Although they had prepared fifty arrows, the quantity of liquid nitrogen used on them was very low, so there would be no actual damage done even if they all hit the same person. However, the pain the victim would feel was a different matter.

Tong had two people firing the arrows one after another. After using up all the arrows, they silently left the stadium without a trace of ever being there.

Shortly after they left, the power was restored to the stadium.

The panic stricken girls were only able to see each other once the power had returned. However, to the surprise of Mu Qingyao and some of the other girls, there was a group of the team standing on the sides of the stadium. They noticed that there wasn’t even a hint of panic or confusion of the girls’ faces, as if they knew that it was going to happen. As if they knew that the target was Mu Qingyao alone.

Mu Qingyao looked at the group of girls for help, but in a split second all the hope in her eyes was turned to dust.

The tomboy with the bow asked Tong Yan after leaving the stadium, “Why did you notify some of the girls in advance about your plan? In fact, even if all the girls were running around in chaos, I wouldn’t have missed.”

“I just want Mu Qingyao to know that she is hated by a lot of people. That kind of agony, coupled with the soreness she will feel, will be enough punishment for her.”

“You are quite ruthless, aren’t you?”

Tong Yan lowered his head and sent a message with his mobile phone: Have you found out what was in the medicine?

Tong Yan unscrewed one of the pills and looked at the white powder inside. He was afraid that it was lime powder. Xu Xinduo had a bad stomach and wouldn’t be able to bear it.

Housekeeper: It’s just flour.

Tong Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

Tong Yan called Xu Xinduo and intended to tell her so that she could rest assured.

After the call was connected, Xu Xinduo’s voice sounded a little strange: “Hello, what’s the matter?”

“What are you doing?”

“Eating snacks and soaking my feet.”

“Do you still eat snacks while soaking your feet?”

“Yeah, there are way too many snacks in the apartment. They are everywhere so I grabbed some at random and started eating without holding back. On top of that, soaking your feet is the cheapest way to stay healthy.”

Hearing Xu Xinduo’s voice, Tong Yan’s mood quickly improved. Normally, it was pretty difficult for him to calm down, when someone really pissed him off. However, after just a simple call, he seemed to be completely healed, and smiling happily. As the smile appeared on his face, his eyes sparkled like stars in the night sky.

He told Xu Xinduo about the test results and that she could rest easy.

Xu Xinduo replied indifferently: “Okay, but you should also go home.”

“How do you know I’m not home?”

“There is a rumor going around…. More importantly, I know you too well.” Xu Xinduo paused for a moment before saying, “Thank you.”

The incident involving Mu Qingyao was quite serious.

She didn’t go to class the following day.

Mother Mu even personally went to the school regarding the matter. The school was very cooperative, but all the class monitors were only acting passively. When they went to investigate and question the other students in the cheerleading team, everyone said that they didn’t know anything. After asking some more questions, they were left with no answers to what happened.

Afterwards the school turned to Mu Qingyao and asked if she had any conflicts with anyone in school recently. Mother Mu hesitated and wondered if Xu Xinduo could have done it, but she couldn’t bring herself to believe such a conclusion.

Naturally, Mu Qingyao did not want to confess that she had messed with Xu Xinduo’s medicine. If she was asked about her relationship with Xu Xinduo, she would definitely say that she didn’t know anything.

The Mu Parents didn’t really know what kind of personality and character Xu Xinduo had, but they thought that Xu Xinduo might have been involved in it.
