just in shock that I awakened to me it feels as though it just happened."Zayde said

Dragx was still unable to move.

He didn't like not being able to move his body especially after what happened when he was reborn. So he asked Zayde" could you release me now I'm really uncomfortable."

" I didn't do anything to you, I thought you did this". Zayde said to dragx.

Dragx then realized that he couldn't move because he was not inducing enough energy into the circuit and he immediately started to inject his magic into the circuit. He felt the familiar energy flood his body. He then tried to move. Dragx placed his left foot forward then his right and then his left again, he started walking  he rolled his shoulders and clenched his fists, he felt like he was discovering a new part of himself.

Dragx, for some reason could not help but to feel  invincible as the magical energy flowed in his veins. Dragx relished the clanking sounds the armor made as it moved with him.

Dragx opened his study room door and exited it. Dragx immediately went to his room to get a good look of himself in the mirror.

Dragx entered his room and stood before his mirror. Dragx was awe stricken with his appearance. Dragx looked at himself completely covered in armor he could not even see his face! The armor looked the same as it did before it fitted itself to him.

It's only and biggest difference was the creases and openings of the armor where glowing silver light. He could only see his eyes.

They where glowing purple!

It was then that dragx realized why the armor fell apart and why it then latched on to him.

The armor had enough energy to become physical, but the armor or Zayde was similar to the fire winged hawk. It needed continuous magical energy to stay tangible.

Just as the rune was about to fail the armor's linked itself with it's original power source.

Due to dragx  mixing his blood with the runes that formed the armor.

"This is truly amazing." Dragx thought to himself while forgetting that he was not alone in his mind.

"Indeed it is." Zayde agreed with him.

Zaydes metallic voice shook dragx  from his stupor.

Dragx started to talk mentally, " umm I don't think I introduced myself as yet. My name is Dragx futhark and  i am a failed mage."

"Nice to meet you dragx ,I assume you already know my name so introducing myself would be redundant." Zayde said.

"Why did you awaken me, dragx." Zayde asked this question a second time.

"I awakened you because I want to uncover the mysteries of this world, and to do that I need power to defend myself and those who follow me." Dragx answered.

"Alright if that is what you want I will help you to achieve your goal. I will teach you everything I know." Zayde stated.

"Thank you, we begin tomorrow." Dragx stated.

"Tomorrow? Why not today or now?" Zayde asked incredulously.

"Because Zayde I am mentally and  physically drained from creating your rune. I need rest to recover from the mental strain." Dragx said mentally to Zayde.

"Very well, we begin tomorrow." Zayde stated.

Dragx placed his arms together and disconnected his negative energy from his positive energy. The armor immediately vanished from around his body. Dragx looked at himself in the mirror once again before he walked over to his bedside and fell on his bed. Dragx fell asleep before his head hit the pillows.

The sun was just beginning to rise in the  town of  kaunan, the streets where less crowded in the early morning and the environment was quite and peaceful.

Dragx rode on his horse towards the exit of the city, he trotted past the guards who where used to seeing him leave and return.

As soon as he entered the forest he picked up speed. Dragx wanted to test Zayde, he wanted to see how much his new rune could manage. So he decided to experiment  this in the wilderness and fight weak beasts then more powerful ones. If the beast became too powerful he would retreat.

The deeper you went into the wilderness the more powerful the beasts would become.

Dragx rode until he came across the magical ward that was placed in a 5 mile  radius around the city.

Dragx felt a faint resistance as he passed through the ward. Immediately  exiting the ward dragx heard a loud high pitched beast roar. It sounded distant though.

The wilderness has thicker vegetation than inside the wall and seemed to be alive it self.

Dragx unmounted his horse and took out a item seal. This was a seal type rune that stores objects into it.  Dragx himself always tired to find out how  it did this but he always came empty even the creators of the seal didn't know how.

He placed the seal on the horse's body and activated the seal an the horse vanished with a white glow .

Dragx put his palms together and  balanced and connected his positive and negative energy and activated the Imperial knight circuit, silver light surrounded his body and the armor appeared on him.

"Let's test out how strong  you are, Zayde!"

He then continued on into the wilderness.
