The Princess And The Demon

While other demons were feeding on the Gods watch, Henry wasn't able to hold himself back any longer, in a swift move he pulled Rima into his arms in a bear hug, letting all his worries and frustration wash away with the coolness of her body, weirdly he liked how cold she felt, humans usually prefered warmth but here he was, enjoying the small chill she was emitting, it meant she was there within his reach, safe and sound, he breathed in her scent, like fresh snow, he thought, her body was stiff at first, surprised by his sudden show of affection but it quickly relaxed in his embrace, her arms wrapped around him, both weak and strong, he loved this side of her, a side she only showed to him, her vulnerability, the softness under the sheen ice, it surprised her as well, the little scared girl in her who was buried under tons of ice only felt safe in his arms, the human king somehow managed to reach into her depths and pull her up, not the queen the cruelty of her life made her, not the fighter she was forced to become, but simply, her, in all n.a.k.e.dness and vulnerability, it was exposed to him but instead of being wary she was feeling safe...she nearly m.o.a.n.e.d when he barried his head in the croak of her neck, she wanted to say something but there was nothing left to be said, their actions, their touches, their craving for each other, the way his arms were wrapped on her she was locked in a comfortable tight posture were she couldn't move an inch away, the way their bodies were touching intimately with no space between them for air to pass, all words seemed irrelevant, unnecessary and unfulfilling to what she really wanted to say, instead of talking her heads moved to find the back of his neck, she c.a.r.e.s.sed it softly assuring both of them that they were together, safe...

A throat clearing was heard infront of them forcing them to snap out of the little love trap they were in, it was that servant girl who worked for Eren, Andrea something, the only survivor rather than herself from the scouts team.. speaking of the shadows lord, where was he, she heard he stayed behind to distract the sea monsters, she wondered if he survived, he was strong and he didn't have to restrain himself with his powers, but on the other hand the sea monsters were the most terrifying thing she saw, it was not only their appearance nor their strength, it was the fact that the only felt the blood thirst and nothing more, they were mindless monsters that felt no pain, no remorse, no regret, no hesitation, nothing but the urge to shed blood, she wished the shadows lord was okay, shee wasn't a big fan of him, but he was much better than that traitor Micka, in her eyes, Eren was more trust worthy...

Rima didn't realize Henry didn't really let go of her, he just loosened his hold a bit so she could move a little in his embrace, it was obvious he didn't mean to let go any time soon, nor to hide his affections toward her either, as much as it sent butterflies dancing in her stomach, she wondered if it was a good time, they just got out of a battle, and now they are heading to another one, nothing was really clear nor guaranteed yet, they may not walk out of here alive, she feared the future, life taught her that nothing stays the same, and that hapiness was as rare as the lonely moon in the darkened night sky...

"What is it?" she snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Henry question the girl, the Andrea quickly hid her smirk, putting on a serious face she answered briefly..

"We have caught the archers, ten of them"

"That is good news" Henry announced before he was cut by Rima...

"Who gave you the orders, certainly non of us" Rima was irritated, not by the fact that they caught the archers but her intuition kicked in when she saw the smirk on Andrea's face, she didn't know what was she planning but she knew she was not going to like it...

"Apologies my lady, but both of you were so... ahum... caught up" she said with a hint of mockery, "So i gave the order.."

"Did you kill them all? " Henry asked, he frowned when Andrea nodded her head, he had many theories to confirm and he hoped interrogating one of the "newborns" would help...

"Very well, we need to call back the others" Rima didn't want to bicker with the demon girl, with Eren gone she was the highest in command, she didn't know what happened back in the dark forest but it must be a huge conflict since none of his advisors bothered to show up...

"I need to go check the location of the archers, there is something i need to confirm" Henry said in a soft voice, she wanted him to say with her but there was so much that needs to be done, she needed to estimate the casualties and reorganize the army, staying together was going to cost them time they don't have...

"I will lead the way your highness" the demon girl suggested, Henry gave her a nod before shifting his gaze to the beautiful girl in his arms, he smiled att her warmly before pecking her forehead..

"Be safe... "

"You too... "

And with that each took a different direction, the cloak of fog was still covering the shore and Rima didn't want to risk removing it and exposing themselves, instead she sent each ship an ice bird of her creation to lead them back...

When they were far enough, Andrea glanced over her shoulder to the human king, her lord was left behind fighting the sea monsters alone, there was no sign of him and there was wasa big chance that he was long dead, all while these two are hugging and kissing, the thought made her blood boil, thinking back at her lord...

"I'm glad you survived, it is only you and Rima who did... " Henry felt the girl's side gaze, he wanted to ignore it but maybe he could understand why was she showing such animosity towards him and Rima...

"Oh yeah, it was tragic though, we would not have survived if it wasn't for the queen's brave decision" she answered while faking innocence, things were about to turn interesting...

"What brave decision?" Henry asked naively, he was feeling proud of his ice queen without even knowing what she did, but never in his life could he be ready for what he have heard....
