The Runaway Mafia Queen

Chapter 13 - 12- Together

"Varys!" Hector shouted in frustration when he saw Varys driving away without him and Hope.

"And here goes our ride." Hope chuckled.

"This is not funny!" Hector w.h.i.n.ed which made Hope's chuckle turn into a full blown giggle,

"Now how are we going to reach college on time?"

"That is how." She indicated behind Hector. Hector instantly turned around with confusion on his face to see what Hope was pointing at.

Hope literally saw Hector's jaw dropping to the ground.

Stella, in all her beautiful glory, wearing a blue, skin tight, off- shoulder top and white, s.e.xy as hell shorts, was walking towards them with the keys to her swift car jiggling in her fingers.

"Ready baby?" Stella eyed Hector, gave him a once over and suddenly smacked a kiss on Hope's lips.

Hope instantly made an 'eww' face but Stella's eyes warned her from spilling any word out of her mouth.

Hector's face suddenly felt like someone had snatched his favourite candy from him.

"You both are together?" He asked with sadness clear in his voice.

Hope was dying to laugh her a.s.s off in that moment because clearly, Hector's mind had just gotten blown away by the beauty.

"Getting late." Stella blew out the bubblegum in her mouth and grabbed Hope's hand,

Hope was just wondering why Stella would want to pretend to be involved in a relationship with her in front of Hector.

"Get going, baby boy." Stella arched her left eyebrow at Hector, "Not getting late now?"

"I am not a 'baby boy'," Hector fumed instantly, "call me Hector, or nothing at all!"

A pretty smile covered Stella's lips. And Hector had literally stopped breathing.

"Okay 'Nothing At All'," Stella said while walking away to her car with Hope's hand in her own,

"Get in the God damn car or f.u.c.k off. We have got lots of shit to do."

Hope clenched her eyes shut while wincing. What was up with Stella today?

Hope turned her head around and mouthed a sorry to Hector while pleading with her eyes.

To her relief Hector did not bicker any further and stomped away and ahead of them to the car.

The car was already on. He opened the passenger door and got inside.

"That is where Hope sits."

Stella snapped while bending down to look at Hector through the window while Hope silently went to the backdoor and hauled her a.s.s inside before they get any later.

Hector smiled like a Cheshire cat and replied,

"There is no name etched in the seat of your car. So I do not agree with you."

Stella's lips pursed in anger while Hector smiled at his victory,

"This is MY car so I decide who sits where!"

"Not anymore apparently." Hector grinned.

"Guys!" Hope finally snapped angrily. "How much time do you think we have got left to reach college?"

Stella glared at Hector for another five seconds before stomping towards the driver seat and getting in.

"This is the last time I let you sit in my car." Stella squinted her eyes at Hector while starting the car and pulling away.

Hope clutched her head in her head. Here we go again.

And without disappointing herself, she got to hear their bickering and snapping through rest of the ride to the college.

As soon as the car stopped, Hope grabbed her bag and got the hell out of it like her a.s.s was on fire.

She bent down to her waist at the window to look at Stella and Hector, and softly said,

"My head is literally splitting open in pain. I am going to class. Call me in an hour."

Then without waiting to hear their response, she ran away from there to save her life.

*****

Varys was sitting in class, glaring at the blackboard so hard in anger like it had ruined his reputation somehow.

As soon as he had pulled away from the spot outside Hope's house, he had regretted his decision. In his anger and frustration upon seeing Hope and Hector together, he had probably lost his last chance to meet Hope.

And his day was not getting any better either.

As soon as he had entered the class, turned out they were combined with the newcomers of college to sit and mingle and share knowledge and college experience.

Freaking shit had f.u.c.k.e.d up his mind already and then the lecturer entered.

But he obviously did not give a damn. He was at the top of his class, in fact, the whole college. The golden star in Economics and Football. He obviously could afford missing one god damn, idiotic class.

A girl walked to him to sit on the empty seat right next to him. His terrifying glare instantly went to her. Scared immediately, she strutted away to the only empty seat left inside the class, away from him.

There was no way he was going to tolerate this bullshit.

He collected all of the books in a pile and stood up to get out of the class while the old, geezer Lecturer in front of him lectured about how much important the teamwork was.

As soon as he got up and the lecturer's eyes turned to him, a voice interrupted them that came from the doorway,

"I am sorry for coming late." Hope rushed inside to find the first empty seat possible in the fully crowded classroom.

Without looking at anything, with her head continuously focusing on the ground to avoid unnecessary attention on herself, she searched for the first empty seat that she could find.

She climbed up the steps. First, then second, and then to fifth and then to eighth. But all seats seemed full.

Just as she had given up on finding a seat for herself today, assuming she was definitely too late for her first class and now she will need to leave it, her eyes dropped at the empty corner seat in the farthest corner of the last row.

Finally!

Taking a deep breath in relief, she quickly climbed up the rest of the steps. As soon as she was there, without wasting any more time, she dropped her bag in the empty seat and dumped her things on the table.

She quickly adjusted her a.s.s in her seat with a loud sigh and happy smile, and then her eyes went up to look at the person beside her who seemed to have gotten stuck in a standing position.

No sooner had her eyes collided with him, with the only person in the world that had left her in goosebumps and shivers in the first meeting only, she shot off from her seat in shock.

The smile immediately got wiped off of her face.

Was it a scary dream or was it just a way of God to kill her bit by bit throughout the year?
