Soon after we entered the city, Paul finally woke up. After looking around for a moment, he seemed to notice that he was moving. Looking down, he saw that Luke was carrying him on his back.

"Lucifer. I'm awake now. You can put me down." Paul said, clearly embarrassed to be carried by another man.

"No problem." I said as I set him down. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling fi-..." Paul started before suddenly being tackled from behind. Gina had flung herself at Paul the moment I set him down, tears falling from the corners of her eyes.

"Paul! I'm so glad your safe! I wouldn't know what to do if I had really lost you." Gina sobbed into Paul's shoulder as they lay on the street.

Paul hugged Gina tightly as tears formed in his eyes. "I'm sorry for making you worry. I'm so sorry."

"Not to ruin the moment, but we are in the middle of the street." Bella pointed out.

Paul and Gina looked around. There were few people on the streets right now, since everyone had taken shelter the moment the city guards had rung the bells. Only now were people returning to their daily routines.

Quickly, the couple stood up and brushed off the dust and dirt from their legs. Once they were satisfied with their appearance, Gina held Paul's and tightly, clearly not intending to let go. With a smile, Paul tightened his grip slightly, letting Gina know he was there.

"By the way Lucifer," Paul said. "What happened to the monster? The last thing I remember after being sent flying by that monster, was a shadow blocking my view and a numbness creeping through my body."

"That was the Guildmaster. He had run ahead to fight the monster the moment I got back to the city with Gina. He held off the monster so I could get you to safety." I said.

"After Luke brought you away from the fight, a group of healers tended to your injuries. It's thanks to them you're still alive." Bella said.

I was about to correct her, when I realized she hadn't seen Velli use his ability. I'd tell her about it later, since it was a good trump card to have hidden.

"So that's what happened. Huh." Paul said, somewhat awed by the story. "I still have a long way to go before we can achieve our dream."

We all chuckled a little at that. A few minutes later, we had arrived at the guild. It was already almost evening, so most adventurers were already eating at the bar and only a few were still collecting their rewards.

While we waited for the Guildmaster to return, we decided to get some food at the bar. Paul went over to the bartender to order a few dishes of meat, while the the rest of us found an empty table in the corner of the dining area. It was crazily loud in the guild, as many of the adventurers were extremely drunk. In all honesty, it was since to hear so much noise. The forest was too quiet compared to the guild.

Shortly after we sat down, Paul came back with news. The food would be ready in a few moments. He had paid at the counter, and wouldn't let Bella and me pay for our meals. According to him, it was a way for him to say thanks for helping save his life. Once he put it like that, it was hard to argue.

The food finally came and we all stopped talking to enjoy our meal. Each bite was like a feast after eating dry meat and plain vegetables for the last few days. I didn't forget to give some to Velli, after all, he was now m

Almost too soon, we had finished eating our meals. We all had slight smiles lighting up our faces as we leaned back in our seats.

At that moment, the doors to the guild opened and a massive man walked in. Guildmaster Brandon looked around and quickly located us in the corner of the bar. The moment we made eye contact, the four of us stood up and made our way over to him.

"Did you discover anything, Guildmaster?" Bella asked once we were close enough.

Guildmaster Brandon shook his head and after a brief moment said, "Well, nothing came from investigating the body. However, I can say that that was not a natural monster. We can talk about it in my office, after I hear your report."

Three hours later, we finished our verbal report and passed over the written details to Guildmaster Brandon. After skimming through the report, Guildmaster Brandon said, "I don't know if you know this, but Frenzy Boars are the most dangerous monsters to generally be found in the forest. The fact that you found a corpse of one, clearly having died in a fight is worrying. It was probably killed by that monster that was chasing you guys."

After seemingly deliberating about something for a moment Guildmaster Brandon said, "What I'm about to tell you can not be told to anyone outside this room. Understood?" After we all nodded our heads in agreement, he took out a small red head from his pocket. "This was inside the head of the monster. This small bead is called a Creation Bead. It's an illegal and dangerous item that can give life to a body, no matter it's shape or size. A thousand years ago, most armies had battalions of these monsters, but eventually, they were all destroyed because this bead would eventually cause the monster it created to go crazy and it would simply attack everything in sight."

We were shocked to hear that such a terrifying thing actually existed. "Why would anyone create such a horrible thing?" Gina asked.

"We don't know who created them, we only know it originated from the now extinct Sudelion Empire." Guildmaster Brandon answered. "It seems someone is experimenting with Creation Beads. Be careful from now on. Whoever it is, probably knows that you know about the Creation Bead now, and will almost certainly have eyes on you."

With those ominous words, the conversation ended and we left the guild. It was now late into the night and we were all hungry again. Guildmaster Brandon had given us the reward for the quest before sending us off, so we decided to keep to our plan and eat a hearty meal in a restaurant.

After finding a restaurant that piqued our interest, we ordered our meal and dug in. The place was called The-Out-Of-Towner. It was a steakhouse with many different unqiue meats on it's menu. We ended up partying late into the night, celebrating a successful quest.
