The Saint's Trial: Can He Resist Their Charm!?

"I love you Saeko. I don't want you to leave me. I want you to stay by my side forever," Hiroto said while looking at her.

Saeko was shocked by this. She never expected that Hiroto would really confess to him, so it made her emotional.

"T-That, *sniff* I-I love y-you too Hiro! I love you so much! I don't want to leave your side! I want to be with you forever!" Saeko said while crying tears of joy. She hugged Hiroto and burried her face in his c.h.e.s.t. They stayed like this for a while before he patted her shoulders and said,

"Let's go eat dinner Saeko. It's getting late and we need to be up early so we can visit the adventurer's guild," said Hiroto.

Saeko just nodded and followed Hiroto to the dining hall of the Poison Ivy Inn. They were greeted by Ermille who saw them coming down the stairs.

"Hello ma'am and sir! Do you want me to prepare dinner for you two? This is the Menu" asked Ermille.

"Ah, yes! Please prepare beef stew and some rice, a dinner for two!" said Hiroto.

"That would be 100 eris sir!" Ermille said.

"T-This is the payment. Please bring the meal to that table over there," Hiroto said. When he heard her words, Hiroto couldn't help but feel devastated. His money now amounts to only 100 eris.

After a while, their meal arrived and they ate happily while having some random conversation about their first experience in this world. A few moments later, they finished eating after flirting with each other.

"Thank you for the meal," Hiroto said to Ermille before going upstairs with Saeko.

When they reached their room, Hiroto kissed Saeko's forehead.

"Good night Saeko. Sweet dreams!" Hiroto said before trying to go and sleep on his bed but he was stopped by Saeko, who is holding the hem of his uniform.

"T-That, good night to you too Hiro," Saeko said shyly before she tiptoed and kissed him on his cheeks. After she did this, she bolted to her bed and covered her whole body with her blanket.

Hiroto couldn't help but smile in her antics. He went to bed and covered himself with a blanket coming up to his shoulders.

'Good night Ariel-chan, you go to sleep too ok? *kiss*' Hiroto said before imagining that he was kissing a loli with platinum blonde hair with rainbow colored tips on her forehead. After doing this, he fell asleep.

He didn't hear Ariel say, ‹Stupid Hiro! Smelly Hiro! Hmph!› for some unknown reason.

3rd Week of Spring, Early Morning.

Hiroto woke up and felt a soft feeling on his left c.h.e.s.t. He looked at that side and saw a person with strawberry blonde hair and a pair of bat wings decorating each side of it. She was Ermille who snuck in her for some unknown reason and slept in his bed.

He looked at her and tried to wake her up by shaking her shoulder a bit. It seems to have worked because she slowly opened her eyes.

Looking at the familiar person in front of her, Ermille smiled before she brought her lips close to his. She was a few centimeters away from kissing him when she was stopped by him.

"Please tell me why you are here," Hiroto said quitely.

"T-That, I was planning on asking you if you could give me some of your vitality but stopped when I saw you sleeping peacefully. T-Then mysteriously, my hunger for vitality disappeared when I was beside you. S-So I sat next to you at first and didn't notice that I fell asleep after," explained Ermille rather meekly.

"Is that so? I've been meaning to ask you this but, are you really a s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s? I mean, no offense but, you don't seem like one. Your looks and the way you act, it's really not like what I imagined a s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s would be like," Hiroto asked. He was really puzzled by this. Ermille was at first shocked but soon realized that she told him about asking for vitality so she calmed down fast.

"Oh that? Yes, I am a s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s, but I'm still a newbie. I've never s.u.c.k.e.d anyone's vitality before so I look like this. A lot of the older s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s look so voluptuous because they have taken a lot of vitality from human males," Ermille explained.

"So, do you still need my vitality?" asked Hiroto.

"N-No, I don't feel like taking some from you. Besides the urge is now gone thanks to you," said Ermille.

"No, it's ok. Take some of my vitality, you might need it for something," Hiroto insisted.

"O-Okay, but just a little okay?" Ermille agreed and started to try and take some vitality from him. Hiroto felt like he was getting tired a bit but it soon disappeared.

Ermille, who s.u.c.k.e.d some of Hiroto's vitality, felt weird. She doesn't know the reason why, but she felt like taking only this man's vitality from now on. She can't explain the feeling she have right now.

'I should ask Onee-chan later,' thought Ermille.

"T-Thank you for your help Hiroto-san. Oh and, my name is Ermille Cenoire. Pleased to meet you," said Ermille politely.

"My name is Ariyoshi Hiroto. Nice to meet you too Ermille-chan," Hiroto said with a bright smile. Although he already know her name, he felt good when she didn't lie to him and introduced herself in her real name.

"Would you mind getting off me now? Saeko might wake up anytime soon and we'll be in for a big trouble," Hiroto whispered.

"O-Okay, I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to do this," Ermille apologized.

"It's fine ok? Just tell me when you need vitality. It looks like I can regenerate vitality fast," Hiroto replied.

"Thank you so much," Ermille said before she kissed his cheeks and moved away, getting out of the room. After she came out, Hiroto could hear skipping footsteps.

'Sigh, I sure am wondering how that girl is a s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s. She's cute and not a voluptuous beauty! For God's sake!' Hiroto yelled in his mind.

«Well that is probably because you didn't know that s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s females needs vitality to 'grow up'. It's a weird constitution that these race have in this world. You will find out some weird changes to the fantasy you know later on when you travel," Ariel said.

Hiroto couldn't help but sigh. This girl really wants to break the image of a 'fantasy' in his mind. Suddenly, Saeko's voice can be heard next to his ears

"You know, you could have gotten that girl earlier in seconds. Why did you not take that chance?" Saeko asked, a little confused.

"That, I don't want to be with a girl that doesn't love me back. I mean, yes I am possessive and I don't want my girl to leave me. That's why I'll do my best to avoid that from happening," Hiroto answered.

"So you mean, you will accept them if they love you?" Saeko asked.

"Not necessarily. I won't like someone who loves me because of just my looks. I don't know, I just don't like it. And besides, my quest in here is to get some companions and not girlfriends," Hiroto replied.

"You say that but you definitely want to add someone in our family right?" said Saeko in suspicion.

"W-What do you mean? Are you doubting your boyfriend?" Hiroto said while stuttering a bit.

"That's not what I mean. I just want to have a big family! So that we can be more happy!" Saeko said before hugging his arms. Hiroto kissed her on her lips before saying.

"I don't know about the future but, I want to be with you for now. Let's first enjoy the moment that there are just the two of us ok?" Hiroto said while patting her head. Saeko turned into a cute and docile kitten when he started petting her.

"Let's go to the Adventurer's Guild Saeko. There might be a lot of people there in the afternoon so we have to go now," Hiroto said.

"Oh, right! Have you distributed your Status and Skill Points? It might affect your job selection so assign it on some of your attributes," Hiroto reminded her.

"Ah! I totally forgot! Wait a second, I'm gonna assign it," Saeko said before she closed her eyes and then opened it again. Now, it looks like she is looking at him but not at the same time.

'She's probably looking at the Status Window,' Hiroto thought.

«You should go get a Subjugation Quest after you become an Adventurer. You might become penniless if you don't start making money!› Ariel-sensei reminded him.

'Yes Ariel-chan, I will do my best!' Hiroto thought as he clenched his fists. He still needs to go to that dungeon that her mother told him.

'I want to get that Amagiri Bright Dragon Style sword manual hehe' Hiroto thought while thinking about doing those cool moves himself.

"Done!" Saeko shouted after a few moments. She stuck onto Hiroto's arm and said,

"Let's go to the Guild now!" Saeko saide while pointing onwards.

'Oh, right. Ariel-chan, please show me Saeko's status. I want to see where she added her points,' Hiroto asked.

I noticed this when she was pulling the bow in our first battle, it looks like a high strength is required to pull it to reach maximum damage,' he thought while they walked out of the Inn and moved to the streets of Axel Town, waving at Ermille before leaving.

When they arrived at a populated district, they saw a lot of people selling something on their stalls and some people holding their goods and talking to people to find some buyers. Some are haggling to lower down the price of the goods they want to buy. Hearing their converstation from a distance, Hiroto heard a familiar notification sound.

Hiroto's mouth twitched but he tried to keep a calm face. But then, the cursed sound still resounded.

'AHHHHHH!' Hiroto couldn't help but shout in his mind. Even if he can learn something fast, isn't this just too fast?!

‹Ignore it, ignore. It's a perk not a curse, so don't worry about it and enjoy the blessing ok?› Ariel said to calm him down. He took a deep breath and once again looked at the busy street.

'Let's just giv up and get used to it!' he thought and steeled himself to accept the reality.

It was quite a busy street and Hiroto even saw someone who is performing in the sidewalk. He would perform magic tricks and a lot more party tricks. Hiroto checked his status and saw that he have the potential to take the Clown, Magician, or the Jester job.

After asking some town locals for some directions, they finally arrived at the Adventurer's Guild. When he entered through the entrance door, he was blocked by a person with a huge build and an outfit that seems to be saying 'I'm a RUFFIAN BOYYA!' out loud, along with a familiar notification sound.

(A/N: I just like the sword so much and also, I want a sword that can be of help in his future battles! I'm also researching some good encounters that can turn into jokes or disaster real quick. Just to add some KonoSuba flavor to the fanfic. Although there will be a lot more worlds he can go to, it is still great for me to learn new writing styles and such. Also, I assumed that this ruffian do this everytime he saw a new promising adventurers. At any rate, that Quest is one time only and I hate copy pasting another person's work so I will think of a plot for myself)

'What the heck?! I gained that freakin' awesome sword because of this ruffian looking dude? Should I thank him or should I lament at the fact that I am experiencing a very cliche encounter?!' thought Hiroto while he was shocked at the fact that he gained such an overpowered sci-fi sword right off the bat.
