The Twin Swords

The place where they are is filled with silence. Everyone is looking at the corpse in front of them.

"This- how can this be ?" one of the guards said while stricken in fear because the guard that is now dead is not weaker than any of them.

Elder Meng, who is smiling earlier, now wearing a grim face.

"Baron Chang!, that strength of the strike earlier is already at the foundation establishment." Elder Meng said to the baron who also wore a grim face.

"Yeah, I've sensed it. It's close to the peak of the1st stage of the foundation establishment realm" Baron Chang replied to Elder Meng.

"All of you ! Attack him simultaneously , that strike earlier may be as strong as a foundation establishment cultivator but I'm pretty sure with his 6th stage Qi Refinement realm cultivation , he wont stay longer. And once we've killed him , his cultivation method would be shared to everyone and I'm pretty sure it's atleast at the heaven ranked " he commanded the guards who lost confidence against Tiang Bai.

All of the guards immediately take action and attacked Tiang Bai continuously.

Tiang Bai can feel the numbness of his hands due to continuously defending the attacks of the 9 elite guards who are at the peak of the qi refinement realm.

"Damn! If this continues I will very much die. I can't let them or else not only me but also my grandfather would be killed by this bad guys" Tiang Bai said panic-stricken while blocking and retreating, not knowing that these guys aren't even the little bit of threat to his grandfather.

"This is taking too much time. Baron Chang, I'm going to make my move now" Elder Meng said nervously thinking if they would be seen by others.

Elder Meng unleashed his peak foundation establshment cultivation and directly attack Tiang Bai with his sword.

"DIE!" Elder Meng said while swinging his sword with his powerful cultivation to Tiang Bai.

Tiang Bai saw the attack of Elder Meng to him and immediately used his strongest move in panic, the move he used is one of the sword techniques for using the divine sword, he already used it once and the sword he is currently using almost break and now that he use it again to block the strike his magic sword that he just bought is disintegrated into dust.

Tiang Bai barely block 80% of the sword strike while 20% of it directly hit his entire body. He puked out a mouthful of blood and fell on the ground, cant move. He tried all his might to stand and fight them in order to protect his grandfather but the amount of injuries, either internal or external, are too many and heavy. Elder Meng is surprised that he can still block the sword strike he used while being backed by his peak foundation establishment cultivation he then unleashed again a sword strike that would surely take his life this time.

"Am I really going to die?" he said looking at the incoming attack of Elder Meng.

His tears then started to flow besides his cheeks.

He is clearly crying.

He cried because he felt helpless for the first time in his life.

He cried because he didn't even know who his birth parents are.

and he cried because he remembered the teachings of his grandfather, that if someone who you should kill didn't die, not only you would be in danger but also your entire family.

He thought about his grandpa who always wore a bright smile even when he fought against bad guys.

"Mother, Father... my grandfather said to me that I can wish anything to this jade pendant of mine that you gave me and ." he said while holding the jade pendant in his neck.

"Mom... Dad... I wish my grandpa would be safe and would never be lonely when I leave this world." he wished.

The last wish that he made to the jade pendant is not materialistic nor something complex but is something that only a few people would ever wish for.
